LEGO Star Wars 2022 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Archer replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
TLG said what they said, but as maaaaaaaaany people here have reiterated over and over, there is solid evidence that a UCS set made at minifig scale will have more figs for that reason. While the larger than minifig scale sets tend toward 1-2 related figs who don't "fit" into the actual set. I will eat my Finch Dallow mini-figure if a UCS AT-TE at minifig scale wouldn't have figs in numbers comparable or greater than this AT-AT, it was designed to accommodate the figs, they will include a few. -
Correct me if I'm wrong but Santa in the Sant's Sleigh set is the first fig to have red and black legs. Santa + Knight Rider (swap for red arms) + Ten Nunb = Best Purist Nien Numb we have ever been able to do right?

I think the Titanic set is a good example of minimal studs but still lego. Just an observation as I am in BrickBobs camp, I'm not for or against. I've seen a a good bit of chatter about the leg mechanism. Do we think this is an actual screw driver as some commenters indicate or do we think it's more like the tool from the Chiron? (For those unaware, the Chiron has an Allen wrench style tool made entirely of lego that is your only means of properly raising and lowering the car's rear fin.) I think the AT-AT's tool may be one to just access a mechanism, but since the weight is a factor maybe it is a screwdriver. Before pics I would've assumed the legs are the part of this set I'd be the least interested to see detailed in a review, and now they have piqued my interest more than anything else. -

Interesting, this wouldn’t be the first time an update to a piece had unintended consequences. They slightly modified the round stud with hole piece and now it has no purchase on the HP flame piece when inverted ala Fluffy Encounter. Shame about the backpacks, but at least that’s a solid reason, and as many have said they would cause issues with sitting like the kamas did. -

Technically we got the one thing I was hoping for, the Commander is new in the new style for the Snowtroopers. It is disappointing that the snowies appear to lack backpacks again, The Commander doesn't need one but the other 4 should, luckily its nothing I cn't kit bash with the old snowtroopers. Also you can see in one of the small photos on the back of box pic that the underside is very well detailed, that and the legs interiors are usually the least pretty of the play scale models. Also Luke is wearing what used to represent only the X-Wing jumpsuits but what was I expecting, coldweather jumpsuits are gone since 2018. Veers seems to have a DBG Helmet instead of Sand Blue. -

I think after seeing 5 lego at-ate at play scale it’s very hard for me to understand how big this is until I actually see it next to a fig or a person. I had the same issue trying to visualize the size of the gunship. does the viewport on the “nose” look funny to anyone else? Too pointy? I mean safe to say I’ll get this eventually, but I’m feeling a lot of relief that I didn’t hesitate on ordering the titanic. -
So customer service confirmed my order will ship on the 8th! I was told, "you successfully avoided the iceberg and your package will set sail in the first group" they clearly have been getting a lot of these inquiries at the office . For those interested in how fast this thing sold out I ordered at 12:00 (only because I got in the online que at 11:52) and I've seen people who ordered at 12:03 who got backordered. I'm gonna blame bots on some of this.

Unsure, but your best bet is to jump on it at the stroke of midnight on the 8th. Has anybody in the US gotten a confirmation email that it will ship on time? My order has been processing for 24 hours, but I have not received the "backordered" email folks are reportedly getting.

501st Battle Pack (cheaper but should have had waaaay more supply than the Titanic), Bespin Duel & Nebulon B Frigate (maybe 2 minutes to sell out, but extremely limited stock), Mos Eisley Cantina. That being said all of these have something in common that the Titanic does not. I don't think anyone thought it would go to backorder this fast. I am glad lego got around to adding the blurb about the backorder situation.

Thats what I went with! BTW anyone keen on a day 1 AT-AT may want to observe what went down with the Titanic (Too soon?). I mean we kind of expect things to go to backorder quickly (Cantina) but last night was a speed I've only seen for highly anticipated IP sets. Throw in that SW D2Cs sell out fast in a good year it may be madness trying to snag an AT-AT. -

I know trailers are often misleading, but it does appear that Boba will be retaining his same armor for a sizable portion of this if not the entire season. I say this because many were speculating that this years Boba may be a one off. That being said it gives TLG a chance to make the helmet color better (if they have any inclination to do so) -
Got my order in at 12:05, still no confirmation email from Lego though. I knew this set would be popular, but I think this has more to do with current distribution / cardboard / supply issues than the set itself. It does not bode well for trying to obtain the AT-AT in a few weeks as that set would go on backorder fast without any of those issues.

Yeah, while I'm not expecting the official reveal until 2 weeks before Black Friday it is amazing that the only info we have is the price and piece count. That being said I think we only got the info on the Gunship one week before it's reveal. -
Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

Completely random observation, but after watching a bunch of reviews on the Eternals sets I don't believe a single reviewer said Druig's name right. One person saying it wrong would be par for the course, but I'm talking like 5+ reviewers that all miss-pronounced a name that is essentially the word "druid" with a "g" on the end. Somehow everyone is saying it Droog or Drig or Durg or Dru-Eeg instead of Dru-Ig. I've heard names miss-pronounced before, but never so universally in so many "creative" ways. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 22. Rumors and discussion
Archer replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I display my numbered (non-liscensed CMF figs) in their own spot and I want that display to have as much variety as possible, so personally I was glad for things like the firefighter. Sure lego has done a ton of them and she didn't reinvent the wheel but there isn't another similar fig in the CMF line. Obviously with a theme as varied as the CMFs everyone has different opinions on what they'll like. My only dislikes in the whole series have been things that we get 2 or 3 of, surfers, skaters, etc. -

It was hard to make out but maybe a bird watcher? There's a yellow thing next to the fourth fig. -

I'm sure many willl say the trench run is unnecessary or a weird choice, but It's one of the most iconic scenes in all of Star Wars, to the point that it was copied in two subsequent SW films. It's never been done before and could look quite nice (as long as it's nothing like last year's horrible GWP) -

Before we got the leak I was hoping ghost obi-Wan was going to finally show up. Between what HP, Chima, Hidden Side, Ninjago, and CMF have achieved with various ghostly figures opaque would be just fine! For years we excused the ghosts due to the impossibility of transparent figs but I think all these themes have proved that some transparent parts plus the aqua blue would work just fine. It would be a pipe dream but a cool 18+ set would be the "Jub- Jub" celebration scene with all three ghosts at once. -

I'm looking at that Titanic set and I'm looking at the funds I've been saving for nearly a year for the UCS AT-AT. I'm suddenly not sure if I really need more Light Gray panels and greebling in my collection. -

I’ve got 5x silver Mando helmet, 1 from each set it is in. 3 of them are as you say, but 2 are normal. -

The helmet made for Boushh Leia is an excellent example of what they've been able to do with a single mould and some paint, IMO a similar approach would be fine and possible for Cody. Question does anybody think the $800 UCS will be reason enough for TLG to separate X-Wing and Snowspeeder Pilot outfits again? If Luke is included I'd love him to have the printed arms like Zev and Will, But since 2019 Lego has done away with differentiating these outfits. I'm getting pumped up for this set now and while there aren't any "exciting" minifigs I could imagine being included (unless they go Vader Hologram piece) I'm simply interested to see what they decide to include. I can think of scenarios from 2 - 5 figs that aren't generic snowtroopers, and then of course there could be anywhere from 0 - 8 of those. If snowtroopers are included I'm not too hung up on whether or not these guys get there skirts back, but I do want the backpacks. In my display of all my Star Wars figs the snowtroopers are currently the new torso with the old backpacks. -

But you are assuming Star Wars fans will be rational . Your examples are exactly what a CMF should consist of, but many would be up in arms if their favorite clone stormtrooper variant wasn't in the CMF line, or appeared to have no chance of being in it. No one is asking for chitari or outriders in the Marvel CMF, many would expect clones in the a Star Wars CMF. -

Some input on a few things, in theory I'd love a Star Wars CMF as much as the next person, but it is definitely not the distribution method you would want for any massable troopers. Normal CMF series are short lived and sometimes certain figures can be hard to find, but aside from maybe the early days of CMF with the Spartan we have never seen any CMF wave try to handle the demand that many unique troopers would have. Unique varients of named characters would be on par with Marvel, DC, and HP lines, but troopers would just be a nightmare trying to obtain in person (I believe). Remember the first few months of the 501st pack? What if those months were its whole release window and it was 25$ cheaper? Blister packs and Battle packs are the best move for troopers. I'd love a CMF that is only named characters or alien races, but they'd never do it without troopers, so catch 22.
