  1. You have to have an introductory set, so why not the introductory scene from the first film? If they release a bag end set later then you'll be happy that you bought Gandalf arriving
  2. Had this set since just before the New year and built it on new years day. A small set that has quality and briliant detail all the way through. My favourite set in the January wave and always good too see other peoples opinions on it. Thanks
  3. It may not be significant in terms of size and no. of pieces but these are four sets that are being used to portray an element of plot, visual and narrative of potentially one of the top 3 grossing films of the year. Each set is important and I get the feel that the Loki set is the only one revealed in it's entirety because of the stills that have been released. This is a project that so far is currently 5 films released to lead up to this one film and I don't think it's a random generic Alien figure in the Captain America set, not sure why the Nick Fury/Sam Jackson fig is such a "secret" seeing as he has been mentioned already and Im not convinced that a Banner figure is coming. I think that will come later when they expand each characters individual universes from the comic perspectives in hopefully the many, many years this theme could potentially run for.
  4. My English teacher must have failed me...... Not entirely sure who are the buyers paying these extortionate prices and if they are as informed as they might be. I know the Catwoman and Superman sets are appealing to those who like to split up sets due to their low price v figure ratio but Lego shop still has them as do most online stockists. I do understand the pricing going on with the Funhouse and its related figures as the set will be gold dust in the aftermarket
  5. I would consider any set with the current Black batman yellow chest symbol to be inspired by Tim Burton and Michael Keatons films as the black suit is very rarely/if ever used in the comic lines. The figure given away at the comic cons last year as well I would consider to be inspired by Nolans films and Christian Bales portrayal
  6. Bound to be a time portal or machine involved. If you can have the undead, mutated and blood thirsty wandering around, might as well get the whole time continuum involved
  7. *Hides kids eyes* lol You are so right though, Diagon alley has that Dickensian seedy feel however it is portrayed or realised. Just don't let Hermione up on that pole......... Bought the Burrow(again), Hogwarts add on and the Knight bus today. So farewell Harry Potter I'v got all I need now.......
  8. This is something I tried to point out to you last night whilst myself trying not to mini mod. The report button is there and use it if you feel it is warranted but just declaring new members spam is really off putting. Back on topic, myself being a lover of all things John Lewis(UK shop) and having a friends brother work for there online team informs me that they are getting an exclusive of this line but alas they can't say which one yet. There boss is at the fair all week.
  9. Sucks. Wait till John Lewis get them in. I have never known a shop where the lego price fluctuates so much and if you have the time to scan some sets the bargains that can be had
  10. I think it is a good set, just a little over priced.Looking for this to go down and I'll definitely pick it up...before the wave disappears
  11. Thankyou, I know what I'll be looking at when Im meant to be working tomorrow.

I bought my kids the Prowl and Jazz sets for christmas stocking fillers and I have to say never again. They prefer them in the Car form and thats if they play with them at all. Hasbro would have been better going down the line that lego went with the Cars 2 line and worked on articulation that allowed a transformation. Then they would have had a winning product(in my opinion)
  13. Been lurking about some of the experienced games and initially I hated the idea and now I find myself wanting to try Mafia games. Will have to work out the mechanics of it first though.... :blush
  14. Still want Pink Ninja more
  15. Yeah, I'd say that is a reasonable assumption. The whole marketing makes sense as the Hobbit may be the prelude to LoTR and written first but the far more popular tale is the trilogy of books and it makes sense to make more sets based on them. I still wonder how well the Hobbit will translate into film, guessing that is why Jackson is splitting it over two films and I think(only my opinion) the LotR sets will appeal to a much wider audience and sell better.
  16. A great theme that I think by the summer may start to get heavily discounted to make way for all the new lego coming April/June/July and August. Hopefully I can pick up a T-Rex Hunter ridicuously cheap
  17. An amazing set, bought in a charity shop and currently awaiting replacement sticker sheet from Lego
  18. True but the Zombies set may just appease those upset by the VIP minifig release i.e me
  19. I'm hoping that there is a ring in every box(and a duplicate like with Two Face's coin) because I can see my kids losing those things..........
  20. I wonder if Harry Potter and Pirates is something that they may have an option to renew and just put them on mini hiatuses
  21. I'm like you. I've gotten most of the sets I want from the January waves save a few I want to be reduced first. Between now and April(Marvel) all I'll be picking up is some of the sets that are going to be discontinued. However I'm not sure if I'll be able to wait out for heavy discounts on this theme?
  22. I think it has gone, I'm not a Pottermore tester so I'm not sure all that it entails but it would have to be a cartoon or 3d re-releases to bring it back now. I better buy my Knight Bus before it cots £80 on ebay......
  23. Suggested on Brickset that Harry Potter along with PoTC and Alien Conquest will "Exit" in July
  24. If the sets are priced well and the characters all as well designed and diverse I can see this line performimg well. I'm sure it will do well with kids, it has many influences of classic childrens literature and some contemporary referencing that are well recognised across the board. And...even at this early stage, if it doesn't perform as well at retail I could see there being a healthy after market when they get discontinued. They may get lost in the rush of licences but it is breaking new ground for Lego and there are many who will appreciate its very unique style.
  25. I'd be surprised if there wasn't a female figure that hasn't been revealed. Alien conquest had one, Pharoahs quest, Atlantis. A lot of monsters to battle, need a multi tasker to keep the heads level
