LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 6 poll
surrideo replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Just for the cheese factor the female space agency/astronaut, clearly Barbarella in all but name. I wish classic space was still around. Whilst I love Star Wars it must be hindering the comeback somewhat. Alien Conquest came very close to the "old feel" though. I can see the Roman being as hard to get as the Spartan and Musketeer were for me. The Elf I found blindly four Times and the Gladiator just today. Took out all my old childhood sets recently and the bandit is a must as he is a brilliant update of a great theme. -
Tried to finish off my series 5 figs with the clearance at my John Lewis. 2 to get Mobster and Gladiator. 5 random bags yielded Royal Guard, Clown, Cavewoman and two Gladiators. Still lacking mafia/mobster but to get 2 gladiators from a nigh on empty box(15-20) left, I got the fig from the series I want most in duplicate Good day

A true case of " And the horse you rode in on" The mark up on the Catwoman and Superman sets is quite something even taking into account the "free" shipping. Ah Christmas! Fair play if they get both prices, supply and demand, but no way would I pay a % mark up like that in pounds. Our currency conversion is already awful

In the UK the biggest department store slashed the price of Slave 1 by over 50% and has disappeared from their site. You can still get it direct from Lego but I think it will start to become much more scarce now

Nice to see the website looking much tidier and up and running. So I know you can order the Batwing site off Tru.com, is that to most peoples knowledge the only set in the public domain at this time?

John Lewis are clearing out the Alien Striker at £2 and Dobbys release at £4

So I went to my parents today and retrieved all the lego from my youth from the attic. The range of sets to say the least is eclectic through Classic Space, Western, Original pirates etc A little bit of most themes from early eighties to late nineties. These sets were all broken down with instructions and put away in old ice cream/plastic tubs in my parents loft/attic. When Ive retrieved some of the figures today and put some of the bricks together they have seemed "stiff" especially heads on torsos and arms. Has anyone else had this after lego has been stored away and not played with for some time? I'm wondering if its the effect of cold or dampness or something? Any help appreciated.

I hope you don't work for the Swedish Tourist board Different kind of Monster but has a feel of Let The Right One In to me, which was a brilliant movie I'm due in Stockholm, February next year on business, will the nights be safer then? Great Moc, the trees and the whole feel and ambiance are very disconcerting, in a good way.....cause Im not walking that path through the woods

Fantastic and instantly recognisable too, what does he spin on? Going to the last pic, its like Attack Of The Clones all over again. Fooling no-one Yoda, you don't need that stick!

Last Friday, 25th. T'was my wife's email that won though so she did it. -
A bigger tripod walker with ground craft and an alien ship with ships that can be "launched" from it would be great. The HQ kinda was where the aliens were taken to be examined, just happened to be on wheels. A "Tank" on treads for the ADU would be great

Take the US dollar price number and it'll be the same in pounds and that'll not be far off. No matter where I look no one even has them for preorder in this country

Still havn't picked up this game but I do like it when a grittier version of the Penguin is portrayed. Very nice custom minifig and really must get round to buying that game.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 6 Discussion

I remember similar with the first Resistance game on PS3 with Manchester Cathedral. Could be likeness copyright..... Wondering if any of the current or coming Minifigures are an indication of coming themes like the S3 Alien minifig was. -
I doubt it, though I was in Bluewater this week and the suggestion to me was that the Lego store and website may have Dino/Ninjago/City before xmas. No use to me as I dont have a store near me but the website is there to be fair

I can see me with egg over my face when I take them shopping in the new year when they are available and they want one. At least Green Lantern is present in this line in the first wave

My/really my childrens ADU walker has just came through the door. Lets hope they can share, good timing with the start of the Suns mini xmas lego giveaway starting tomorrow. -
Wonder how well this has sold. Keep finding it now in store marked down half price or so. Whereas in previous years you couldnt find them after the middle of November, last year especially. To be honest both calendars were disappointing this year compared to last years

Cheers for that. You're probably right about Holmes and Frankenstein as book copyright dies after 100 years in the UK, and its open season for people to write "sequels". Disney would have to take over liberty and disneyize her Pooh bear or Peter pan stylee for money to be made, god forbid. In saying that the genie couldn't be much closer to a Disney Alladin genie if it tried. Wonder if they'll ever do a "I dream of Jeannie" minifig -
The sand stormtrooper is so very beautifully detailed, but I'v said it before for such an intricate print I hope there is a new Mos Eisley or similar so that they are seen again in other sets
-
I too am hopeful for new Alien conquest, but I wonder what sets can still be released for either faction? Especially on the alien side. The first/only? wave was just so well rounded and has left relatively few gaps unless they move away from the B movie feel it has but then it may lose its charm?

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 6 Discussion

With all of the collectable minifigures a lot of them are obviously based on intellectual properties but never referred to by name detective(Sherlock Holmes) The monster(Frankenstein) etc. Just doing a google search, is Lady Liberty in anyway trademarked, retained image rights that lego will have to have obtained to produce this minifig? -
I may be wrong but I can see them getting sold off cheap and being discontinued very quickly...... As for the system sets hope to see a good review soon and to tease me because it'll be at least a month till these hit the UK The superheroes website is still a mess though from the competition which Im sure is now finished. Not in the US so I dont know but these sets seem to be getting released on a relative whimper.
