It will be as the videos of the castle show them all together and a neon greeny one can be seen in the swamp monster set.
-
I know I will definitely pick up the "impulse" swamp monster set. The stars of the line are the castle and the ghost train but the lower end and mid price range sets are very disappointing imo. The minifigs remain excellent though.

I think that initial press release only applies to this first wave. It may be an assumption but I think lego will have the rights to all of Marvels comic canon and the same for DC. I'd say right now that they only have the rights to make minifig sets of the Avengers movie as Marvel have issued other rights for film merchandise for Spiderman/X men/Fantastic Four/Daredevil/not sure about Ghost rider to other companies e.g megabloks for spiderman films. I feel there is a place for both versions of the Iron man minifig, like having 2/3 versions of Batman.I do believe that the two given out yesterday are solely very limited quantity and will be like the "Dark Knight" Batman and movie esque Green lantern seen last year though
-
I'd agree on the minifigures front. UK, £2 a go and last year there were 4 series in the one calendar year. £32 a series and £128 for all 4 and thats before collecting doubles and perhaps paying aftermarket prices for the highly desirable ones.

Distinct lack of new pictures for the Marvel sets......lets hope the Bruce Banner fig doesn't trend again. On topic, I've seen plentiful pictures and videos for LoTR,Monster Fighters,Ninjago and Star Wars from last weeks Toy Fair in Germany. Whilst I understand still no pictures of the Avengers sets and the couple of comic canon ones(presumably because they are right next to the Avengers ones) I haven't been able to find any new description of the sets. It's not a language barrier either as I can read/speak/write fluent German. Am I being google illiterate?

Ok so I'll be having one of those trains!

Which is your favourite 2012 Great Vehicle ?

I'm not sure if it's the best yet, but I bought the garbage truck today as it's the one my kids wanted to add to their superheroes scenery. Built it with them and a very solid build and a fairly unique colour. It's definitely between this and the soon to be purchased Dump truck. Gret amount of pieces for the price, I need to stop buying licenced sets! -
Agreed, it's a lego representation of the characters likeness. If you want a carbon copy likeness I'm sure Megabloks would have done one but would you have wanted to buy it?. The lego minifigures classic shape is it's charm and there is a real danger too much detail or new molds would detract from what makes lego toys better imo
-
It's not fact but it's suspected that the Spiderman v Doc Ock set will be exclusive to one store another
-
Not sure about the index. Go to page 2 of this forum and there are reviews of the HQ, Triceratops trapper and the Raptor chase

I actually wondered if they may have given them "shoes" like the flippers but a hairy foot mould to attach to their feet. Im guessing that would be too expensive and disproportionate in size.

All the rendered figures look great, the detail that went into the PoTC sets are very evident in the designs. Hopefully the Urak Hai and various orcs to begin to appear in battlepack type sets or at least cheaper sets(around the £15 to £30) mark as even I, not so concerned with army building would apreciate a good number of those figs. edit: Looking at STIG's post, being from the UK. That boy on the far right Aidan Turner is no hobbit. That's a vampire in disguise

Certainly been given the best minifigs but a price like the Dragon temple that will need to come down before I go near it. Saying that bought the Fire tempele today.....

They have been asking for it......

Dear Lego, Could you please make three vastly different minifig heads so I can portray Bruce Banner. They must be distinguishable and look exactly like Eric Bana, Edward Norton and Mark Ruffalo.

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion
surrideo replied to Piranha's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I certainly can't see it running for years and years at 3 waves a year as it currently stands. Eventually they'll likely release a bum wave and the bubble will burst. Absolutely nothing lasts forever, fashions and trends change. Unthinkable as it is at this juncture. -
I hope that the gladiator in series 5 and the roman in series 6 indicates a theme that Lego may take on. Would have to be handled with tact though along with any possible return of western.
-
Yeah not always that keen to use either of those two just for figures. Ever wondered how some Bricklink stores and ebay sellers get so many of certain minifigures?. Some will get them by legitimate means but so many of my friends are now coming across and ignorantly buying tampered sets at retail. I love Lego but I'm very wary of the secondary/grey markets.

That set may well just have to be purchased then. Constrictai for me

True but it could attach to the side, but thats not the vision unfortunately. Now if only the whole thing was on a raised baseplate

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion

They are fantastic, especially in the example you give. A grandparent can't go wrong with it. It's a present that doesn't cost the world, just a litle treat -
Its a great article and tbh my kids place the Hazmat guy in the HQ all the time as they don't like the scientist that came with it. I think the CMF have inspired a lot of new developments and entire themes. The monsters in series 1 to 4 now have a theme ableit with tinkering to how they look and they brought the ghost back with them. The alien still fits in well with the Alien conquest sets, ridicuously it probably seemed a little too "real" for a kids toy. I must admit the designs they ended up with for the aliens ultimately complimented how the ships etc were designed with all the lime and purple which I think was what gives/gave Alien conquest a lot of its charm

Review: 6858 - Catwoman Catcycle City Chase

More the Hassannin claws from the PoP sets, by the looks or early images of renders for wolverine and the Monster fighters theme, that will be a new mold with the three "prongs" making a triangular shape -
Bought Batwing set today complete with £5 voucher from Argos and that is me done with the first wave and ordered Maersk train from Lego. That £5 voucher is waiting for a Marvel Universe set in April, but what one......
