Go into any bricks n' mortar store/supermarket you will likely find the books where people wanted just the minifig and granted themselves a five fingered discount Really wish DK would secure them better.....

Be interesting to see how many figures do turn up in the Arrest set. They will or should be all significantly different from previous incarnations and with the current trend of superb printing and detailing the price point will be sore on the wallet whatever country you are in. I hope the set itself is well detailed and you get a lot of his chambers and not just bare bones which some sets can resemble.

It's been said before, it would be a very big investment in new moulds for it just to be a one wave theme. IMO I don't think we'll see it this year but next January for the second wave. Though I must admit I wonder what vastly different vehicles and buildings they would come up with. I know there are vast possibilities for different dinosaurs. Bought my kids four of the seven sets for christmas and they have been easily the most played with of all the lego and other toys they got

Batmobile/two face chase plus a pharoahs quest Battle pack to take it over £50 for the Kendo jay free gift

Not exactly unexpected but just been on to S@H UK to order my batmobile/two face set and the Funhouse is now on backorder to the 9th March. Be interesting to see how long this wave of sets are around for before they are discontinued. Between that set and the Superman/Wonderwoman set I can see them having very healthy aftermarket prices(for the seller) imo

The other side of this side of this is the size of box used for the Dino Raptor Chase. Ridiculous sized box for what is inside, the Dino(Raptor in this case) doesnt need that much protection

Review: 6858 - Catwoman Catcycle City Chase
surrideo replied to AlexScammer's topic in LEGO Licensed
Great review of a brilliant introductory set to the line. It's the same price in pounds as it is in dollars but a great way to pick up Batman with a very unique and well assembled accessory. I do wish there was more than one batarang though Im not too bothered about "old" and new" versions of the various characters as Im not a completist or collector in any form. The two figures are great and I enjoy the double side feature to Catwoman/Miss Kyle. I need to find a hairpiece to compliment it... Thanks for the review, the last of the three sets I have to be reviewed. Always good to read other peoples views. Now could someone review two face and convince me to spend £49.99 on it lol -
Disappointing with all the reveals of the promotional polybag sets earlier that no Dino ones exist(or appear to) I know the moulds are expensive but it could have been the opportunity to include an egg in a promotional set imo.
-
If those two promo sets end up in a UK sun or similar promotion, I can see that Black Batman being as popular as Jack Sparrow was when they gave hime away. That'll be an early day at WH Smiths........

Great review and if I had young female relatives I would definitely pick this up for them. However there are smaller sets in the line I believe and they may be required for birthday parties etc so I'll be on the lookout to see what other sets from the line you review. Thanks for the review and spending the money so I don't have to

It is strange, but as said will just be a copy and paste image. Now owning the set I understand why Batman doesnt come with an "extra" or "spare" cape. Really doesn't need it and its a great introductory set to the line. I hope Superman gets more sets as strong as the debut Mecha set as I can honestly see this set attracting great interest, now when its available and later when its discontinued. Such a strong set and a great price in comparison to others in the line.

An excellent set for the money and a great review for such a small set. Your ninja Has a much cleaner robe print than mine got, but with all the detail it doesn't bother me too much. Im not usually one for buying multiple sets but at £5.95 in the UK some more of those Brick bricks would be nice. -
Review: 5884 Raptor Chase
surrideo replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
There are a lot of stickers, especially when 5882 comes with a lovely printed piece, maybe that could have been extended to the other sets. The raptor is great and the jeep like all the vehicles in this theme very well designed and put together. In many ways though it is all about the hunter in the fedora lol -

Catching up on the stuff we opened at christmas. This is a great little introduction to the theme. Compact vehicle, robustly built and lots of detail. The Ceophyllis(sp?) is very well printed and just tall enough to freak out the Dino guy in his car Maybe a pound or so cheaper and I would give this set full marks. -
Review: 5885 Triceratops Trapper
surrideo replied to Masked Builder's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
This set was by far and away the most popular Dino set of christmas day. The triceratiops is brilliant and the "truck" has a good old fashioned tonka truck quality to it -
9488 Elite Clone Battlepack & 9490 Droid escape, both are beautiful sets. Exceptional minifigs in both.

Superheroes(and all other 2012 set) available from Lego UK website. Ordered myself a funhouse,Catwoman and Superman. Looking forward to the new year delivery

Be interesting to see how that Bruce Wayne/Batman chamber works, unless it's very clever editing

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 6 Discussion
surrideo replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Damn it! Argyll St WH Smith is obviously much more lenient than Sauchiehall. In saying that the girl that works there had a 12 from 15 packs no doubles hit rate in there. Glad Im not an army builder of Romans in Glasgow lol -

There is a voucher that was given out last week, Im guessing he used that? Just saw a battered series 6 sleepyhead on the tracks at Hillhead Underground in Glasgow. Last time the UK gets anything first -
Agreed, like all the prelim pictures that have surfaced the last few days they are all works in progress. You think they would be up for changing the name to Halloween Apocalypse or suchlike? Surprised no Van Helsing in Lego from what can be made out from the pics
