There is no doubt that it is a good representation of the screenshots I have seen for minecraft, There is also an art and style all of its own and I can see it isn't necessarily as simplistic as it first looks as each structure has to compliment and blend in with the next. However I said the other night there that Ninjago was lego marmite. I rescind that and proclaim this to be. I appreciate its qualities but it's not for me and I won't be buying it

I do hope it comes back but I hope they improve the quality of the lower priced sets, specifically the $20/£20 ones. Just couldn't pay the money for them. The bigger sets were great, though I didn't buy any

Yeah and we always will, but lego is actually one of the few toys I think that the quality and detail has improved since my childhood. Action figures now break far more easily than my Thundercats/He man/real ghostbusters etc did, toy cars were bullet proof(maybe an exaggeration) but toys have to move on and I'd take most of the new minifigures over the ones from my childhood, I wish the sets were better designed in some cases. Back on topic I take it that there was no sighting of Palpatines arrest in the latter days of the show? Fantastic to be getting the palace and skiff set this year but surprising to since it's 30 year anniversary of RoTJ next year. They made a big deal of Empire couple of years ago, I hope these sets are the tip of the iceberg for episode 6 sets

It would be an awful lot of hassle to go through to make up a fake like the article suggests/hints. Showing my ignorance I take it this alien race are big protagonists in the Avengers comic canon

Thanks to both replies. I'm looking forward to Iron man too. Not sure which set I'll get with him in though, probably the Quinjet as it looks quite substantial, unique and has a good number of the avengers in it. The Loki pickup/jeep set is just too similar too the Raptor chase/Two face chase jeep/pick ups I have already bought this year. Jays Storm fighter is a better looking plane than the one with the helicarrier and I'll pick up Captain America cycle as its the only set I can get him in, damn the dodgy Cycle mold though.

To be fair, there is nothing that can be revealed that can't be read or watched. Same could have been said for HP, but it's certainly buiding up for a great release come August

Never mind random aliens/red skull/Nick Fury/Bruce Banner figs. By not showing them can we assume that the lego isn't going to give us random shield agents in the sets? Surely they wouldn't be a spoiler? Disappointing if not, thankfully my kids can call on the ADU to help out once the sets are released. They have better designed vehicles anyway

Anyway I don't think the second figure in the Captain set is Red Skull anymore lol or indeed Nick Fury I wonder if the bad guys are getting new gun molds?

I really hope Helms deep is £100 but I'm doubting it.........

Remembering we saw little finished shots of the DC line before it launched. Lego deserve some kudos for how they have respected Marvel and the studios wishes for this film to be under wraps at this relatively late stage.

Thanks for the pics. I'm not big on my Marvel/Avengers enemies but Im guessing there is more than enough in these preliminary builds to make an educated bet who the aliens are now?

You can tell the money and care being put into this licence. For a theme that is circa six months away the website is doing great at disseminating information and images, raising awareness of the product and whetting appetites of fans new and old.

I've been googling some of what you have suggested. Been a learning experience The one that standsout though would be a Kraken attacking a steampunk-esque boat. Not sure if it fits with the monsters already made. Definitely think the monster fighters need a mystery machine/hot rod van though

Yeah, putting a jake raines type hairpiece on Iron man when in costume, Alien conquest businessman from the tripod set, or Lex luthor suit for Lab/civilian scenes. I hope the exclusive fig does get a wider release too

I think Ninjago more than any other theme is pure "Lego Marmite" I have always loved the ninja designs up to the upcoming NRG's, though to be honest it's the eyes that I don't like so could just substitute in regular heads.

I'm hoping the reason the Iron man helmet is larger like the batman cowl is so that the opening mechanism is quite sturdy and not like say the droid arms and prone to breaking. If it is as sturdy as say a normal helmet and visor then I believe it to be a great design feature on a product as small as a minifigure.

I certainly think Diagon Alley will survive till late on in the year but shops are definitely phasing them out here. Seems to be an unholy amount of Quidditch sets unsold.

Thankfully the ones I have have survived from the nineties unchipped. Didn't realise they have been gone since then though.

Potentially stupid question but does the Gandalf Arrives set come with "The Ring"? Looking at at the video on The Brickshow I couldn't see it in the cart. Haven't worked my way through all the videos, could just be that the piece was missing from the display.
