Instantly recognisable scene from the movie. And I like how "clean" it is, the window is the focal point and too much detail could take away from that.

Barbecue, its a fish on the grill

Wondering if they will put a few together as a super pack? Maybe not this early in the line perhaps

Sounds like a Welsh delicacy............. and people chastise the Scots for eating Haggis

100% agree. I had lego when it was uniform colours and minimal printing. Lego is evolving as it has to to keep its place at the top of the marketplace. It's a business and absolutely no place for sentiment in it. I never had old Jabba, but the pictures don't look great but it was probably great when released. Also seeing all the comments for new dewbacks etc show the want for more detailed and movie/tv accurate figures. As to the comments on the brick separator, yeah I got one in the 3 biggest Batman sets and I'm guessing if I got some of the higher priced Star Wars X Wing etc I'd get one too? If they do this as a one year thing, I can see there being a healthy aftermarket in brick separators

This would make a great contest. With six planets by the end of the year maybe your idea will be realised?

I genuinely think those NRG ninjas are more disturbing/frightening to a child than anything I've seen in the Monster Fighters line up. The designs of the ninja robes have so far been class imo, especially the Dragon DX costumes from last year. Pure spinjitzu energy or not they look horrible and the faces and colors especially are bewildering. Maybe the cartoon will explain it better.

Surprised they never used the pumpkin head pieces in any of the sets
-
I do wish the Captain America bike was more like the one in the Wolverine set as that mold is inherently flawed as the front wheel sticks in every one I have. Im sure though I can maybe mod the one that came with the Pharoahs quest Guardians set last year.

Some nice stuff in there. Remind me so much of classic space especially the Kimmer. Then again the Alien defender reminds me of a space police buggy from circa 1989.

Yeah I believe I read that on brickset after the toy fair in London
-
A brilliant set, whats the colour you have used as it looks orange from my screen? My kids did the same thing but made a lime green and black one for the aliens to have.
-
Did I read correctly the price tag for the advent calendar as $49.99? Hoping I'm just tired Going through all the pics with my kids, I can see Jabbas palace being on the christmas list......They'll have to decide that or the vampires castle, whatever they don't want Im getting

Not sure which site I saw it on but the image on the box was of a black bowler and that was at the toy fair.
-
Might be good if they brought him right up to date with the jacket from the last movie and changed the hairpiece, yet I know it won't happen Maybe a diving costume from the goblet of fire?
-
Not sure of KimT's tastes but I'm sure many just buy the Star Wars sets here and a huge volume of sales would be lost, potentially endangering the business or at least it's current model

Dear Lego..... Would be a beautiful thing, though if the Rancor pit ever appears there should be another one with it

What is the white machine in the back of the Earth defence "tank" meant to be? I assumed it to be a scanner or laser machine ?

I really hope that Maul figure is the May the 4th promotion! Skiff is more expensive than I was hoping but it won't stop me getting it as like Jabbas palace the figs separately will cost more than the set. Be good to see a picture of all the Jedi starfighters together. I only have Plo Koons and I'm just not a collector but a whole squad of them must look great.

Fantastic, but very strange looking at it as spring is just round the corner where I am....I hope.....it is Scotland
-
Fantastic, excellent theme crossover Real beauty of lego that you put this together from low price point sets and your imagination shines through.
-
Can safely say I'll not be buying the dragon or sonic raider sets. I can't put my finger on it but imo Definitely pick up the samurai mech, bite cycle for my kids and some of the spinners for the more interesting snake characters and NRG ninjas.
-
I don't normally buy city but the kids wanted one for a scenario involving batman and the joker Its such a brilliant realisation of a real world vehicle and thanks for that comparison picture. This along with the tipper truck have actually made me look at City again as I and my kids have been swayed by the sci fi/licences etc and I should remember how much town I had as a kid and how much I enjoyed it

Thanks for the review, you show how much this set has to offer for what is probably the best price point in the whole range. I hope however this isnt the last batmobile set, there are many more vastly different and iconic designs that could be attempted. The most popular could well be the one from the 60's show. I'm not sure if that is copyrighted elsewhere in any way though? It had the flames coming out the back before Keatons did though. Current project with my kids is to attempt one from the comics that I can best describe as a 30s/40s Chicago gangster type car with a bat shaped fender on the front. I'll try and find an online image.

Definitely have to wait for the price on Attack at Weathertop to come down It would be nice to collect the whole fellowship, but I can't justify it with the prices I've been reading various websites. Amazon will hopefully be my friend......
