Monster Fighters 2012
Sid Sidious replied to Darth Nihilus's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I think the swamp monster may be the coolest minifig ever made. I remember dressing up as one at least three times when I was a kid for Halloween. I'm glad it's in the smallest set so I can cheaply get multiples. -
Monster Fighters 2012

We did have mummies in Pharaoh's Quest last year, ghosts in dozens of castle sets, and the werewolf, Frankenstein's monster, vampire, mad scientist, and zombie in the Collectible Minifigures; so I don't think it is outside the realm of possibility for skeletons and trolls to be done. -
Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Sid Sidious replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'm looking at a listing of general minifigs on Craigslist, and the seller says he has "5x Star wars figs ... 2 clone troopers, count dooku (red) , luke skywalker (yellow saber) - $10 extra (basically, $2 per fig)." What specific versions of Count Dooku and Luke Skywalker do you think this refers to? From what I've seen on Bricklink, both Dookus are red and Luke never had a yellow lightsaber. -
Monster Fighters 2012

These are scheduled for release in August, which means they will probably actually be released in June. Since it is almost May now, Lego has probably started shipping these sets to large retailers (TRU, Walmart, Tesco, etc.) by now, so the seller probably stole a few sets from a regional warehouse somewhere. -

All the zombie pics are coming from German ebay here. -
In WWI, planes were mostly used for scouting and other non-combat missions. They were not very deadly, and killed few people who weren't in them when they inevitably crashed. Planes in WWII were one of the main reasons that war was so deadly. They were one of the main reasons the war covered such a large geographic area, and were responsible for thousands of casualties.

Minifigure: Robot Theme: Town There have been robots in Lego City for years, but how do they get made? This is a rare look inside the robot assembly plant, retooled from its Exo-Force days. The welder attaches the back panel to the robot's head before the conveyor belt carries him to the next station. The robot is supposed to be lying on the conveyor belt.

Numbered bags in sets- yay or nay?
Sid Sidious replied to Lego Otaku's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I mix everything together just to spite the bags. I've considered adding other pieces to the pile, but decided against it because I wanted to see what the extra pieces were. -
The Town Hall will also be extremely expensive down the road. If you are trying to complete or mostly complete a modular collection, then go Fire Brigade and get the Town Hall later. I personally think the Town Hall is a better set, so if you are only planning on getting one modular, go with the Town Hall.

For the first one, activities or entertainment would be better. For the second one, just should not be there. For the third one, "Her first week in New York was exciting." would be the best. For the fourth one, "In the next few days the weather will be as perfect as it has been." is correct.

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
Sid Sidious replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
I think the synopsis would make sense if it was three pirate factions instead of two pirate factions and a stone army. The Stone Army seems pretty out there as well. It seems like it might have something to do with golems or giants or stone creatures. this would make it seem like it is based around the earth element, which is out of place for two reasons. First, Cole is already earth, and it doesn't make sense to have a good guy and bad guy share the same power. Also, elemental powers usually come in groups of four ( earth lightning fire ice, earth water fire air, etc.) so it seems out of place to have only earth. The Stone Army might refer to an army of statues, which is still out of place with pirates as the other enemies. Having zombie pirates fighting ninjas also seems like it is something some ten year old kid added to IMdB because it would be a cool show, not because it was necessarily happening. This season isn't coming out for a while, so Lego probably has the story line fairly fleshed out by now, but no one outside of Lego knows it. Leaking secret company information is a great way to get fired, and since not very many people have it, it won't be hard for the head of the show development to find out who is leaking info.- 4,591 replies

Does anyone know if the Victor, NY store is just getting regular x by y bricks in common colors when it opens, or will there be better stuff?

We've already had Dino Island, the Dino subtheme of Studios, the brick-built dino canisters, and Dino Attack/Dino 2010 as well as this Dino theme, so I think Dino already is an evergreen theme. We probably won't get a new wave next year, but we probably will get a new theme with a different name in a few years.

Does anyone know of any TRU stores that haven't marked up CM6 to $3.99 for their BOGO 50% sale? -

This is a really cool moc. I like the cheese slopes on the back of the little rhino, and the birds are pretty good too.

Monster Fighters 2012
Sid Sidious replied to Darth Nihilus's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I think that store exclusive sets don't follow the story as closely as regular sets, so there will probably be a non-moonstone item to collect, like the witch doctor's staff or something. -
The left image is a plane and the right image looks like an Insectoids style head, so the design is probably based on Insectoids.

It appears that there is blatant prejudice against the vampires. Both Mrs. Vampire and the bat people are missing a bio. -
Monster Fighters 2012

It appears that Lego has a contest on Tongal.com for someone to make Monster Fighters videos. It appears that the entire story hasn't been fleshed out yet, and this contest will determine some parts. One very interesting thing found here is the character bios. This includes the elusive zombies. Lego did go with the voodoo style zombies instead of post-apoc, virus, L4D, etc. zombies a lot of people were thinking of. One interesting bit is in the mummy bio. It looks like the actual sets might be a bit different from the Toy Fair versions. -
Monster Fighters 2012
Sid Sidious replied to Darth Nihilus's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I found a bunch of info on Monster Fighters online tonight. I found these set descriptions on BBCW.com 9461 - The Swamp Creature 9462 - The Mummy 9463 - The Werewolf 9464 - The Vampyre Hearse 9466 - The Mad Professor and His Monster 9467 - The Ghost Train 9468 - Vampire Castle There was also this description of the theme overall in the description of the two biggest sets: The zombies set is a store exclusive, so it wasn't on the website. There were also no official pics from Lego. The site has the prices available to retailers, but you have to be a retailer to see them. Can anyone do this? I also found 9465 The Zombies on mightyape.co.nz for $69.99 in New Zealand. This might be marked up from regular New Zealand ripoff prices because mightyape.co.nz would probably have to buy the sets from Lego or TRU for higher than wholesale.
