  1. If you click on the link for games, it says the GBA version is coming November 2002. I think that's kind of funny.
  2. The arms on the brown monsters in the castle look interesting. I wonder how Lego is going to put them on the minifig, seeing as they are on the same plane as the torso, not perpendicular like regular minifigs. I also wonder if the wings will be part of the arm molded on, or if they are another piece that clips on or something.
  3. The site is somewhat faster for me, but I still get the occasional page that just will not load. Before the update it seemed like every fifth or sixth page wouldn't load, now it is more like every fifteenth or twentieth.
  4. These sets have the coolest box art I have ever seen.
  5. For non-Lego stuff, I got a camera, a book, and two gift cards. The rest was Lego. I got Winter Village Post Office, Fortaan Castle, PQ battle pack, LED minifig key chain, DK Harry Potter book, and DK Lego Ideas book.
  6. I'll have to go with the Flying Mummy Attack. Cool model, great pieces, and awesome minifigs. What's not to love?
  7. Weigh them. Check Bricklink for the weight (.12 grams), then weigh the studs on a postal scale. A good way to do this is to get a small dish and zero (or tare) the scale with this dish. Make sure the postal scale is in metric. Then put the studs in the dish and weigh them. Once you have the weight of the studs divide that by the BL weight. For example, if your studs weigh 19.92g The amount of studs you have is 19.92/.12 which is 166.
  8. Probably around $120-$150, I'm guessing. That's about what I was thinking. When I saw it, it reminded me of the 4 headed dragon in Beowulf. Does anyone else think this?
  9. Does anyone have any guesses on how much the four-headed dragon will cost?
  10. I bought 10 lbs of bulk bricks on eBay once. When they came, there was a very distinctive smell of cigarette smoke in them. I dumped them in a pile on the floor to sort them, and they stayed in a kind of spread out pile for a few days. At the end of the few days, they had aired out enough that they didn't smell like smoke at all. I have a cat, and some hair gets in the bricks, but it isn't really noticeable.
  11. Sounds like a new set in the Architecture line. It sounds neat, but I wonder how they will do it with only 40 Euros of pieces.
  12. This review has totally turned me around on Friends. I liked the new colors and pieces (I'm looking at you hedgehog), but I thought the minifigs would be like Belville and wouldn't come apart.

  15. Great review of these packs. I am really looking forward to a cheap way to getting these cool minifigs. I believe that mSRP on these is $4.99, so TRU has a one dollar mark-up. If you want to know if they are Chinese or not, lack of printing on the neck also means that a minifig is made in China.
  16. Should I get 3815 Heroic Heroes of the Deep for my little sister for Christmas? She is a big Spongebob fan, but isn't really into LEGO. She has the Spongebob pineapple house, a mosaic set, and a small Belville set, but she doesn't play with them too much. Is the 3815 a good set for a non-Lego fan, or should I get something else?
  17. I love this vignette. It definitely looks better than the one I built for my winter village.
  18. Star Wars rarely goes on sale. The same thing applies to all licensed sets, but to a lesser degree than Star Wars.
  19. Tied to the track with a piece of string, with a villainous character standing to the side.
  20. Nice review of this set. When I first saw this set in the catalog, it looked nice, but a bit pricy. I'll probably wait for them to go on sale after Christmas.
  21. Great review of this awesome set. This is probably my favorite of the Dino line. It's nice that it comes with the exclusive Triceratops, but seems pretty pricy at $50. LEGO should have at least added some vegetation, since it seems kind of bare without it. Its also kind of ironic that the set with the herbivore doesn't have plants. Hopefully I'll get this set for Christmas, or when it's on sale.
