That wouldn't make the Brickshelf pictures appear.
-
Brickshelf is currently down, and most pictures here are hosted with that site. The pictures will hopefully come back up once Brickshelf returns. There's nothing you can do about it right now.

According to Brickset, I have 207 minifigs. During freshman year in high school, we made a kind of time capsule with a letter and some stuff in it that would be opened senior year. I remember I put a minifig in the envelope, but I don't remember which one, as I was just starting to pay more attention to Lego then. I think it was just a generic town minifig.

My favorites are: Flying Mummy Barracuda Warrior Alien Android Anubis Warrior Crab Warrior

That was also in the movie, so I guess it's a super Easter egg.

Maybe they could make a small set or sets that would go with the figures of each series. They could be smaller sets in the $5-$10 range that wouldn't come with the minifigure. For example, a small zoo for the CM5 zookeeper or a spaceship for the CM6 spacewoman. This way the minifigs would still be exclusive or rare, and there would still be the unique sets that wouldn't appear in other themes.

Is anyone going to be at the German Toy Fair tomorrow? Can you get some Monster Fighters pictures if you can? -
LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion
Sid Sidious replied to Piranha's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I find it kind of funny that this thread was created because people kept getting off topic in S7 thread, yet nearly this entire thread is arguments about when and why the theme will end. -
Epic dragon battle is my favorite set of the new wave. I think the dragon is awesome, and it's great that it happens to come with a bunch of cool minifigs.

I read from one of the surveys on Brickset that adults buying sets for themselves made up only 5% of sales for LEGO. This means that most of sales are bought on the behalf of children. When I was a kid, I remember that the sets were cooler than the minifigs, and I think that would still be true for this line, seeing as some sets are actually pretty good. Plus, it's not like everybody knows about the minifigs from pick a part. -

I was reading FBTB here, and the author said that the minifig parts will be available to buy outside of the sets. -

How about a horror month in the fall for the Monster Hunters theme and Halloween? -

The Roman is really popular for army building, so they are probably already snatched up in your area. -

The swamp monster on the box of the set and Toth's swamp monster look very similar (probably because they were designed by the same person), so I believe that someone posted pics of Toth's swamp monster and said it was the Monster Fighters one. If you look carefully, they have different torso prints. -

That's how probability works. There's a higher chance of getting something if it is common. -

We've already seen what appears to be finalized versions of the werewolf, vampire, and Frankenstein's monster. The ghost has a new mold, so it could be assumed to be at least mostly finalized. The same could be said for the swamp monster and bat people, although the bat people will almost definitely get printing. The mad scientist is exactly the same as the CM4 one, and the mummy and hearse driver look very preliminary, so I wouldn't be surprised if they get changed significantly. The female vampire has what appears to be new prints, but no new molds, so she is up in the air. I think Elvis hair guy, female(s), and pilot (if he or she is a different minifig from the aforementioned) are placeholders for the Fighters, since they don't have the same Antebellum gentleman/Steampunk vibe as the three we've seen from the Toy Fair. I think the style of the stuff in Toth's portfolio look's better than the prelims, so hopefully it gets changed. -

The top says AlexandreBoudonBillund2010. We all know where Lego HQ is, and 2010 seems like the right amount of time for minifigs to go from concept art to reality, especially with the CM4 minifigs. A mythology theme has been a very popular wished-for theme, so I wouldn't be surprised if these are real, and we will see it in 2013 or 2014. It's interesting to see the other monsters. They are probably minifigs that were scrapped for Monster Fighters, but it would be cool if they come in future sets. Edit: I looked at the Mythology stuff again, and it appears he did this as part of his portfolio, probably for the hiring process. -
What's the Biggest and Smallest Lego Piece of All Time?
Sid Sidious replied to JCC1004's topic in General LEGO Discussion
A lot of people have said on here (Ok, it was in 2009, but it still counts) that it would be hard to take the volume of a piece because it floats. To fix this, you could put the piece in a different, less dense, liquid in a graduated cylinder. For example, ethanol. -

I agree. I don't like how they keep doing that with Frankenstein. I guess it's supposed to make him look funny or something, but it would look better with stitches. Also, I think those are safety pins, not paper clips. -

It seems like people are divided into two groups: the group excited about the new licenses and the group excited about this theme (and Ninjago). -

Now that we have these pictures, we still need to see Elvis Hair Guy and the woman for the heroes and Dracula's wife, Mad Scientist, Swamp Monster, Ghost, Bat People, and Mummy for the monsters. -

I bet the guy on the left lost his arm from a monster, and he got his friends together to kill all of them for revenge. The guy on the right lost his leg too! I bet that monocle is to conceal the middle guy's missing eye. -

Huw at Brickset is updating the site with notes from the toy fair, but it seems like Monster Fighters will be one of the last themes he puts up there. Hopefully he got the prices. The Frankenstein look awesome, and I think it is significantly better than the CM one. I think it's great that there is the Studios/Professor Lupin werewolf, the CM4 werewolf, and this one. It adds a lot of variety to a werewolf army. I can't wait for the Germany toy fair where we will hopefully get pictures of the real sets.
