That raven looks fantastic! Great use of the new chima pieces for his wings The path also looks very good and your rockwork technique is very interesting, I don't think I've seen anyone else do it this way before. Tilting the slopes forward a bit, but not 90 degrees gives a very neat effect

Category B just got a lot harder to win... Sweet build, Torgar, you really nailed a dark atmosphere with the tower and that rockwork is lovely The olive green vines are a nice touch and I like the lattices you used for windows

Book II-Challenge I-Category C: If you don't want to align...

Cool landscape and excellent fig posing I'm a little confused though, in some spots it looks like there are tribe members fighting tribe members? The tan path looks very good here -
Thanks Penkid, I really wanted to do an octagonal base, but that makes the base a fair bit smaller than a normal rectangle or square, I think it worked well for this build Thank you, sorry about that, I'll be getting a new webhost soon and then that problem should go away. Thanks! I wanted it to feel cramped without being too crowded, I'm glad you like it. This is my fourth entry so far, but I have two more ready to post Thanks, I hadn't seen an octagonal base before so I thought it would be unique

Thanks! The octagon base was a fun change from my normal rectangles Thanks Gunman, and I definitely won't stop making interiors Thanks Gideon, and I no I hadn't thought about asking for credit for the roofs as I forgot there was a roof certification in the UoP Thanks Jodocus, I was trying to make the layout feel like a real medieval city, I'm glad you thought it did

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion

Because I had to choose which pictures to use, edit them if necessary, then make a webpage for the build on my website. It's up now though: -
This is an entry for the Medieval Town category of the Colossal Castle Contest. My younger brother, whose builds I often post in Historic Themes, helped me build this. There are three buildings in the scene: a bakery (the red building), a inn (the tan building), and a church. All the buildings have full interiors and all the doors work. I'm quite pleased with how this turned out and it will be staying together a bit longer than my builds generally do (a few days at least ). I'd like to receive UoP credit for: half-timbered Tudor style [Architecture], stained glass [General Building], and city scene [Anthropology] = 3 credits Daydelon has become a very busy town. The church in the center of town has had many new buildings spring up around it, including a bakery and inn: To see more pictures go here All C&C welcome

soccerkid6 replied to Infernum's topic in Guilds of Historica
Great texturing on the walls, I especially like the ruined one on the left The courtyard looks great and the light up window is a a really cool detail. Also as I've said before, those battlements are pretty sweet- 20 replies

I think this is one of your best builds yet, I like the windows and vines on the wall The wooden battlements are also cool and I like that you included a ladder
-
Nice start for the tower phase, I like how the tower is situated on a cliff The creepy animals add to the atmosphere as well

I took pictures of my free build today and will hopefully be posting it tomorrow -
Neat idea to do a barge rather than a cart I think your barge could be improved slightly by having a folding ramp on the back, right now it looks like the cargo could fall out rather easily

I like all the activity going on and the numerous levels Also your pictures are a bit better here. Don't feel bad if you don't have enough pieces to make large detailed MOCs, small detailed MOCs are good too -
The tree looks good and I like your flower designs The birds are an excellent touch too

I really like how you build your roof peak using plates and tiles As others have said, the helmets around the forge look great and fitting for that spot. The sand green and orangish tiles on the roof are sweet

Cool fig, that is the evil dwarve's head only with a white beard, correct? Also it's really neat to see all the builds together, it looks like you did a good job representing every guild evenly
-
I like the mix of plates and 1x1 rounds for the palisade The snow on the ground looks good too.
-
Excellent rockwork and, as one who has used short legs quite a bit, I think you did very well capturing a dynamic feel with goblins
