I love Ninjago. But honestly I think that its overwhelming success is the cause of the lack of new original themes. For Example: Chima and Nexo Knights were killed by Ninjago because they were nowhere near as popular and in turn Ninjago required their funding for more seasons. Thus Lego thought that those original themes wouldn’t do well. The diminishing amount of new original themes began around 2014. The Year when Ninjago was resurrected for Rebooted. Since then Lego original themes have been limited to one “hey let’s try something new” every two years.

Oh, same here. I was thinking of the Shadow Troopers as an Evil Rey situation. As they exist the same way in canon and in this timeline. So yeah the Shadow Troopers are the evil troopers. I was just meaning that Shattered Glass is more just inverted characters and a swapping of roles. Earth 3 is an entire alternate history. For example: Thomas Wayne kills his parents and his brother Bruce, Kal il survives the fall of Krypton not Kal El and Superwoman is Lois Lane.

Yeah. That’s why I thought of Clone Shadow Troopers. Because they are canonically an evil clone unit that served only Palpatine. Maybe the Stormtroopers would each have custom markings (like named clones) Excellent ideas though.

It was only natural. We all know that DC actually stands for Detective Chimp. Batman and Superman are merely secondary leads. Detective Chimp is the main character of the DC universe. It should happen eventually.

Good points. The truth is that DC or even Batman will never be as popular as Star Wars (as an entire franchise.) However I wouldn’t say that Disney’s completely murdered Star Wars. We still get the good piece of content every now and then (Andor my beloved). Honestly I believe the ratio for the quality of SW content at the moment is for every good piece of content get 2 bad/ mediocre pieces of content. That isn’t so bad compared to Marvel having a 90% bad content rate right now. Just out of interest: Hypothetically, If Justice League Unlimited got a revival similar to X-Men’97 would we get sets? X-Men’97 got a few sets.

I think we were expecting no JFO sets. Fives is a bit more obscure so I wouldn’t have expected him in a TCW set unlike Gree or Bly who were in the movies. Rogue One sets (10th anniversary sets please!!) I wouldn’t expect to involve Saw as there’s so many main characters to deal with already. ROTJ rebel sets are definitely the most baffling though. Maybe they only have ANH rebel sets planned? But I’m concerned as that doesn’t bode well for an A-Wing remake.

And frankly it’s our insanity (due to the lack of DC sets) that’s caused it. And it’s actually become a nice place where we can make jokes, have friendly discussions about our favourite heroes and attempt to re-educate Turtle on his views on Superman from time to time. Once again, my apologies that I offended you, and I assure you that I didn’t mean to unlock any unpleasant memories that you have. This is what I meant. Just to let people know that this has become a discussion thread for more than just a few DC sets, and that this is generally a place of fun and laughs nowadays. Not from a Jedi. Anyone else feel like that Nien Nunb, besides from Young Leia, was not exactly the best choice for an anniversary figure? He could have easily fit in any Rebel star fighter set. Cal’s excellent as Lego said they wouldn’t make any JFO sets, Fives is ok as he’s not a commander and probably wouldn’t have been made otherwise, R2 KT is good for obvious reasons, Malak was excellent as there will never be another KOTOR set and Saw is ok as he’s a bit too dark for Lego to make normally.

He’s also afraid of fire, which is understandable, but if he overcomes that fear he becomes an evil demon for some reason. Powergirl: Besides from possibly being charged with the obvious public indecency she could also be convicted of grooming Hal Jordan (Ironic) that time he lost his memories. Green Arrow: Child endangerment of his sidekick Speedy, who later became a drug addict. As a result of Speedy’s drug addiction Green Arrow then physically abused Speedy once Hal Jordan had left the area. He has also physically assaulted: Batman, Hawkman and Kyle Rayner. Nightwing: Cheated on Star-fire with Barbara Gordon and subsequently invited Barbara to his wedding on the way out, used Barbara Gordon’s disability against her in argument (when she was paralysed), broke the bro code against Batman with Catwoman, Killed all DC heroes and Villains in Nightwing New World Order, ripped out Batman’s heart and killed or turned everyone into vampires in DC vs Vampires, became a psychotic Batman in the altered time line where the Waynes were never murdered and became the Joker in another elseworld. In short he definitely lives up to his name of Dick. Anyone else have any other characters that you would like to roast?
