LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

Yeah. But the night-trooper has one problem. It’s not a clone trooper. Jokes aside I can see the NT being in one of next year’s magazines. I’m guessing that Lego doesn’t have any Acolyte sets planned. If they did they’d have slipped at least one in the large January Wave. -

“They had us in the first half, not gonna lie” It appears Lego decided to cook with the mechs this January. -
What’s the problem? Thanks. Oh. Good point. That’s the Legacy D2C. We’re so back!!!! You wouldn’t happen to know whether it will be armour Lex or business suit Lex would you? And more importantly if it’s a new superman print? Thank you so much for giving this thread hope. Now I pray to the Lego gods for a Green Lantern mech in the June wave.

Season 3: Gorilla Warfare Aqualad’s speed-force Jetski (£13.99): Aqualad, Captain Cold and a Gorilla Warrior. Batgirl’s Gorilla Buster (£19.99): Cassandra Cain, Wally West and Moniseur Mallah. Nightwing and Kyle’s speedforce motorcycles (£24.99): Kyle Rayner, Nightwing, Gorilla Prince Harambe and Mirror Master. Yara’s Speedforce Jet (£49.99): Yara Flor, Supergirl, Barry Allen, Weather Wizard, Trickster and a Gorilla Warrior. Grodd’s Titan Mecha Gorilla (£64.99): Wally West, Batman (Jetpack), Bart Allen, The Turtle, Gorilla Grodd and a Gorilla Warrior. Build also includes a banana gattling gun for Grodd. Flash Museum Defence (£74.99): Speedforce infused Wally West, Barry Allen, Nightwing, Detective Chimp, Gorilla Warrior, Reverse Flash and Inertia. Build incorporates: The cosmic treadmill, villain equipment displays, Speedforce bomb and rubble. I’m probably least familiar with Flash lore out of the big 5. So sorry if I got anything that doesn’t make sense.

4 sets huh? Please: Green Lantern Mech, Green Lantern Mech, GREEN LANTERN MECH!!!!!!! It will be Jonkler mech and another 3 Batmobiles though 😢. Yeah, in my ideal version there would be. I thought that lightweight gladiator style armour would suit the more versatile requirements for heroes like Nightwing and Wally West.
-
Thanks! Congratulations for making it to Count-hood. Just don’t join the separatists. I was thinking the Legend Armour would take inspiration from Maximus’ armour from Gladiator and Achilles’ armour in Troy but with the recognisable touches, colour accents and symbols of the heroes. Basically the Legend Armour would seem quite Roman gladiatorial whilst maintaining a vibe of Greek mythology. Wally West specifically would take inspiration from Perseus as he was able to defeat Medusa and other monsters through lightning fast attacks thanks to his specialised feet (winged sandals). And then there’s Kyle. He has Samurai Armour instead of Greek/ Roman armour because A) He has an action figure with samurai armour, B) He’s the GL that is most creative and thinks outside the box, and most importantly C) He canonically is a anime nerd. Just you guys wait until I get to the season 5 wave.

Well. Gold Lanterns exist already. So I thought it was only a matter of time. When we getting Lethargic Lilac Lanterns? season 2 takes inspiration from Greek Mythology. Amazonian Training Ground (£12.99): Legend Armour Nightwing, Artemis and a Mutated Amazon (Circe turns Amazons into monsters) Jerry the Pegasus (£24.99): Legend Armour Yara Flor, Hawkgirl, Cheetah and Legend Armour Batman. Build incorporates some stables and Jerry himself. Hydra Attack (£34.99): Legend Armour Aqualad, Legend Armour Yara Flor, Ares and a Mutated Amazon. Minotaur Siege (£44.99): Legend Armour Wally West, Legend Armour Supergirl, Wonder Woman, Mutated Hawkman (inspired by Kingdom Come), Medusa and Clay-ified Hippolyta. Build includes a Minotaur and a Amazonian gatehouse with some ramparts. Kyle’s Battle Dragon Construct (£59.99): Kyle Rayner (Samurai Armour Construct as he’s an anime nerd), Donna Troy, Legend Armour Cassandra Cain, Mutated Batman (inspired by his beast world appearance) Mutated Amazon and Circe. Build includes Dragon and Ballista. Circe’s Stronghold (£89.99): Legend Armour Yara Flor, Mutated Nightwing (Beast-world inspired), Wally West, Wonder Woman, Legend Armour Batman, Mutated Supergirl, Hercules and Wonder Woman Circe. Also includes Cerberus side-build.

Thrawn vs Krennic vibes. As in the 18+ sets and play-sets are struggling for each others funding and resources. We all know which type of set is Thrawn’s Tie Defender project in this Scenario and which is Krennic’s Stardust. Empire wouldn’t have been wiped out if they’d invested the Death Star funds into the Tie Defender. 7th Fleet Officers > Literally any other officers in imperial navy. They are just built different. Eli Vanto, Gillad Pellaeon and Karyn Faro minifigs when?!! Also. Can Lego please stop with half the Mandalorian stuff. I get it’s popular but it shouldn’t be getting a large portion of the 1HY sets in a year when it’s not even relevant. Give the animated TV shows, Andor and Ahsoka some more sets. Things they didn’t even touch on. -
Here’s season 1 sets. Yara’s Wonder-cycle (£19.99): Yara Flor, Brainiac-ified Cyborg (Vic Stone) (Inspired by the Dceased design) and a Brainiac Drone. Build is the wondercycle and a Braniac barricade + turret. Aqualad’s Atlantean Armour (£24.99): Aqualad, Supergirl, Krypto, Metallo and Braniac Drone. Build is a Mech for Aqualad. Kyle’s Fighter-Jet construct (£49.99): Kyle Rayner GL, Supergirl, Cyborg Superman, Brainiac Drone and Jetpack Batman Brainiac Battle Tank (£59.99): Cyborg, Batgirl, Wally West, Braniac-ified Batman (Injustice 2 inspired) and 2 Brainiac Drones. Lex-Corp Rumble (£69.99): Lex Luthor, Superman, Nightwing, Brainiac-ified Lois Lane, Steel, Brainiac and Parasite. Braniac’s Skull Ship (£79.99): Supergirl, Brainiac, Superman, Wally West, Brainiac-ified John Stewart GL and 2 Braniac Drones. I will give season 2 ideas sometime soon.

QT-KT is still technically R2 KT. As she was given a different name and paint job for the D-Squad Arc as Lucasfilm did not want to confuse kids with 2 different R2’s. All we know is that the set supposedly also comes with 3 Rebel Troopers and 3 Stormtroopers. But I’m not sure what to believe anymore after R2-KT was technically incorrect. Is Lego trying to Amanda Waller the leakers? As in they’re creating false information to make us distrust leakers eventually causing us to not listen to their leaks. Like Waller’s doing to superheroes in Absolute Power. -
I agree. And since you asked here’s some set ideas for the Pilot. Cat-cycle takedown (£12.99): Batman, Catwoman and Nightwing. Kyle’s Bane Busting Construct (£29.99): Green Lantern, Batgirl, Bane bigfig and Yellow Lantern Scarecrow. (Build is a Green Lantern Anime-inspired mech) Gotham Portside Ambush (£89.99): Nightwing, Aqualad, Oracle, Alfred, Killer Croc, Penguin, Two-face and Clown Henchman. Build incorporates a portside section, a small batbunker with a small bat-cycle, Boatwing and a villain gunboat. Batwing Interception (£49.99): Batman, Supergirl, Poison Ivy, Manbat and Clown Henchman. (Batwing with multiple seats and some poison Ivy plants) Jokerized Batmobile (£49.99): Joker in a jokerized batsuit, Wally West, Yara Flor, Commissioner Gordon, Clown Henchman and Harley Quin. (Build includes a GCPD barricade) I can generate some ideas for the rest of my season ideas as well. If you guys would like to see them that is.

It somehow sounds fun and boring at the same time. They could make it sell well by adding a bunch of desirable minifigs that represent each meaningful part of the franchise. Yord, Jecki, Young Vernestra Row, Eli Vanto, Armoured Obi-Wan, Senator, Jar Jar, Mon Mothma, Rebel Kallus, Jaina Solo, Mara Jade!!!!!!!, Dedra Meero, Prune Face, Merrin, Mara Jade!!!…. You get the gist. -
My pitch for this: The Sensei Wu equivalent is switched around between original members of the League every season. With the core team representing the different corners of the DC universe. My core team of up-and-coming heroes would be: Kara Zor El (Supergirl), Kyle Rayner (Green Lantern), Cassandra Cain (Batgirl), Wally West (Flash), Yara Flor (Wonder Girl), Dick Grayson (Nightwing) and Kaldur (Aqualad) Constant supporting characters: Batman as a constant mentor and Barbara Gordon (Oracle) as the P.I.X.E.L equivalent. Pilot: The team is pulled together by Batman to stop the Joker from conquering Gotham. (Nightwing is lead) Season 1: The team helps Superman in metropolis to fight Braniac’s invasion. (It is a Supergirl season) Season 2: Paradise Island has been corrupted by Circe and the team is tasked with fighting mythological monsters. (Yara Flor season) Season 3: Central City is being attacked by Gorilla Grodd and his forces. (Ending with Wally West sacrificing himself to the speed force to save the world) Season 4: Lazarus Tournament. The team are promised a way to free Wally from the speed force if they win the tournament. In this season we are introduced to: Damian Wayne, Jason Todd (Redhood), Slade Wilson (Deathstroke), Starfire, Raven and Beast Boy. (Cassandra Cain Season) Season 5: War of light. (Kyle Rayner Season) season is set in space, culminating with Kyle becoming a white Lantern and saving all life in the final battle against Nekron on earth. Season 6: Throne of Atlantis. (Kaldur season) the team must free Aquaman after Atlantis is conquered by Black Manta. Season 7: Court of The Owls. (Cassandra and Dick season) Batman is once again fatally wounded. It’s up to the team to stop the Court. Anti-life trilogy Season 8: Darkseid War Part 1. Team must prevent Darkseid and Grail from destroying all the Lantern Central Power Battery’s before the world plunges into darkness. Season 9: Darkseid War Part 2. Apocalyptic theming. (Batman season) Half the team is stuck in various time periods. Season 10: Rise of the Anti-monitor. The team all get Lantern Rings to aid in their fight. Culminates with Kyle merging with the Life Equation to defeat Nekron once and for all, sacrificing himself permanently in the process. Batman also sacrifices himself to save Dick. Dick becomes new Batman. Wally becomes the God of Knowledge in the aftermath. Kara and Yara go on a mission to patrol the universe. Thoughts? And I have a few set ideas if you’d like to hear them.

I’m so happy about all the cool DC sets we got this year. Not as diverse as last year though. My favourite set this year has been the Hall of Justice Modular. Those Parallax, Kyle Rayner, Circe, Rorsarch, Ultraman and Wally West figs were perfect. It was weird that we didn’t get any Batman figures this year though. The last Batman character we got was the Earth 2 Bats in that character encyclopaedia from 2 years ago. Very strange that Lego refuses to add him in any of Robin’s sets. What are your favourite sets this year? Such a shame that Marvel’s only had 6 sets.

Heresy! Uj/ What exactly about Andor did you not like? The compelling characters? The well written dialogue? How grounded it feels? The lack of cameos? Don’t tell me that you agree with Star Wars Theory on why Andor is “bad”. Did you even finish the series? Or are you just trolling? Although, I’ll give you The Book of Boba Fett being a disgrace to Boba’s legacy. What’s the probability of Andor S2 sets next year? -

Starship Collection: “I thought you were dead” Helmet Collection: “My death was greatly exaggerated.” But wait. If buildable characters, helmets and MIDI scale are all continuing… that probably means… Oh Kriff! The nerf-herders have cancelled the dioramas haven’t they?!!! All I wanted was an Executor bridge diorama. Was that too much to ask!!! -
Lego please, Green Lantern Mech and my life is yours. Either Guy, Kyle or an Updated Hal. (Comic Accurate suits of course) Bold of you to assume that they’d make a new Robin. Weird how he’s been completely avoided over the last few years. Especially in sets where he could have fit in instead of other clown characters. This year he could have been swapped out with Harley in one of the BTAS sets so Harley would be exclusive to one and Robin to the other. But no.

Begging like a turtle? But yeah, I love clones. But too many of the faction sets are being allocated to them right now. It has taken this over abundance of clones for me to realise that my loyalty primarily lies with the empire. Clones are second. There will inevitably soon be a new imperial and rebel golden age. And I will no longer be a major supporter of the Republic. -

Ah. But it could theoretically scale with this summer’s ISD. Time to assemble the imperial supply fleet! Amen to that my fellow inmate of the Aslume. We really need some planetary occupation Imperial stuff such as the Bunker. And a stormtrooper or army trooper battlepack so we can amass a garrison that we can deploy if we are blind. I second this question. Could you please answer if possible Foggy? You don’t need to tell us any exact details. Anyone else hope that the ARC-170 is based off of the Battle of Kamino. (Probably where I most remember it from aside from the battle of Coruscant) That way we could get any of: General Kenobi, General Skywalker, Shak Ti, Echo, Rex, Cody, Broadside P1 Clone pilots and most importantly 99 (press F to pay respects to the one true Clone Commando) -

I wake up to find this?! The lack of a battlepack is a tragedy. But on the bright side we have a larger January wave. (With no cheaper sets🤬🤬🤬) This little war we’ve been having over whether the next Battlepack should be Night-Troopers or Stormtroopers unfortunately ended in mutual destruction. Ahsoka’s ETA-2 is interesting, especially in a year where it’s a major anniversary of Hopefully we get a named member of the 501st (Jesse or Kix!) or TCW Anakin in that set to make the price more worth it. General Kenobi would make me instantly buy it. ARC-170 is easily my most anticipated set. I’m going to guess: Oddball, Clone Pilot, a Jedi and maybe a Clone Trooper (5th Fleet Security I beg) The fact that we’re having 2 Republic Starfighters in one wave is something that I don’t think has happened since 2015. I like that this basically completes the requirements for a republic army. We’ve now got Clone Starfighters, Jedi Starfighters, Gunship, AT TE and Speeders. The Clones have now maxed out the amount of equipment they could possibly have on shelves at one time. And yet the Clone Bros will still demand more. Hopefully. The lack of a battlepack is kinda dampening my hype compared to to previous January waves. Midi Home one is very intriguing. Can’t wait to find out the Fig-lists and what the other sets are. @Mandalorianknight Yeah, Lego’s really pushing it this wave. There’s one thing that I can notice with this wave. There’s a significant lack of Empire and Ground Force stuff. Thank you for the info @FoggyFate, you wouldn’t happen to know whether we are getting a battlepack or any imperial stuff next year at all would you? -

“I want more, and I know I shouldn’t.” You can either have a Night Trooper BP or a Patrol Gunship. A patrol gunship is probably our best chance at getting JFO trooper variants. Which one will it be? Meanwhile: Ahsoka and Mandalorian already getting all the TV show sets whilst Andor is left with an overpriced gunship.
