Very well. I think that the sets this year are quite good overall. Very well designed in my opinion. My one issue is that they’re limited to just Batman and his villains. However I’m most likely not going to get any DC sets this year since I’m prioritising Star Wars because of the great stuff that’s coming out for the 25th Anniversary. If I do get a DC set this year it will probably be the Batman Mech since it’s overall an excellent mech design. (However the one downside was the lack of effort on the Batman figure) Hopefully next year brings more mechs from wider corners of the DC universe. (C’mon Green Lantern Mech!!!)

I do think that @Lego Nostalgia does drive a relatively valid argument. After the failure of shows like Book of Boba Fett, Andor (unfortunately) and most notably Indy 5. Lucasfilm can’t be trusted to produce smash hits on a regular basis anymore. The acolyte is the first show that doesn’t revolve around a legacy character that general audiences would know. Hence it comes with the risk of not that many people watching it in the first place, therefore making the general consumer less inclined to buy sets based off the Acolyte. So I understand Lego’s decision to not make sets off Acolyte, for now at least. Especially after the fan back-lash of shows revolving around more popular characters such as Kenobi and TBOBF. Which translated into poor sales. What I’m more concerned about with the Acolyte is that it has the potential to irreversibly damage the established canon. Especially seeing that much of the cast don’t seem to be well versed in knowledge of the universe they’re expanding on. (“Anakin blew up the Death Star,” “There is no good or evil in Star Wars.”) I have no doubt that Disney would try to retcon the Chosen One prophecy so that it would fit a more diverse individual (Cough-Rey-Cough) when the opportunity presents itself. And if @Something_Awesome’s statements are anything to go by, I frankly don’t have much hope. But I digress. Back to Lego discussion. Totally agree. They should bring back the two BP’s in a January wave format! They should just merge the March and January waves, move the Starship collection to May, the May play-sets to January and the June Play-sets to May. I just don’t see the point of releasing two separate waves a month apart from each other. The August wave, advent calendar and October UCS can just stay as they are. Did the Angry Birds movie really do that badly? I liked it. It can’t have done too badly as it got a sequel. Lightyear I really liked so it was unfortunate that it flopped. I really hope that, if there is one, it drops soon. I need to know what other characters are going to have inverted affiliations. Grand Admiral Ackbar? Darth Kenobi? Grand Moff Leia? -
I totally agree with this statement. When I have kids I’m going to make it my personal duty to indoctrinate them into Star Wars as soon as they can understand it. We as current fans have a duty to ensure that the fanbase survives into the next generation. But for now there are thankfully still many kids who are into Star Wars thanks to the first 2 seasons of The Mandalorian, Clone Wars and Bad Batch. What LOTR show are you talking about? There is no LOTR on Amazon Prime. Only a mediocre fan fiction. (TBH jokes aside ROP had some excellent music) Firstly, how the Jar Jar Binks did you watch the first four episodes? Secondly, is it really that bad?! I had my worries after some of the Star Wars Celebration interviews with the cast last year. (The guy who said there’s no good or evil in Star Wars specifically) And I am heavily concerned on whether they’ll try and alter the Chosen One prophecy so that it wasn’t actually Anakin. Was it at least entertaining? Please tell me without spoilers.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours

I know it’s frustrating. As a Green Lantern fan I find it upsetting that there haven’t been any Guy Gardner and Kyle Rayner figures. If lego did make a DC CMF 2 it would have its best chance at being next year because Superman will be the most notable Superhero film being released. And it’s supposed to kickstart a wider DC cinematic universe. -
Not complaining either. I was satirically mocking this most excellent set for fun. I know. But is there a lore reason for, if they are power dampeners, why the cuffs aren’t as technologically advanced as all their other iterations? Touché . Oh my. It’s occurred to me that Batman probably stole all their plot armour and is saving the Titans because he feels bad!! Plot twist. We’ve potentially been fooled, bamboozled, confounded. It’s actually Tim Drake. On a related note. It’s an absolute travesty that we have never received a proper version of Raven to go with the Titans figures we already have. Even more scandalous in my book is that despite all the Wonder Woman and Flash figures we have never had any Wonder Girl or Kid Flash to go with them. If DC CMF 2 actually happens I’d severely hope for a Donna Troy and Wally West. Or even Wallace West and Cassie Sandsmark. (Though I’d hope for Kyle Rayner more.)

Muppets Treasure Island variants? Captain Smollet Kermit would be fantastic. As for Lonney Toons I think some character variants could also be done. For example: Bugs Bunny’s Super Rabbit and Daffy Duck’s Green Loontern. -
Yeah. Damian is a brat. But I think I speak for everyone when I say that we all like Dick. Bat-fam rankings. 1) Alfred -no survivors- Pennyworth 2) Bruce Wayne 3) Dick Grayson 4) Barbara Gordon 5) Tim Drake 6) Cassandra Cain 7) Damian- The Brat- Wayne 8) Jason -the Thug- Todd 9) Stephanie Brown 10) Duke Thomas

I would say those are reasonably likely. But the character roster appears to be quite a large one. So I wouldn’t be surprised if they just did a Vector with Master Sol, the Sith Lord, Mae and another Jedi. Of course I hope that the lack of Acolyte sets this year won’t impact on the amount of movie sets next year. I need a goddam stormtrooper BP. -

It’s outrageous. It’s unfair. How can LSW be one of the most popular themes and not be granted the rank of a August Wave reveal. You ok mate? That’s a weird way to spell Jonkler. -
No Dick is the first Robin. Damian is the forth. Damian is not a Dick. Dick Grayson: Taught Batman how to start acting like a father figure and to lighten up sometimes. Jason Todd: Taught Batman that maybe making random orphans Robin isn’t the wisest decision. (Too late as Bruce Wayne sponsors all of Gotham’s Robin Barracks… sorry I mean orphanages) Tim Drake: Taught Batman to move on from his fears of losing another Robin, the need to hide his identity better and the importance of trust and teamwork. Damian Wayne: Taught Batman that Ninja Swords go brrrrrrr. One of the redeeming qualities of the current Batman run is that it shows Tim to be the smart, helpful and sympathetic Robin. Whilst Damian immediately joins forces with the robot imposter Batman because he finally starts agreeing with Damian’s more extremist ideas. Jokes aside, like @Mandalorianknight, I don’t hate Damian. He’s just not the best Robin IMO. Chima referenced!!! 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️ Thanks to the new season of Ninjago: “Somehow Chima returned.” I’m sorry that it wasn’t Bionicle that was resurrected. But maybe they’re next. And then Nexo Knights.

Well yes and no. I’m not sure whether you’ve studied history… But basically think of the premise of this film as loosely inspired by the CIA’s numerous attempts to overthrow Castro’s Communist regime in Cuba during the Cold War. For example: The Bay of Pigs Fiasco. Essentially there’s this US government program called Task Force X where the government uses the supervillains they have locked up in prisons (The titular suicide squad) to do their dirty work. Such as overthrowing legitimate but anti-American governments. Or retrieving/ destroying incriminating evidence of American activities that wouldn’t make the US look good on the world stage. Which is the premise of the film. In short the Suicide Squad is a super powered commando team that’s been sent to remove threats to US national security in a foreign country that has recently had an anti-American revolution.

Same here. But primarily Green Lantern characters for me. -
I think that it’s one of the better out of recent DC films. There are good emotional tones. The story is fun. And I liked the 1984 reference even though it was disturbing. King shark is easily one of the funniest parts. (I still can’t believe it’s the same actor as Rocky) Be warned it is very violent and gruesome though. Overall I highly recommend it if you want to try some of the better non-Batman DC films.
