Another CCCV standard MOC... People in medieval times crushed beetles to extract cochineal, a red substance used for dying cloth Sheepomaphone
-
Thanks! I'm surprised you like the toilet paper so much I see.
-
Wow! I would recommend for drumsticks to not use the whole gearstick, but instead either crimp the round bit that slots into the base until it fits a minifig hand or to buy the rarer ones whose end piece is already minifig compatible Oh noes...

Just a friendly reminder that it is halfway through the month and only one person has entered Pfft, nope

Eeto...no...too...off. On another note, you were a major inspiration, falling on your head 'n all

I thinks I found them// Front cover// -
What's the matter with your face? Nah, see the fronpage news management - it's why I'm off a bit... Technic chains that link gears, not the treads... TFOL, buddy

B-V-6F Hey all I've just had a spat of builder's block, so I'm not quite on form And I'm going slightly mad... Oh, and I intend to use the chain technique (either spiral or in rings) for a hut roof. However, I only have 81 and would need about 400 more

All pre-assembled parts count as one piece, so turntables count as one piece. Other examples include horses, cannons and 1x2 hinge bricks. Although they can be dismantled, they come as one piece, so count as one.

A great find! I love that hamster wheel! Wonder if it works I wholeheartedly agree; I think that this is one of the major problems with many Pirate MOCs - they go large to impress, resulting in large expanses of nothingness... Yes, they should.

It comes from Yiddish; basically it means food. However, as far as I am aware, today it is rarely used by commonfolk; it's something that the Queen would say - "slap-up nosh". Illywhacker!

It is based around a 1x2 tile with one stud stuck to the middle of the bottom of a 1x3 plate. The plate has the clip for the head on it and the 1x2 and 1x1 tiles. An old skeleton arm provides a tail, attached to the bottom of the rear stud of the 1x3 plate. Each leg consists of an old skeleton arm lodged onto a 2x2 dish. A gear stuck running through a 1x1 cone and into the arm ball socket makes the lower leg. Two of the studs on each 2x2 dish wedge over the corner of the jumper plate. Repeat four times, and the head is straightforward. I don't think that made sense

You eat mushroom cheese in Holland? You're not a vegetable are you?

Thanks Mebbe. I deliberately oversized this sheep for the effect
-
Yes, I would have used Indy if I had him, but Sam will do fine. And yes, you guessed it, this is to show off the sheep Credit goes to MicahBerger for leg technique NB. Please no Johnny Thunder. His name is Sam Grant. NBNB. My first Adventurers MOC on BS?

I think he means that minifigs can't hold onto the string, and also that all grappling hook parts are attached to reels. To solve this, just use a small blob of bluetack on the inside of their hand when they're holding the string. Or, if you're using the thick stern to prow string, tie a knot. I'm not sure what the spider's web was about

Buying Pirate LEGO - where to buy, advice, tips and questions
SlyOwl replied to Mr. Smee's topic in LEGO Pirates
I find that buying large Pirate ships is well worth it. Both my BSB and SES came with double their official crew - it's because they're being sold by parents who can't be bothered to make up the smaller sets, so bung them all into the largest one So I got 40 Pirates for the price of 20 But large ebay lots work better than small ones...- 502 replies

Thanks! You don't want to know how the French do it! Cheesemaphone: See the Pirate set review schedule Light blue plates: Firstly, I'm colour-blind, so get them mixed up with teal, but also as a little more texturing/colouring to break up the floor I got this last time too

Hey all My contribution to Castle Month? I've updated Cheddar Gorge, still in CCC specifications! This is just to see how the Castle community receive this... But now it's cow milk! And modular! Milking: When rennet, an enzyme from a cow's stomach, is added to milk, cheese is made! Then it has to be tasted! And the thumbnail for the entry folder: Yes, imperialshadows, your resident murderer is back

I only said please be prepared to fulfill the requirements and don't be upset if you're not chosen And entered! They got chosen by PMing me their applications after reading the announcement thread. If you missed it then, you're too late And SW doesn't count as it's a licensed theme (and sci-fi), so it doesn't reflect the builder's full imagination

Also, there are two "this" in the Telessel's description, and the "is a" before Xebec shouldn't be bold When?
-
No, the large grey one is 48x48. The area you are allowed to use is 1500 square studs, which is a 32x32 plate and a 32x16 plate stuck together, or a 32x48 plate (castle CRAPPs). However, if you do not have these plates, you may use a 48x48, as long as it only covers a depth of 32 studs.

Oh please, UB is delaying every contest; he'll be delaying the end of the Castle Month Caption Competition next!

To confirm: SylOwl's real name is not Craig. Only SN, Vincent and anyone extremely snoopy know my real name I'd have loved to have built this, but I have nowhere near enough tan or red slopes I'd have liked a few more shorter braids coming out the bottom of the hat though... And the BS
