Great! Apart from that you spelt my name wrong... You're probably not on the mailing list...

Has anyone tried shaving off the flared part of the TLC musket? If no-one has, I might try it tomorrow...

Firstly, don't worry too much; you can make up for a bad MOC with another good one I only received 5 applicants, so you got in by default, as did the rest

Stone Goblin has recently used this too, in his Funhouse Mirror vignette: ...

Here? Edit: Oh, now I see you've already been here... Yet you ordered just 1? But it seems like you're in a bit of a pickle, as it apparantly doesn't feature in a single set... -
Nice, but would have been better without the customization; as Michael showed, Scala bows and flowers work, but they're harder to find. That was quite an introduction Just remember that yours featured on the Brothers' Brick As for "technique ownership", it's best not to claim a technique as your own (e.g. I could claim that I created the stud and tube technique ). However, if it's a previously unseen technique, I think that it's OK up until the point that someone proves they used it first, for example my thatched roof technique, and wizard's hat water pouring.

The following have been selected to participate in the EB MOC Triathlon! -Willhelm Screamer -Exobuilder -SirNadroj -Ricecracker -VBBN I have sent them this message, detailing their first task: Rules This thread is for discussion; I will edit the entries into my first post. And the entries... Sir Nadroj: Peruvian River of Blood Join our team of explorers as the drift down Peru's most famous river, the "River of Blood", named because of the odd, red coloured water, blamed on the hundreds of years of sacrifices performed there. Startled, the adventurers relize they're about to go right over the falls, and disrupt a sacrifice! But the angry tribesmen are the least of their problems. Watch out for the llama! ExoBuilder: Wild West House Hello! I took a step out of my comfort zone to venture into the Wild West theme. I have zero experience in this so I'll let you guys be the judges, please tell me what you think. I got some help from TheBrickster on some of this, thanks Mam'! Onto the creation: I went for a color scheme I've always liked, old grey and tan. Here's the front of the house. I wanted it to look old, hence the roof looking all tattered. The interior is kinda bleak, I couldn't fit much into this. I put the necessities in it; Food, drinks, a bed and a table. This is the kind of house where you wouldn't be staying too long, sorta like a motel. The back, not too much to talk about here, it's just the back ~VBBN~: Roman Cathedral N.B. This is not complete - he ran out of time ricecracker: North Pole Expedition In the year of 1870, a group of 10 explorers and geographical experts set out for the north pole. They knew it would be dangerous, but not quite as much as it had been, they had already lost 7 members of the trip. As the last three were on the last trek to the pole, everything had been going smoothly. But in the middle of the trip, while they were in a valley of ice, they came across one last danger; open water AND a polar bear that were blocking their path. They sled musher was trying to get the dogs calm while his wife got out the rifle to kill the bear. The third and final trekker, who was killed in mountain climbing, tried to find a way around it, and just in case he made it all the way, he had a flag to place in the snow. The whole scene: Without the figs Just the figs (and animals) Wilhelm Screamer: Crown Knight Battle The Knights of the Kingdom of the Crown never really could catch a break.

I just use my normal camera to take photos and then import them into Jasc Animation Shop, each as a single frame. I have used the stop-motion software that came with Vision Command (it's cheaper than Movie Maker) but the camera was poor...

Both sides of the cabin are identical. You should be able to see them from the main box/instruction picture, but here's a (bad) one of the inside: But that's all for now...

It goes on the very top of the back of the stern:

Armada Sentry (1996) is the smallest of the Armada sets and so the cheapest way to get a minifig. It is basically what the title says - a sentry post that could be stationed at the entrance to a harbour, but never very far from land - the poor chap has only got a rowing boat! It consists of a small, open-backed hut, with doors at the front that lead out onto the sea, with a small dock and ladder to access the lookout post with a small crane for moving supplies and treasure about. The sentry and accessories - some treasure and weapons, although a cup would've been a nice touch. If this were released today, some food would be a must. The Spaniard is the Armada equivalent of an Imperial Grunt, although he is far less elaborate than his counterparts. Although he is actually smiling, his moustache and eyebrows give him rather an angry expression :-( . I do find that the Morion helmet falls off rather easily, but I may have damaged it. The front of the outpost - a torch to the left of the doors and a flag to the right - nothing too special here. The crane works by manually raising and lowering the hinged bar, with the string sliding through the teeth. This works well and can easily lower the barrel into the boat. The string is a nice piece, although mine is a replacement - mine broke within a month or two of receiving it - the stud on the end came unglued; quality problems? Maybe I was just too violent. The back - the open back was disappointing, although as he will be staying the night on land, it doesn't matter too much. I find the doors opening onto the sea strange - maybe to step into the boat or unhook the crane, but it looks a bit off, IMHO. You can see the ladder for him to climb up to the lookout post, which is unarmed on the back - it's understandable on the side with the ladder (ease of access), but the back? A few bricks can easily plug this hole. The structure from the dock-side, with the crane in the up position. Nothing special here... From the other side now, with the crane in the down position - it looks like the crane is designed to load barrels off a boat and through the doors and vice versa. There are two clips to hold the weapons, which are sufficient for the Spaniard. The grey bricks work well with the white, giving a look of worn plastered stone. It also hints slightly of the older Imperial sets... The rowing boat, as standard. The green benches compliment the doors and fancy battlements well, although because of this, a green and red flag would look better than the yellow and red. Overall, this is a nice cheap set that functions well and is a good parts pack for kids, although AFOLs won't really appreciate it as it doesn't have that many special parts. I wouldn't buy one nowadays as it just isn't really worth it anymore. A great set for beginners, pocket-money and early collection-building. 8.5/10 from me.

Yeeps, there seem to be a lot of polls getting bumped without any new content... I was lucky enough to see these at the time, and they looked great! Sort of a Legoalnd picture-tour... -
I'd suggest Enchanted Island; if you shop around for a while, you'll find one at $20, maybe a little over. I take it the $20 doesn't include postage?

Try resizing them to around 800x600, which is around 60k. If you're desperate, Paint will do, but other programs, such as IrfanView and image editing programs will work better

Which leaves me with 4 contestants so far, so there is one guaranteed place left, but then things will get ugly As for prizes, I'll arrange a little BL something for the winner...

I posted this before in your "What weapons do you want?" thread: But they used minfig hands, which are cheaper and more common (more colours too)... But I guess the whole concept will get more publicity here; maybe we'll even see an army with bayonets And is there really need for 2 practically identical topics?

Would melting them together work? 3-way clip? I've seen this before: But they used minfig hands, which are cheaper and more common (more colours too)...

It was first introduced in the SW Ep II line, and acts as a ball joint; it is the socket part, which 2 hemispheres pop into: I hope to use the hemispheres as a bowl someday
