  1. Voting begins... Rules And remember the points allocation: --1st place -> 6 points --2nd place -> 4 points --3rd place -> 3 points --4th place -> 2 points --5th place -> 1 point And the entries... (please look at all before voting ) Sir Nadroj: Peruvian River of Blood Join our team of explorers as the drift down Peru's most famous river, the "River of Blood", named because of the odd, red coloured water, blamed on the hundreds of years of sacrifices performed there. Startled, the adventurers realise they're about to go right over the falls, and disrupt a sacrifice! But the angry tribesmen are the least of their problems. Watch out for the llama! ExoBuilder: Wild West House Hello! I took a step out of my comfort zone to venture into the Wild West theme. I have zero experience in this so I'll let you guys be the judges, please tell me what you think. I got some help from TheBrickster on some of this, thanks Mam'! Onto the creation: I went for a color scheme I've always liked, old grey and tan. Here's the front of the house. I wanted it to look old, hence the roof looking all tattered. The interior is kinda bleak, I couldn't fit much into this. I put the necessities in it; Food, drinks, a bed and a table. This is the kind of house where you wouldn't be staying too long, sorta like a motel. The back, not too much to talk about here, it's just the back ~VBBN~: Roman Cathedral N.B. This is not complete - he ran out of time ricecracker: North Pole Expedition In the year of 1870, a group of 10 explorers and geographical experts set out for the north pole. They knew it would be dangerous, but not quite as much as it had been, they had already lost 7 members of the trip. As the last three were on the last trek to the pole, everything had been going smoothly. But in the middle of the trip, while they were in a valley of ice, they came across one last danger; open water AND a polar bear that were blocking their path. They sled musher was trying to get the dogs calm while his wife got out the rifle to kill the bear. The third and final trekker, who was killed in mountain climbing, tried to find a way around it, and just in case he made it all the way, he had a flag to place in the snow. The whole scene: Without the figs Just the figs (and animals) Wilhelm Screamer: Crown Knight Battle The Knights of the Kingdom of the Crown never really could catch a break. And I have sent all the contestants the following PM: Rules So far I've got entries from... SirNadroj ricecracker ~VBBN~ Wilhelm Screamer Oops, I spelt triathlon wrong again...
  2. It seems just about everyone has an uncanny desire to kill Jar-Jar!
  3. Great idea! I'll see what I can do with a guillotine... As for the contest, you can't run them without the permission of the admins, but you can submit your ideas here
  4. Put it on a fleshie head!
  5. OK, today is the last day for Willhlem Screamer to get in his entry. If I don't have it by tomorrow, he is disqualified. I am currently removing one vote for each day over the deadline that you go, so don't do it again! Voting starts tomorrow.
  6. I do not understand you
  7. Ye Olde Thanks Clearly King Arthur hasn't spread to America... Generally not - in the second picture you can see that it is removed to let in light. Floors are often connected as they don't need to be removed, but it is quite hard to connect from SNOT to SOT... Yup, I do think this suffered from BGWS (as it were), but the trouble with windows is that I like to have the black frames running around it, which means the window must be 2 or 5 studs wide... I'll bear it in mind Nothing fancy, just a zigzag technique...
  8. As for insulting, by "good luck with that", I was referring to the fact that Vassals can't delete or close threads, so no offence intended And we'll believe you once you've got the army, but we've given you all the sites we know, so it's natural to be sceptical when someone claims to be willing to spend that much money. I guess my phrasing wasn't perfect Perhaps you could provide us with your Bricklink username to confirm...
  9. Good luck with that. Buy your army and then display it here, but this thread really isn't achieving much. If not, we will all assume that you haven't got $350,000 to spend on Lego.
  10. CCCV standard MOC. Gunpowder is made from: -Saltpetre, from dung -Charcoal, by burning wood without oxygen -Sulphur, from volcanoes Which is then ground, pressurised and tumbled. Wedgie! I used this piece - legal move? Milling and pressurising machines. Radioactivity ahead of its time. Charcoal and gunpowder storage. Accidents (support edited out, sorry for wonky flame), buying sulphur from miners and more dung. Note spades.
  11. That's great for a first attempt! However, I would recommend: -A net on the back part between the top of the tank and the wheel things - it's too blank -Redo those side guns to make them squatter and more perpendicular -This doesn't have an interior, right? The SNOT gaps could be easiliy confined to the middle where you can't see them...
  12. You could try silicon molding the sculpey head. I'm not entirely sure about how it works, but it works along the lines of puring stuff around the head to create a mold, and then pouring silicon in and casting it... Nope, it's too expensive to make a new mold for one part and it would need designing e.t.c...
  13. How does the emperor look with a kepi? Modded Adventurers set Nope, Bonaparte built a wall across where the mummy can escape from and sold the coffin to ye olde Britishe Museum And what happened to your name? Phe$ - that'll confuzzle people...
  14. Bricklink, or eBay (bottom of this page) are good places to get these. Look around here to see other peoples' armies for inspiration. We've also got an extensive index of cannons e.t.c...
  15. Great! It kind of reminds me of a castle on wheels in a really cheesy Robin Hood film... I'm liking the drawbridge too, although it would be great if it would flip up to reveal a battering ram Try taking the photos in front of that white wall in the background - reduces clutter Did you try to use those arches above the wheels as wheel-arches? I'd suggest moving them down a little and getting them fully in line, but it's ingenious nonetheless! Yay for owls!
  16. I'm not sure what you mean - do you have inside information? You've got some superb MOCs in your BS - would you consider sharing them here? Here's a taster for Phes -
  17. I've got a funny feeling that we'll be seeing the first glimpses of elves towards the end of this year, as we saw glipmpses of dwarves and trolls towards the end of last...
  18. What kind of help do you require? Actual physical help, Lego building help, or filming help? Brickfilms may be a good start - it has a range of tutorials e.t.c...
  19. Thanks! Yep, but I would have thought more people look at the full size one if there is only a thumbnail...
  20. Congratulations to Ton Fatty and Jaudeau! But I don't know if I can order that door yet... Photo comparisons please.
  21. Dio. 9-D PvI-1 PvI-2 PvI-3: Retaliation... Full size is much recommended
  22. It does seem to be a general trend that although Lego no longer produces Pirates, they are still a flagship ( ) theme, in that Pirate faces are used as smilies on Lego.com forums, they influence rides and large figures at Legoland parks, and are still used on merchandise and in magazines. Redbeard in particular. We'll get onto that later...
  23. I've had my mind on something like this for some time now. Working together to design sets. The latest contest could be a great starting point: already themes are emerging, like Pirate vs. Ninja, and UCS (imagine a cafe-corner style Pirate waterfront pub )... I'd be willing to join in. It just needs serious organisation (Step 1: Choose factions, Step 2: Outline sets + features e.t.c)...
  24. Thankee! Jungle Cave Race... And I put this in History as I thought that it was an Adventurers MOC to a large extent, just with a few cave racers thrown in
