  1. Maybe I can help explain the joke: Notice how on top of the Arkham set they use sai for some of the decorations on the rooftops? They mistook the sai with Psy (The Gangnam Style guy), hence why Psy is on the roof dancing.
  2. I saw LotR funnies and such in the other thread, and LotR/Hobbit is a license, but also historic. I guess I used my best judgement here, since IDK if there's a historic pic thread or not. I think it'd fit here better. IDK, just my opinion.
  3. I got the set for around $40 and for the price, I liked it. Sure the pyramid on the inside is rather blah, but it was built as a playset. On the outside, though, it's a marvel IMO. Maybe I'm playing devil's advocate here, but I found the build to be enjoyable, if a little tedious. Best part of the set is easily the minifigs, especially the Anubis and Amset figures.
  4. Excellent work! Pretty clever use of the flick-fire as the joystick, and the claw design is spot on. I agree though, Woody should have been here too, but if you didn't have the figure, that's understandable. Beautiful job regardless.
  5. My apologies for the double post, but I have a couple of new pics: BTW, this one was made to look like an old photo, so if it doesn't look up to snuff, that's why.
  6. Got another shot for you guys:
  7. Finally, a new licensed funny from me. If you're familiar with the Safety Dance music video, this one will make you have a grin as cheesy as the song I'm referencing.
  8. My pick of the litter here is the Hive Crawler. Just the size and look of the crawler is amazing, plus according to some videos I've seen its legs move when it rolls on the ground. The Mech looks stunning as well. Oh my, my wallet is crying between this and the Lord of the Rings sets. Granted, the only GS set I have is the Swarm Interceptor, and from that set alone I fell in love with this theme.
  9. Probably one of the first non-funny Lego pics I've done:
  10. Well first of all, thank you for the compliment! I love making these funnies and I love sharing them with you guys. Anyway, it's a visual pun. Pirate radio is essentially supposed to be an unlicensed radio station (It's on the airwaves, but not an official radio station). I hope I cleared the air a little bit, buddy. :3
  11. I meant the first one I didn't get. The second one I did get. Sorry for the confusion.
  12. Excellent as always, Oky! The second one made me laugh a bit more than the first (Mainly because I don't quite get it). Anyway, a new one from me: Pirate radio!
  13. Nah, you're cool. I'm sure any other pith helmet will work.
  14. About time we got another Indy funnie. Probably my favorite of the bunch, and I guess Indy Sr. lost his Panama hat, eh?
  15. I'm getting a bit of a Dante's Inferno vibe with this, but I love it. The landscaping is sublime as are the vultures.
  16. I'll be honest, this theme looks interesting, but only a couple of sets this wave catch my eye (The pack tracker and Rascal's scout vehicle). I'm not sure why, the other sets have creative designs for the animal motifs (The different ways they incorporate an animal head similar to the Ninjago skeleton and snake vehicles) and the minifigs are detailed. I think it's how I'm saving my cash for some of the sets later on in the year (Lone Ranger, LotR, Galaxy Squad)
  17. Yes, the Friends hairpieces are compatible with regular minifigs and vice versa. I'm glad they're implementing this feature with the normal minifigs instead of being a Friends exclusive feature, if Tonto and Red are any indication. But I guess the reason why they put Ranger and Tonto in almost every set is because, well, let's say you're a kid and you can't get every set, but you at least want to get the good guys, so even in the second cheapest set you can get the heroes. Plus there are some variants on printing (Like the dirty Ranger in the Silver Mines set), but a situation more fitting to AFOLs would be stocking up on the hats/guns/hairpieces and heads (I think someone here said that Tonto's head would make for a great black metal minifig face).
  18. Okay, this had me in stitches, especially the men's expressions (Particularly the Frank Rock head). Great work, and I too thought of The Full Monty.
  19. Very sleek design. Not very clunky at all, and I love the boosters, even if they look a little small (But otherwise they'd look jumbo and throw off the model completely)
  20. Well, I know what my "Gotta catch 'em all" theme is this year. That train is gorgeous, the stagecoach is a steal at only $30, even the cavalry set is a must buy, though it seems we'll be having a lot of Tontos and Lone Rangers to spare, as is typical with these themes, but at least some of them have alternate expressions (One of the Lone Rangers I thought I saw had a smirk or a grimace). I have to say, though, my favorite minifig so far is the woman in the stagecoach set. I'm not sure what her name is (If anyone knows, please tell me), but the printing is beautiful and her hairpiece is great (And even the little hat's removable).
  21. Oh no harm done, my friend. Just giving credit where credit's due. I have a few more on the way, but priorities demand my attention first.
  22. IDK, I think everyone who contributed in this thread so far has done a sterling job, Oky included. We had the Chima pet, Tequila, the treasure hunters support group, etc.
  23. Glad you liked the latest funny, man. Your lot is pretty funny as well. Never thought that dino hunter fig resembled Chuck Norris (Although that Obi Wan minifig...)
  24. ^Ah, my apologies. And Penkid, excellent job! Even as a MOC, that's pretty stunning, but hilarious.
  25. I hate explaining jokes, but I think that one might need some clarification: A lot of Lego's action themes involve collecting a multitude of MacGruffins for some arbitrary reason (Monster Fighters moonstones powering a device to block the sun, Atlantis treasure keys to open the portal to Atlantis, the several MacGruffins Ninjago used like the snake staffs, fang blades, golden weapons, etc.) I tried making it look like an AA meeting with your generic counselor and such.
