  1. Does faction mean that have own unique LOGO? Because Classic Space logo is actually used in LEGO CITY/Space sets (2022) and next year (2024). That means that Classic Space are humans in different period of time. Next year they are far a way in future. Also we are getting some amazing classic factions. I am a fan of Blacktron 2... BUT I like also as much this planet + spaceship faction. Galaxy Explorer is amazing set.
  2. I think Disney will reboot Indiana Jones after Harrison Ford has past away. Will they fight against Nazis, maybe? With James Bond they are rebooting the franchise. It is interesting to see how much they will change eventually. Indiana Jones is whole adventure genre. It has taken ideas from other movies BUT it is unique thing. That temple, Golden Idol is probably the best set I have ever build. Let's hope that we will get more sets - BUT even more I hope they will start whole franchise again. Maybe Indiana Jones junior, age 14-15 and then he will grow up movie by movie. Also Marion, I hope she will get a BIG role. Like that LEGO figure in new Orient Express train. Which is also very much an adventure set. Hercule Poirot and so on.
  3. Ok, thank you for the great answers and explaining. BUT let's not forget super crystal and how it powers whole base. I would say there is so much mystery in upcoming space subtheme. ... About those CMF. There are these classic factions. I believe that we will get a set from each faction sooner or later. We might even see all those classic super sets remake. I mean spaceship like Galaxy Explorer or M-Tron (red space rover).
  4. This set for example... how this is different from let say Star Wars the Empire? I mean, if you shoot with laser gun and someone dies. Or you use force to innocent and it dies... then there is themes like: Pirates, Castle and Western. So that kind of WAR is ok? I am not saying Nazis are good, they are evil faction.
  5. On the Middle Ages there was bad factions also. Like Vikings who robbed whole villages and killed everyone. Watch movie (The Northman). Black Falcons are "bad faction" ... "the bad guys". Also Blacktron are a bit more evil factions. Spy ships and so on. Black colour. I don't see Nazis so different if think about history. Also the Empire in Star Wars kind of represent that ultimate evil which Nazis are known for. In Indiana Jones franchise Indiana Jones who is a professor in university and also treasure hunter fights againts Nazis which is also very interesting. (5 movies).
  6. It should be on the top with other themes. I am very new here and it is difficult to find right topic if some themes are missing. Not good. Admin should fix that kind of thing quite easily. Maybe they don't want to put Ultra Agents here :/
  7. Well, about WAR toys? Pirates, Castle, LOTR, Star Wars and many many others...? Nazis are similar to Blacktron or for example Black Falcons or the Empire in Star Wars universe.
  8. Why you think that Ultra Agents is not a action/adventure theme?
  9. If we think about what is an Indiana Jones license? What does it hold? Can LEGO make Adventurers where is very similar main character... with a whip? It can't be 1:1 copy... so maybe it has been good idea to get as many licenses. For example in that new Golden Idol temple, TLG has taken some "own rights" and put there some colour pattern which is not in the movie. So what I am trying to say is that now a days if we talk about dinosaurs - what we think? Well quite many of us think about movies, Jurassic Park Franchise (Jurassic World). AND even today when we think adventure - I would say that Indiana Jones is still most famous around the world. So it has to be so much easier for TLG to just try to get more and more licenses ... ... and we can see this with their own theme Dreamzzz... it is not easy to market that, in this world where there is so many different products.
  10. I would say that only a real artist can do something like that. No words.
  11. Ok, but what is happening in Friends sets... it is Mars BASE? AND then Technic sets NASA Mars rover... BUT also 2 futuristics sets which are same logo? but in future... NOW with LEGO CITY/Space ... it seems that it is us humans in the future. So maybe there was a world peace and just 1 race. We went to moon, mars and titan... after that we discovered that planet? That is very interesting because in upcoming CMF series - there is not relation to these figures? This whole new faction is big mystery to me. There is actually a lot of lore but now character names. That Dreamzzz set is a joke, it does not fit either with this faction.
  12. Sorry to interrupt BUT that NEW faction is actually NASA in the future. LEG print from CITY/Space (2022) is same than upcoming sets... - left leg - logo is very similar (blue = moon, orange = mars) So they are actually in Mars also. BUT they find life from there... and new energy. These theme has taken so much good things from Interstellar and The Martian, Prometheus and so on... they are actually us in the future.
  13. Very good points! I have almost forgot... new Space subtheme is about modules. Even with Technic sets. BUT somehow I wonder how these new minifigures are related with that new faction? There is not any figure - like Admiral or anybody or is there? This new faction, they are very advanced... if you think how big is the command rover. How they got that thing on the planet? How they build that BASE? NOW who are these new minifigures... it seems that there is all kind of characters without any purpose? Who is the audience?
  14. Thank you Classic_Spaceman ... Well those images are so clear that it shows upcoming minifigures. It is a total mess BUT there is some interesting minifigures. Problem is that those figures don't fit together BUT maybe that is the purpose. (Same thing with "space sets" 2024... all kinds of in different themes...)
  15. Yes, and that mystery - Space subtheme is everywhere. I mean that Friends Space is in Mars. Technic space is in Mars and near future somewhere BUT in two places and other faction is NASA. NASA rover and so on. Dreamzzz space is related different characters. I don't have any clue about that plot. Then there is one interesting point. Interstellar spaceship... that planet is not in our solar system. It has to bee somewhere far away where is asteroid so close the planet. AND what is up that SUPER crystal which gives energy for the BASE. Also what are plants used for? Crystals? Crystals + Plants ? ... and that Admiral. That is so high rank that I would have loved hear his name. And actually yeah colour: blue, green, yellow has own leader. AND some of them have technology connected to their heads. There is so much small things if you really start to look at all the seats. Even the poly bag is interesting. Set names. Everything. (and we might even get more space sets)
  16. Here is also an interview from the maker of the BOOK: https://brickset.com/article/101609/exclusive-interview-with-tim-johnson-author-of-lego-space-1978-1992 We decided to stop with Blacktron 2, largely because that was the end of the ‘classic smiley’ era.
  17. The book then dives into a chronological journey of LEGO Space, and is broken into Chapters, which conveniently act as markers for different eras of LEGO Space. Chapter 1 covers Classic Space from 1978-1987, the defining era for LEGO Space. - JANGBRICKS Top 2 images are sets from 2014 and 2015: https://brickset.com/sets/theme-Space/subtheme-Classic
  18. https://www.etsy.com This is a place where people sell all kinds of things. Similar to LEGO Bricklink.
  19. CITY/Space (2022) was NASA... Artemis program... it would be interesting to know about their background, characters, planet name, about aliens, crystals, plants... some kind of lore.
  20. Well Indiana Jones is the Adventure movies franchise. A massive thing... it would be very weird to let that go. Same with Star Wars.
  21. I think the CMF series looks a little bit like our world today. Almost total MESS,,, :/ ... BUT there are some interesting figures but not many. Main point is that these figures don't fit together like other "licensed" CMF -series.
  22. https://jaysbrickblog.com/reviews/review-lego-space-1978-1992-by-tim-johnson/ Well, this BOOK says Classic Space is also... sets from Blacktron for example? Space Police 1? and some others? BUT not Ice Planet :/
  23. Yes, they had the opportunity to use new colour "reddish orange". After that they had to decide which colours fit with that... (colour palette). Then they had to decide which parts and what kind of parts will be made that "reddish orange". BUT I agree. In all interviews those designers / design team has been very excited to do something else than boring formulas or cars. CHALLENGE with these new sets were kids. How they play with those models - do they understand what they are. (These 3 will be my first Technic sets ever).
  24. Can someone tell me what you mean with classic space? Because it sounds like minifigure can only have that smiley face. No other faces. Yellow. AND then what? Should that CS also evolve somehow... I agree that CS should have bee taken more seriously, CMF (2024).
  25. Thank you for your answers... so there is so many factions already introduced. Now we are getting a "Space" subtheme. These upcoming CMF, is there any figure which belong to the upcoming sets? If not, what is the name of that upcoming faction? Is it NASA. I some how think it can't be. It is sci-fi, there is not planet like that... at least we haven't found it yet. ... That minifigure with black legs and torso + green head reminds me about CARD 3... stars and rocket.
