Well that's just ridiculous and narrow minded. For a novelist, you obviously don't read much. I've read about similar situations to ours, and statistically, when we have an even number of us to start with, we the villagers have a higher probability of winning when we vote on the first day, even random voting, than if we don't vote. So, I'm all for a vote on the first day sir, and if we have a possible lead like we have in this situation, then all the better. Waiting for evidence is what they do in detective books, and this isn't a kids story, sir, this is real life. Man am I glad they forced us to do that probability paper in the Academy. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm keen to get this situation cleared up as soon as possible so we can all go back to our every day lives. I'm not going to stand by and wait for them to come kill us in the night, nor am Igoing to wait for "evidence" to fall out of the sky. That is simply not going to happen. No, I agree with Madame Harriet, we must follow our gut instincts in this matter. Thus, to get things moving, I'm going to Vote: Zed Phillips (Zepher). As an officer of the force, we are taught to act decisively and to set an example for the public good. Well, the Chief has instructed us to vote, so that is what I will do. Plus I never liked your damn freaky novels anyway.

So are they just fellow vampires then, Mr. Count? I probably wouldn't mind too much if they wanted to suck me dry...
-
Yeah, that's what most decent vampires do, right before they suck your... um, your... blood, that's it. From your... neck.
-
I don't know why everyone is so confused, it says it right there.
-
He's a Count, not a Baron. And a vampire, don't be fooled good sir. It is my duty to the public to make sure they are not confused by misconceptions such as this.

I should add that some of the people who get picked to play time and time again are those that contribute massively to the site in other areas and deserve a bit of relaxation every now and then. It may be tough, but ultimately, the host is the one putting in all the effort, and it is thus that person's right to decide who plays in their game. I encourage all hosts to accept a couple of new players every time, but ultimately, it is their decision. Don't read too much into it, we have so many great people who want to play in these games, but we have limited spaces available unfortunately. All hope is not lost however, as you will all find out at the conclusion of JimButcher's game. Let's just say that if you haven't played in an EB game before, then you will want to be around then.

Oh, I'll have a wiener if there are any left. Did someone mention nuts? I love nuts! What can I say, as an officer on patrol, you learn to enjoy decent food when you can get it.

Good show old boy, good show. I should hope everyone knows how to handle sluts in these parts. -
Ah yes, I will have some cock then, thank you Harriet. Now then, as an Officer of the Law, it is my duty to make sure things stay clean around here. No, I don't mean you madame, you're already pretty dirty. Let's try to keep things civilised, as that way we'll be best able to spot the sluts werewolves. I hear they are pretty filthy creatures.
-
No voting during breakfast, that seems fairly civilised at least, considering out host is a vampire. Harriet, could you pass me one of those big, juicy sausages please? And some bacon, that looks delicious. Thank you for your hospitality Count von Edgar.

Why are you all talking about sluts and flying piggies? Shouldn't we be focusing on the werewolves? Oh, he's a Baron now? He doesn't look like a Baron, he looks like a damn Count. Someone is lying to us. Well, whatever he is, he's still a vampire in my professional opinion. -

What are you blathering about, Count von Edgar? You look like a count to me. And a vampire. Especially with those two slaves of yours. -

Order thank you. Damn baton... Right, where are we? Oh yes, I see. I'm Dacius Nathans of the Blackwood Police Force. I'm glad to hear the chief is looking into the situation, we could have a riot on our hands if this isn't cleared up soon. Why are we staying with a vampire? -

What the hell is going on here? Where did all these sluts come from? I think it's about time we had some order around here. Harriet, come help me with my baton, I can't get it out of my pants. -
Dr. Bloodbrick's Asylum - The Conclusion
Dragonator replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I love that role. I loved all the little quirks in this game like the PR, def. Really neat additions, it was awesome to play in something completely different from anything we've ever had on EB before. I like that. -
Dr. Bloodbrick's Asylum - The Conclusion

I feel so filthy!! What an awesome, roller-coaster-ride of a game. I have a few things to say... Oh yes, so I do! Hell no I didn't! This was one of the craziest games I have played, I was freaking out almost through the whole thing. Trying to maintain my cover across all the thousands of PMs was definitely the hardest part. It was a great bonus for our team, but it was also a huge risk; one false move or slip, and I could have been done for. I pushed far too hard for Kovacs conviction at the end there, but we were close, and I figured it was now or never. I had a great deal of trouble keeping track of what was public knowledge and what wasn't as well.I was particularly freaked when we proved Peanuts was a standard investigator, I was certain that would ring some alarm bells for people about Stash. There were a lot of moments when I was freaked in this. What made this game a bit easier for us as the scum was being able to avoid the town night actions and thus pull off a kill every night, we wanted to. If we hadn't had that extra information, then we could easily have stumbled into a trap. Sorry Hinck, but you helped us a bit there by forming the garden club. Overall I found this game a great challenge, and a heck of a lot of fun. Thanks everyone for playing, I really enjoyed it, one of the best all-round games we've had I think. def, your presentation was fantastic, and your hosting spot on. This was a very complex game, and I think you did an exceptional job keeping track of everything and making it as enjoyable and insane as you could. I would have loved to play on the town side, just to get more of that experience. Yes there were one or two things that were unclear perhaps, but we all make mistakes on occasion, and I'm really glad I let you host this. My fellow sinisters, thanks for working so hard at this game. You all put in a huge amount of effort, and we really couldn't have done it without you all committing so much time and trust in each other. I really liked how we worked together and bounced ideas, communication really is a key component to a winning scum side. You are all fantastic players, it was a pleasure to work with you. Hinck, I think you deserve a special mention. You may not have won, but you really gave this game your all, and I admire that. Your dedication to the town and your attempts to take down the sinister were really well thought out, it's just unfortunate for you that we were able to prevent most of them. Thanks for keeping me on my toes, you made this a really exciting experience for me, I had to watch what I said so carefully, and what I passed on to. I am thankful that all my fellow scum were able to keep the info I passed on between us mostly! On a completely unrelated note, I really do love that chamber skin. To the rest of the town, you really did try your best, so really well done guys. This was an advanced game and due to a few mistakes and misinterpretations it didn't really help you much. But, the Sinister were victorious in the end, suckers. I need to go have a shower. -
Hmmm, sounds good, I'm keen to sign up. I should note however, that I am not a drug addict.

It may be worth noting at this point our image-posting guidelines. It is against EB policy to post pictures which are marked in the way outlined in this pdf. I have also renamed this thread, "Pleas read this" is a little presumptuous BrickWild. -
How likely is it that you'd get into waitlisted classes?
Dragonator replied to Iysk's topic in Community
Umm, no. EDIT: Maybe that was a little harsh. This sort of topic really isn't appropriate on a Lego forum, ok? Thanks. -
I'm going to miss Dieter, he was a true friend, someone you could always rely upon to both put in the hard work while keeping a fantastic sense of humour. I can still see much of that humour around the place now, in the many titles he used to give out. I'm glad I had the chance to know Dieter, to laugh with him, and to work along side him. This is a tragic loss, one which I don't think we'll ever truly get used to. My thoughts go out to the family, I hope they know how much he meant to all of us.

Dr. Bloodbrick's Asylum - Day Seven
Dragonator replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
If we don't have a roleblocker, then a killing will happen tonight regardless, however if we take out their roleblocker then our protector has a chance. The machete will be passed on, there is no doubting that. However, there is no guarantee it will be passed to the professor; I would say it is more likely to be passed to a third goon that we haven't uncovered yet, meaning we will be left not knowing who the killer is. In the event there really are only two sinister and it is passed to the professor, then I would say he will find time to both kill and block, it would make sense considering the lower numbers. I don't mind too much either way, they are both sinister, but I think killing the professor first gives us all a better chance of surviving to the end. -
Dr. Bloodbrick's Asylum - Day Seven
Dragonator replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I've had a long think about the current situation. We have some great leads and appear to have finally uncovered two of the sinister. Now, the question is, which should we take out first? My natural inclination is to vote for TimTam and take out their killer, but as has been noted, the machete will simply be passed to the next goon, meaning we still don't stop them from killing tonight. We know the professor has an action, either that of the framer or the roleblocker. I think it would be more beneficial to us if we take him out first, and then deal with TimTam tomorrow. Firstly, it means our town roleblocker, who must be out there somewhere, knows who to block and can hopefully stop the killing that way. Secondly, it means the sinister will lose one of their primary night actions, that of the roleblocker (or framer). Taking out the Sinister roleblocker will be a huge help, as it means our own protector and blocker will have nothing to fear. How does that logic sound to the rest of you? I figure it is better for us to take out one of their power roles and know who their killer is so we can block that killer, rather than letting the machete be passed on and essentially not affecting their nightly actions at all. Therefore, I shall vote: Professor Diem (Walter Kovacs).
