New Zealand: "Where to find Lego"
Dragonator replied to Legoman's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Yeah, they did, and the answer was Lego NZ isn't getting in anymore sets. Seriously, some of the store owners are panicking as they can't fulfill pre-orders for some of the sets like The Burrow, they've been frantically trying to get more stock from other stores! It's madness, really. -
New Zealand: "Where to find Lego"
Dragonator replied to Legoman's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
If you still want HP sets you're going to have to move fast. What Nikkiwi says is correct; Lego NZ ordered in a lot less of the HP sets than the stores thought they were getting, so there is a bit of a shortage in NZ, and they will not be getting in any more. So once it is gone, there won't be any restocking, unfortunately. I'm glad I ordered most of the sets from the US while they were still available, only set I decided not to get is the train. Moore Wilson in Wellington still has a couple of HP sets on the shelves, as does the TW Megastore. I understand TW Kapiti sold out on the first day. If anyone spots any of the impulse sets from this year, do shout out. I fear we may not be getting them, which would be a shame. -
Welcome to EuroBricks Gryphon Ink, I hope you have a great time in our little community, you'll meet lots of great people here who are just as enthusiastic as you about your hobby. I'm excited about Pharaoh Quest too, those Anubis minifigs are amazing, aren't they? If you need any help, feel free to contact a member of staff, we're happy to point you in the right direction, as would most of our members too I would say.

REVIEW: 7327 Scorpion Pyramid
Dragonator replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
What a stunning review Hinckley, the photographs really detail the entire set and show everything it has to offer, which is a lot! It will be several months before these are available in NZ, but I know what I'm going to be spending lots on next year. That Anubis figure is just amazing! That head has to be one of my favourite minifig moulds out there, I'd love a pile as well. The detailed printed parts in this are fantastic to see, and even the stickers don't look too bad really. As someone who missed the majority of the original desert sets and has pined after them ever since, this is like a dream come true. Unlike a lot of recent sets, I actually like this for more than just the minifigs, the design of the set looks great and has a lot of really useful parts. I'm going to need a few of these. I'll be very interested to see what the retail price is in NZ for this, it has been cheaper to import quite a few of the sets recently, unfortunately. Thanks again Hinck, you really are a star! -

Dragonator replied to Zepher's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Player participation is always what makes a successful game; there will be plenty of time to discuss the pros and cons of large numbers of players once the game is concluded. I will have a few observations to make then, but in the mean time, keep playing, and I urge any players who haven't been all that active to get involved, as it only ruins the fun for others when half the players aren't actually active. -

Don't be talking about the specifics of the game please, even if it is common knowledge, save that for when it's all over. And it looks like I'm dead, as expected. -
Sure thing, topic closed!

I think you played your character really well. -
Damn, looks like I slept in and came late to the party! I too am for a vote against Dick, and I am glad he has been convicted. The fact is, we are never going to get 100% certain evidence against anyone, we only have what we know to go off, and this seems like the wisest choice for today. So even though it is arbitrary now, I shall also vote. Vote:Dick “Defiant” Dillard (Def) May god have mercy on your soul if you are innocent Dick, but somehow, I doubt it. So, I guess drinks are on me since our bartender is dead?

There is a rather big difference between saying someone is a liar and saying they are scum. Personally, despite his madness towards the end there, I have reason to trust Stash's word on you two as both of you to me in private well before he posted that list, saying you were both converted by Sandy. Considering he was the one who knew so much about the Ronzoni family and helped us to convict Sandy, I would be willing to trust him on that. It's a classic tactic of the guilty to try and deflect blame onto someone else, Shaun did it a lot yesterday, and here we're seeing the same thing happening again. You aren't exactly helping yourself, Dick.
-
Awww, you're so sweet for a scumbag killer.
-
I'm glad to hear it!
-
Yeah, I don't believe a word of that sorry Alice. Last I checked you can't have two night actions, so claiming you can both investigate and send people definite information of your loyalty is a contradiction that confirms Stash's accusations of you. It's nice of you to vouch for my loyalty, but seriously, doing so isn't going to make me change my mind that you're scum. Stash was very certain that Sandy converted you on night 3. But, I'm happy to vote out def first to test the theory, and if Stash was right about him then we can vote off Alice tomorrow. Unfortunately that will come after she has had a chance to kill another person and send out more of her "documents", but we can only convict one at a time... Does anybody else have any alternative suggestions, by the way? I'm open to ideas today, as long as we take out a mafioso.
-
I'm sorry to see our Senator dead at the hands of that merciless anarchist, but at last he didn't get the chance to kill anyone else. I do wonder what we will do without the guidance of out Senator in future, he was a good man, dedicated to this town. I would be happy to support this, although I do believe we need to endeavour to find the Noodles godfather as well, as I would assume from the night results that he is the only mafioso left who can convert. Unfortunately, I don't have any leads on that one at all. It is interesting to note that in the voting pool against Stash yesterday, Alice, Dick and Shaun were all present. I wouldn't be surprised if the Noodles boss was amoung that lot too, but I won't jump to any conclusions.

Of course I'm keen for a spot in this, it has been a while sine we've had a mystery game. Although technically there is one still running. I've played in a couple of games on EB, you know, this and that. I've also played in a live horror RPG set in 1954 involving nuclear bomb testing at Bikini Atoll, flying tentacle creatures and several encounters with a lad called Sawyer. Not sure if that qualifies me or not, but it was one hell of a nightmarish game, I can tell you!

It sounds more like an Aventine pig on the way to the slaughterhouse to me.
-
Does anybody hear that vile noise?
-
Well there we go then, even more reason to say that he doesn't have a clue who has his vests.
-
Since I'm in the mood for pointing out just how much of a manipulator Shaun is without repeating the same drivel over and over again like he does, I thought I might point out a few observations I have made. Shaun got rid of Carrie in a vote on day 3, something none of us minded considering she was scum, but which was obviously done to try and secure our trust so he could go on to instigate the deaths of more of us. On day 4 he was very vocal in convicting the stuttering cop, and many of us were unfortunately drawn into that vote, but most interestingly is what comes after. On night 4, the secretary to the governor was crushed in a door by the gun-wielding mafioso. On night 5, Police Man Hans Keen was shot by the same person. Both of them were innocent townies. What else is similar about all these people? They were all of the government. We all know that the mafioso with the gun was Sandy. Putting those facts together, along with Sandy's claim that Shaun had been using her to kill public servants, his fixation with killing the mayor, and the message I got from Stash telling me Shaun has to kill the politicians back on night 4, we can see a pattern of government deaths leading right back to the door of Shaun Dows. Coincidence, my friends? I think not. My dear Alice, the fact there aren't any town vigilantes makes your argument rather flawed, and even if there were they would still just be killing randomly, as we don't know who the final mob boss is. Stash did sell a vest to a shady character, Sandy, but he also sold one to a loyal police officer. Other than that, we have no evidence surrounding the vests whatsoever. If we convicted Stash, townies would still be dying tonight, so your logic there is again flawed. The mob aren't going to stop killing people just because we kill someone who makes vests, but we will have a much easier time picking them off tomorrow once we are all free of the vile Shadow that Shaun casts on this town.
-
I'm sorry, but that really has to be the worst attempt at subterfuge I've ever seen in all my days as a police officer. Is there a reason the voice in the sky suddenly just decided to tell you that vests are "illegal", or did it come out of nowhere?
-
Yep, he still maintains that he is innocent. What? How the hell can a vest be illegal, I'm a blasted police officer, I think I know what the law is! That's the lamest thing I've ever heard! I'm pretty sure it's only 15 and we still need one more vote, but do a count just to be sure.
-
I'm pretty sure he is still maintaining the lie he has been telling us all along, that he is an innocent loyal townie, but if he has changed that story then I've been proved right in my assertion that he is neutral already, haven't I? I don't think he has changed his story though, I'll read back and check.
-
Thanks for supporting the town in this one, you will not be disappointed when Shaun is revealed as a neutral tomorrow.
