Ideas for new Lego themes! (Non-licensed)
Black Falcon replied to The lego fan's topic in General LEGO Discussion
No idea, you would have to ask Lego about that. But I doubt an Atlantis that is on the Surface would sell better than one under the sea ;). -

I´ve read that you wrote that. Just that doesn´t make it a better idea. When you want to sell people an Atlantis they will want an sunken City with seapeople. If you want to sell an unsunken Atlantis, it would need a Movie it is based on or something IMO. As for Poseidon and Neptunia. Well their names speak for themselves ;). People will just have expectation with these names. -

Wouldn´t a sunken Atlantis kinda make more sense, when Poseidon and Neptunia rule it especially? Also a sunken Atlantis with waterpeople would just sell better IMO -
Is It Possible To Reintroduce Old Sets?
Black Falcon replied to SpacePolice89's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Just that legends is not a theme where Sets belong to each other. They introduce iconic sets, and it doesn´t really work to promote and little Castle Set to make people buy a Pirate and Space one. I mean If they sell an and low Price Setwith some Knights and Siege. That might make people want to buy a castle. So if you have one good, but all the other Sets won´t profit from that promo really. In that matter, it would make more sense to make a promo Set as a GWP, which only would be given when you buy legends Sets. That way people would just buy the set they want but would get the promo one for free. -
Is It Possible To Reintroduce Old Sets?
Black Falcon replied to SpacePolice89's topic in General LEGO Discussion
That would be hard to track though. And also, which sets should it spark interest to? I mean, I can totally see them doing that with a little Set of a new theme, to promote this theme. But with legends? I don´t know... -
Is It Possible To Reintroduce Old Sets?
Black Falcon replied to SpacePolice89's topic in General LEGO Discussion
There would have to be minor changes at least for most of them, due to several reasons. But yeah, especially the ones with special Baseplates would have no chance without getting modernized. I agree with that one. While reproductions of older set with only minor chances would still be nice, modernizing them is the better way IMO. While Legends Sets would mainly interest consumers that were in their childhood when those sets were produced, the modernized Sets just have a better chance to also attract younger consumers. So while it would be possible to bring back old Sets with minor changes only, I highly doubt we will see that in the near future. -

It honestly suprised me that it came back that late. But yeah, it is possible. Anyways I wouldn´t count on it and better get it when you can. I mean if it shows up again, great. But if it doesn´t it might be quite expensive to buy if you missed it. -
Wizarding World 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

I agree with you there. And really I would have bet they wouldn´t do it. It might be, that the hat didn´t receive that good ratings in the survey so they decided to include the sound brick. I mean, I would expect that you click some button and then the had randomly says one of the four houses. That kinda would be the selling point of it instead of beeing just for show. -

Even that is quite far away from November. I mean it is not impossible, but still seems kinda unlikely to me. I would guess for them to have it on 18th November going either till Sunday of the Black Friday Weekend. Or just from Friday to Sunday on both Weekends. -

Or we are just getting the ones that went well with the Survey. I mean, that is kinda the idea behind all that right? Although some sets might just get changed based on the surveys. Like a big set becomes a smaller one etc. The burrows however doesn´t seem that unlikely though. I mean, the hat was clearly the more unlike one of them. -

Actually. The first time will still be in the future. It is said it will be out as GWP from 18th November. There aren´t even any pics out yet. Anyways I don´t see them bringing it back for the Medival Market Village, unless that one would come in early 2024 - but I would suspect for it to come around the same time the Lion Knights Castle and the Eldorado Fortress were released. Likely with a new GWP -
The Set is rumoured to be avaiable as GWP from 18th November - so a few days before that date we should get first pictures. Wouldn´t expect them to show up much sooner than that.

I´m honestly not sure anymore if you really just have a different opinion, or are indeed just trolling. I mean if you have an other taste, ok. But tell me, where does the Blue Brixx set have the same colour scheme, as the blue brixx actually is the only one of those 4 that doesn´t. Also, the Barracuda could match to any of thoses sets, I just don´t see what qualifies the BB one to be called the companion Set either. For me it would be just to worst coice out of all of them, is looks just boring with not much imagination put into it. The new Eldorado Fortress has way more details, playfeatures and nice ideas. The rockbuild of the BB one is just terrible, and the ramp just looks as boring as the one from Lion Knights castle. The dock just looks out of proportion towards the main building, that is taking a to minor part of the whole set. And lastly they are trying to add details to the main building using masonary bricks, that are just not there - not to mention the designer should have made his mind up on whether it is red or tan bricks ;). The new Eldorado Fortress does the same, but at least uses an different technic which doesn´t make it look as blatantly.

The Bluebrixx one would be last by far. I mean, it is by far the ugliest, followed by the old Lego Set, which at least has the "charm" to look at the old Set. I couldn´t deicde whether the Moc or the new Lego Set does look the best, they both look great in their own aproach. If we are talking about how easy they are to build, I would guess the Old Eldorado would win that one by far, then I for the other three I would have to build them, to really make a choice there. They all don´t seem to be that hard to build but might have some fiddly things. For how realistic they look - I would say none of them really looks realistic to me. When we talk about play features, then it is an easy win for the new Eldorado, followed be the old one, followed by the moc.

Latest impact of other themes on historic themes
Black Falcon replied to Wardancer's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
There shouldn´t be any stickers in that set, which is pretty nice. Also the brown tiles can be used pretty good as decoration in other sets, so one more reason why Lego wouldn´t use stickers for them ;). -
Honestly, who cares? I mean you see the main details of the bricks. If the tubes would be also missing, then I would agree.
-
Well, it is not new that you don´t like the style of the renewed Sets. But when you look at the overall feedback the majority is positiiv. ;) If you look what kind of other spacelike Sets they made that are not based on some movie vehicle like Toy Story or Star Wars, they still look good and not to colourfull IMO. But well there we have the different tastes again ;)

Not all Kids only love Ninjago, there is still a big fan base of Kids that like especially Harry Potter. No idea about Marvel really, they and DC seem less attractive to Kids for me, but I can be wrong. Star Wars. Well yeah, there might be some influence from the Parents (but really parents have influence in like everything towards their kids right? ;) -

I wouldn´t say mostly. But there are many for sure. (Unless you count Adults buying for their kids, then I would even agree to mostly lol). -
Lord of the Rings Ongoing Discussion
Black Falcon replied to Momotof's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I don´t see high chances for that. My hope is still, that they will new Sets when the new movies come out. And then also new Sets for LotR. -
If you plan on getting others later, that makes sense. If you really are just going to buy one of the sets, I would go with whatever you like the most. Pyramid was on my list, but there are just so many sets around and I can´t really buy everything, so that might be one of those that I won´t get - still a nice Set though. My favourity from the List is the Lion Knights Castle. There are just so many details and also playfeatures IMO.
-
Well for me it wouldn´t matter much which theme they would bring back. What matters is if the Set is good or not. They could even make a new Faction.
-
Well my experience is mostly based from what people talk about, like for instance in this forum. You hear things like Classic Space, M-Tron, Blacktron or Space Police a lot. The mention of Ice Planet surprised me a bit on your List.
