Well. Actually I would hope they won´t put Orcs or such in that Series. And no Gondor or Rohan Armor. That would just end bad IMO. For that they should make Army packs. Well you can always make new Knighst, new historical Figures etc, bring old figures from old themes back etc. So yeah there should be enough ideas

Lord of the Rings Ongoing Discussion
Black Falcon replied to Momotof's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I think their License only works for the Hobbit and Lotr movies. For ROP, it was said that Amazon doesn´t have the rights to make merchandise for it, so I guess it is just not possible, if it is true. All in all that licensing stuff is quite complicated, as you won´t find any reliable information I guess. Actually the greatest chance I see for new Lord of the Rings Sets, aside from big one in a year ones, are the movies Peter Jackson is working on. There might be Sets for them and when they just picked it up, there is a good chance for more (like Harry Potter for example) -
Well it depends, for normal Series 12 might be enough. But for licensed Series it can be more difficult IMO. I mean for Marvel it didn´t really matter but for other series like Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings it would indeed limit it a lot. Lord of the Rings would basically already need 9 spots for the Fellowship of the Ring. Then lets say Saruman, Galadriel, Elrond. Now people would expect Sauron there too I guess, but no place - it is quite limiting IMO. Harry Potter you have Ron, Harry, Hermione, then there are 9 places left. I mean you can do quite a bit with that but it just gives you a better diversity.

Wizarding World 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Black Falcon replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
The question is, what a complete hogwarts castle even is. I mean it was changed a lot over time, things were moved, added, removed. then you have things like Hagrids hut, Not part of the main castle but still belongs to it (especially it beeing hogwarts and grounds) -
I doubt they will return to making more figures again. Unless it is specially nessecary, for instance when Lego is asked to by the license owner. If the series really is going to be about Space I would think there would be both old and new Space figures. Likely one new coloured Classic Space guy, which would actually be the only one I could imagine they would take the original design, for other themes they could take an updated, more detailed design. And some new Alien guys. I also Kinda like the idea mentioned in this thread they could make different specialists like an space doctor etc.

The connection between upper body and lower body is different yes. But Arms and Head seem to be same. No idea why they didn´t change that aswell.
-
I think the problem was not, that they looked to similar (well some did, but others looked quite different) but that they were technically the same with the way they were build. Hence the new design for the legs. The upper Body on the other hand is technically still the same it seems.

With place I didn´t mean it would replace them. Just that I think it will be released at the same time in early august ;). I doubt that the Lion Knights Castle will retire next year already. I would actually think it will be one of those sets that stay around for quite a while, before they retire. -
They are working just fine for me. I like the arrangement of all the stuff in you build. The frogs are very legolike ;).

I think if the Village is coming it will take the place of Eldorado Fortress, Lion Knights castle and Galaxy Explorer. So I won´t expect some real information anytime soon. -
Jurassic Park/World 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Black Falcon replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well given the Raptors in the movies are already pretty oversized, I don´t really care about that. Though I don´t see why they couldn´t have done the same mould with movable parts just not that big ;) -

And I am entirely sure it won´t. ;) I mean they are just too different. As for the moulds, I kinda like the beta one. But I like the old Raptor moulds better than the new ones. I mean I think there is a reason they still use the old one for Blue. It is just so much better in playability. -

That won´t work. If they would want to make a kid T-Rex they would have to make a new mould for it. And whatever new moulds they do I just hope they return to more movable parts, but I actually doubt they will. I don´t like the new raptor moulds, where arms and legs are one part with the body... -
Well, I still have my suspicions, that it will really turn out to be an unlicenced space series, but I really hope it will. In normal Minifigure Series there are always Figures you like and which you don´t, and with the boxes you might have the choice to either buy a full series, or buy the figures you want for a higher price. With a themes Series it is more likely that buying the whole will be worth it. Even when there are two Figures you wouldn´t want to buy, you will still end cheaper if you buy them all. That beeing said, I just hope they will do Themed, unlicensed Series, as I would really like to have a Castle or Pirate one. For the Space Series, it might depend a lot on the figures. While I got myself the classic Spacemen I didn´t really like the Alien they had inside. Anyways we will have to wait and see when more infos arrive.

Did Space themes really had their own branding? If you look into old catalogues there are themes like Duplo, Fabuland, Town, Train, Castle, Space and Pirates. Nowadays they are sorted into own Themes because poeple like it tidy, but actually Futuron are Classic Space men with updated Design, Blacktron are just another faction (you could say Blacktron were the bad guys and the Futuron Classic Space men were the good ones). And other good example is Space Police 1, where the same Minifigures are used as in Futuron, just using an other visor, so you can see they are policemen. Not to mention, that blacktron minifigures were in jail,
-
Well, I wouldn´t say that, they still have many fans. But yeah, for me 4-6 were clearly the best. And I am not really a fan of the prequel ones. But I would say Rogue one and even Solo were actually not bad ;) Well I think there were some really bad decisions in the ST, one of them mainly destroying everything the OT achieved. And whoever had the idea to make Han´ and Leia´s son the main bad guy should have been fired IMO ;).
-
Well, I agree that Space and SW could easily coexist. But honestly. there would be no way that Space would even get close to what SW is selling. I mean just look at the number of sets they are releasing each year for SW. They made classic Space Sets for ten years, before they started right away with the next theme. And since then there were also Classic Space Sets (well GWPs, the CMF Minifigure and the renewed Galaxy Explorer) So you can´t exactly say it is dead, although, obviosly they won´t ressurect it as an own theme again (which it actually never was IMO). After Classic Space they had many different Space Series, but I don´t think they were discontinued because they were not going well, but more like Lego thought some new Ideas would sell better than new Sets from an more or less same looking other Space vehicle ;). And when Star Wars came out, they might have thought well, which Space theme could we do next, lets try SW.

2018, but actually not all Sets do have them (at least some of the Stunts Sets, if not all of them for instance). It was stated, that there actually is no collection (yet) where you can add your sets to see which ones you already got. -
Well it was clear, that it isn´t the same colour as the original one, but looked close enough to me - but I just did realise that it is the same as in the Blacktron GWP. It is kinda funny when you look at both Sets, how different the canopy looks.
-
Yeah, back then that worked. But now after more than 30 years? Buyers expect to M-Tron to just look like that. And actually I could see 76832 XL-15 Spaceship Cockpit window beeing used for 6923 Particle Ionizer the colour is close enough IMO
-
Ah thanks, I was wondering to which of the other series that could reffering to lol. But that would be really unlikely, that Lego would do such a thing. I mean M-Tron has a colour sheme, and so they will keep on it, with some minor changes I guess. Even if there would be an M-Tron 2 it would still have to keep the colour IMO, or else it wouldn´t be M-Tron
-
What is M-Tron 2?
-
Well not sure if they really are, sure they have many fans nowadays and many people wishing them back. But it is not like people claim for them to be the holy grail and beat Star Wars or something. Well I would agree on the Knights Kingdom Series, which IMO is the most horrible Castle Series Lego made - though, that last wave of Sets was already a lot better IMO. But the Series after that, although beeing more modern than the classic series were pretty good IMO. And I couldn´t call the last waves of Space or Pirate bad either. Well. I wouldn´t agree on that won´t happen anymore today, but it surely would less now, yeah - but it the reason for this really the sets? I mean you have Star Wars, Technic and plenty other Themes which are not that bright ;). I would think however, with Phones, Computers and such, there is just more other things aside from Lego, which might just seem more interesting then. Agreed. And I would really hope Lego would bring whole Lego waves of old Sets back. I mean they wouldn´t even need to have them up all the time, they could bring new Castle Sets one year, Pirates the next, Space after etc... Then there would at least be two Themes be active together with one new coming up, when the first retires after two years. As mentioned above, Star Wars (if they are a fan of that ofc) could also do this job. But yeah, there is a big diversity of Sets around especially with 18+ too.
-
If it won´t be a Blacktron Set, the figure might be gone by then. But the fact that it actually is in PAB for me is the biggest hint, that they rumours might be true ;)
-
I agree on the no Stickers. While I can understand it in certain Sets, that would need tons of printed bricks, There are many Sets where I they really disappoint me. The Indiana Jones Display Set for instance,
