Well, not sure if it is a good style of discussion to imply that people only like stuff because there is the name Lego on it. I like the Lion Knights Castle, because I just like the style, the functions, the details. Aside from the ugly ramp, I can´t mention that thing often enough. You don´t like it, ok. It is fine, people have different tastes and the world would be boring if it was any different ;). But you should just accept that others still can like the set and have different opinions about it. That beeing said, there are more than enough Lego Sets I don´t like. And actually way to many I actually do like ;). You have to show me the old castle that had only 3 minifigures. All of them had way more than that. And most of them had one or more horses.

I really don´t like GWPs where you have to buy a certain Set at a certain time to get it. I mean, usually those Sets would be very expensive. I am very glad, that the Harry Potter GWP works for all Sets of the theme and not only the bank.That beeing said, with Rivendell that just wouldn´t have worked, with the lack of other sets to buy.

In that case they couldn´t have done the galaxy explorer though. Also Nasa sets would also compete with Star Wars, same for Avatar. I mean it has no space ship sets, but still one sci fi franchise against another and Disney would likely see that one more as competing one than Nasa, City or Classic Space Sets

Well maybe they did it with Sets like the Osprey that they didn´t sell in the end. but for Sets that just sell bad I think it is just easier to lower the price - in the end the product still will be around for long enough to sell it. In the end it is not that they would normally produce that many sets at the begining that they wouldn´t be able to get them sold. I mean usually they would just produce more once the ones produced are sold, so you just are not going to do that if you don´t think you can´t sell them Also, what is the chima route?

I am pretty sure it had a higher budged than the Galaxy Explorer but less than the castle ;). It looks more like we get mora then one set each year now. ;) So there is a good chance for space sets to get a spot in that more often than every three years. It is kinda hard to tell how good these sets are selling. If you look at the comments to blogs and such you would think they would sell pretty well. But that is mainly only how AFOLs think about those, so hard to tell how the normal people, kids etc see them. Space Police seems to be quite popular too. Well you never know, they might just make a new similar colour. It kinda depends on whether they need it or not, IMO. For a revival Set they for sure won´t bring it back, but if they need it elsewhere, it might be possible.

I agree on it beeing strange since you would think that the information usually come from sellers that get their catalogues to order the sets from Lego early on. Last year we had that information already ad this point. On the other side we got the setnumbers so I don´t really mind to wait for more informations.

Might be that those are part of the reason for people not to watch it further. Though I wouldn´t call everyone that disliked the skin colour of some of the actors racist. There are also those who just disliked the fact that they just don´t fit into the world of Middleearth they way they are introduced. Like normally the elves (and not only in middle earth actually) are described as having very bright skin, for instance. But I think the mayor problem for the fans of the books was actually the story itself. Although having the characters of the books the story isn´t very true to the source material. So yeah I can understand if fans of the book don´t like what RoP makes out of the lore, because indeed it is much better than what RoP presents us. And RoP has partly the same problems Williow did aswell. The story isn´t the best, and both have scenes you would just like to forget because they just make the whole series seem even worse. Also both actually had quite good settings and some of the costumes were pretty good too. But then there are some costumes where you ask yourself who the hell gave the ok for that (Willow wearing jeans for instance). That beeing said, I watched both seasons to the end, and would have watched a second season for both. Because both series have really good moments and honestly there isn´t that much good high fantasy around anyways. Overall both series are not great but they are ok - and kinda I still would have wanted to know how they ended - at least for RoP we still can see that and I really hope they use their chance and make things better than they did in season one.

Olive was more example. The same goes for other colours used such as tan. Well. I really don´t like the right one, to me the original design seems just so much better. Well you can open it to play, and I do think kids wouldn´t have a problem to play with it even if they don´t open it. Plus you can always rebuild it to be more playable if you like. The real problem I see with this set is just it´s lack of minifigures, horses etc. Actually, as part of the Bricklink designer programm you wouldn´t have any problem to resell that. ;) Also, it sounded earlier as if you own both the Galaxy Explorer and the Lion Knights castle. So apparently it was good enough to buy it, wasn´t it? For me, the Lion Knights Castle is just so much better than this castle. I mean it is not bad, but when they revealed the sets that will be released I was just kinda hoping for other sets that were more my favourite. It still has some good details, I really love the oriel of the main tower for instance.

Lego will obviously continue making Minidoll Sets. But I also think they will also continue Minifigure-Based Sets. Might be that those will be mainly about older works though.

Well you could say the Galaxy Explorer is Galaxy Explorer II which of course looks faster because there have been years of research between both models. ;) But well its mainly because the old one has studs everywhere which the new one doesn´t. With all the stuff you wrote about the Lion Knights castle, the only thing I can agree with is the ugly ramp. Aside from that, for me, this set is just perfect the way it is. For you the walls are too grey. I am honestly happy they are, as I really dislike the most mocs that try to look more realistic using various colours such as olive.

The Galaxy explorer doesn´t look like a jet fighter to me. Sure you could take the two antenna in the front as weapons if you like. But for a fighter there would be weapons on the side wings. I mean, in my opinion it would have been great if they would have made a new build like they did with the Lion Knights castle, the Galaxy Explorere is still quite true to his former model. Which isn´t neccesarily a bad thing. If you read all the comments about it, they made everything right with it, but sure you will always find people with other opionions about every set. About the 10305 I have to strongly disagree though. For me this is maybe the best Lego Set they made yet and there are so many details and ideas in it that I just don´t see how you can call it to have "no imagination". As mentioned above, not everyone has the same taste and you are ofc free to dislike it. ;)

That only Lego can answer ;). But I actually think for the classic Space minifigures, that is actually what people wanted, you basically already have an updated design with the futuron minifigures - which are just less iconic than the classic space ones. So yes, I think it was the right choice there. And I think, that they did with the classic space minifigures might be the reason they did the same with the Blacktron one. I would have loved to see an updated design for that one though.

Well the other themed Battlepacks would be yellow minifigures also ;). And yeah, they would sell good. I doubt that other themes would sell worse, but all the sets are creator, ideas (and actually running out this year) or Icons. And lego won´t sell any figure packs unless they have an own theme for them sadly.

Well maybe Lego would still make Knight Battle Packs and such, if they would have the castle theme active. But as long as they are not giving us normal Sets again for those Themes, we won´t get battle packs either. As for City, I don´t really see the need for that Kind of Battlepack really, There are so many City based Sets with fire fighter, and police around, that I don´t see the need for it (unlike with Castle where more Army is always needed ;). They made Police-MF-Accessory-Set in 2020 though I really prefer Sets like People Pack - Fun in the Park, People-Pack-Fun-at-the-Beach or People Pack - Outdoor Adventures. Anyways for me it isn´t unlikely we will see more sets like this in the city theme at least.

I still don´t see it happening. I mean, what you describe would be basically a Set with two Harrys (one with a Hermione Granger Face on the back+ her hair as extra part), Shaklebolt, Hagrid, a Bike, two Deatheaters - actually Voldemort would have to be included aswell. Then a thestral and a Bike - which wouldn´t need many parts really. I don´t see why they should build several roadsigns, which are only sidebuilds. They might do one or two, max. Still way to few parts for the number of Minifigures. And the tunnel, well I just don´t see it happening

Well you said, you are not a fan, don´t see how that could offend anyone. Not everyone needs to like the same stuff, then things would get pretty boring. I don´t think Lego isn´t bringing back the themes because they didn´t sell well. I mean, there is a reason they seem to make more sets like that now, but sadly they seem to focus mainly on adults with them, than to try to make ones for childs also.

I doubt they would make such a Set. First of all it would need way to many minifigures, even if you wouldn´t include all of them (which obviously wouldn´t happen anyways). Then you don´t have much to show in this set, as the battle was mainly in the Air I think (might be there is some usefull scene but I really remember there beeing one).

As I wrote earlier, they would sell well also if it were just the same. But some more details would increase the sales. I mean, even if it were the same, there are enough people that can´t /don´t want to afford the set and would be happy to get the minifigures. And honestly, a lot of people would buy them just as investment.

Dumbledore is still the same Dumbledore, even if he was played by two actors. But I get what you mean. Anyways my point was just that they would need more detailed versions of the minifigures. And yes, they could make different versions. You could do Gandalf the White, Merry with Rohan and Pippin with Guard Armor. So yeah, there are different clothings for them, but you don´t actually need them for the series to become a sucess IMO

In the Harry Potter Series you also had Harry, Ron, Hermione, Luna, and Dumbledore in both Series (Harry actually even 3 times) which you also have in the Sets, and especially the 3 main characters thousand times. It matters how they are made. They would need to be different from the ones in Rivendell. (Athough, they would likely even sell if they were just the same) But the more detailed they are the more they would sell.

Well. Actually I would hope they won´t put Orcs or such in that Series. And no Gondor or Rohan Armor. That would just end bad IMO. For that they should make Army packs. Well you can always make new Knighst, new historical Figures etc, bring old figures from old themes back etc. So yeah there should be enough ideas
