LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Black Falcon replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Just because someone is a fan of the Films doesn´t mean he would read the books afterwards. Same as not every Fan of the books watched the movies (though likely, the later is the smaller group of that two). And people that are fans of the films would want the 4 kids, I guess many preferably in battle attire. Sure, for others it might not make much difference if they get Peter and co. or other characters (though it is to be seen how they will look in the new movies) and if the Netflix Movie becomes well received, maybe not so much either, but that is just still unknown. -

In the end it is hard to say how well something sells though. To stick with your example Orthanc would probably sell mostly to Lord of the Rings fans, while a Prancing Pony would be way more usefull to Castle fans than that black tower. That was actually his point ;) -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours

I wouldn´t mind a Narnia one either., but have basically two problems with this. First, Netflix is starting at an other part than the old Films, which is Chronological the first and basically tells the backstory of the other films, but that probably wouldn´t be what people were looking for when they want Narnia figures. They would expecte the 4 Kids, the white Queen, Mr. Tumnus, Caspian and of course Aslan. And that one is basically the second Problem I see, I am not sure if they would include a Lion in a CMF, though it should fit in the box. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Black Falcon replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I would guess it will be something, that already is well known and popular as a franchise. And while the Story of the Odyssey surely is well known, it is just a movie based on that story and noone knows how that will received really. To quote myself: It is not about violence per se, but really, but basically what I mean, all other franchises of course contain violence, but Street Fighter is mainly just about that. Well, see above. But really aside from that, sure it isn´t impossible to happen still. But Shrek would still be way more plausible to me, as it would be for Kids and Adults, while Street Fighter would probably more be targeted towards adults - and then I would also wonder if it wouldn´t make more sense to base a Street FIghter CMF on the Games rather than a Movie? Yeah, I think they wouldn´t call that a new License. And Probably they would rather make a CMF to the main Films than to the new movies, or a mixed one like with HP/Fantastic Beasts, though some Characters will be in both anyways, but aside from Gollum and Gandalf probably look different. -
Very likely,yes.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours

D&D is about Adventure and you usually fight the evil there. And generally it isn´t more violent than Castle or Pirates and all of them are no Match for Star Wars. The difference to Street fighter is though, that one is basically only about two people fighting each other in the streets. No Story, no Adventure, no nothing (and sure the film will have some kind of Story, but as far as I am aware the Game doesn´t) -
Well, as long as the chocolatier used dark chocolate for the eyes I am good with it ;)

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Black Falcon replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I´ve never even heard from the first and am not sure how popular it really is especially to kids nowadays. Had to Google it and seems like a think especially in the US. Streetfighter seems like a quite violent choice IMO, and again, probably not really something the target audience would care that much about. They´ve done the same with other licenses though, where they could have also done playsets and didn´t. But who knows if it is Shrek, a CMF doesn´t mean there can´t be also playsets. His own I would bet. IMO he would be to big to be just an accessory. I would actually hope for something similar to the horse mould, just smaller. Probably no movable legs, but a movable head would be great. It was stated it would be a new License, so we can rule that one out. Well, that can really mean anything. We don´t even know if the one that wrote that comment knows what it will be and just wanted to be sure, or that some other sources already hinted towards something, or one of them stated that the film it would be based on was changed. Looking at what movies we can expect this year (well or next) Shrek seems like one of the more plausible themes to me, all the others are either not really suitable for a CMF (because most of the characters are animals), had already Sets, are probably not popular enough or their license should be elsewhere (else I would have said an Asterix CMF would also have a good chance) -
LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Black Falcon replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I am not sure that would work. I mean, if that rail is flexible and you bend it up or downwards, that would also influense the gaps between the teeth. Sure, to some extend that would still work, but looks more like normal bending of some assambled plates to me. -

I really don´t think that that many people are paying those high prices really, especially compared to the amount of people that would buy a cheaper one from Lego. And actually the number of people that own that Set anyways is way higher than of those that are buying it for that price, so some people having no demand for it is there anyways, though some would probably still buy a new version if done well. -
Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Black Falcon replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah, but the PAB wanted to have them, and they got them in the end, seems unlikely to me that they will remove them before the parts themselves retire, but of course you can never be 100% sure. In the end if they didn´t want to have them on PAB they wouldn´t have put them there, but they agreed to the compromise to have them there, but just to a later time. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 29. Rumors and discussion

Same here, looks good but not for me. When the leaker got his hands on one fig, it seems likely he got them on other too, so likely dropping them one after another to generate more clicks. -
2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Black Falcon replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Retiring earlier doesn´t have to mean they won´t make more Sets though, actually they still had normal shelf lives, even if they were supposed to last longer (Renegade lasted one year and the Town Square almost two years), and actually there are also more factors for them to decide whether a set will be retired or not, and Medieval Town Square had a lot parts that were unique to this set (especially the minifig torsos, the shield), also including parts it would have to keep in production because of the retiring LKC. That is definitely what I think was the case for the Blacktron Renegade, maybe not as much for the Town Square, but in the end only Lego really knows of course. But that could also mean that those Sets can have good overall sales that make it worth to keep doing them, but also to not keep them on the shelves for a longer period. -

The Geodes were only included in the Smart Play test Sets IMO, so it was actually surprising they were included at all, as well as the animals from those sets. -
2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Black Falcon replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
He was talking about the tax collector and that one won´t restock, unless they find some leftover parts. But at this point even that seems unlikely. Well, of course it is, but in the end that is how BDP works, Sets may have to be changed according to production plan changes. And on the other side, Sets were also allowed to use some parts that were not in the palete when the designers polish their models. -
2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Black Falcon replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Whatever retro set we are getting, if any, a release in the second half of the year seems likely, given there was not even the slightes rumour yet. And, sure a release together with the GWP seems not unlikely, since it surely would push up sales on release. I could also see them releasing the GWP first and then a second time together with the Set, like they did with Lion Knights Castle. Must be a thing in the US then, here he was one of the first figures that was sold out (the torso at least, I think the legs lasted longer, but are also sold out for a long time now). -

Black Falcon replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
The shields (actually including all Lion Knights shields) got discounted tough, aswell as the Forestmen parts. The Bardings are also still not sold out (at least last time I checked) aswell as other parts that just aren´t sold out yet. -

I think if they would make Smaug, then it would be in an Erebor Set, so there would be no way it would be that big. Well I have seen people seen taking worse choices, especially considering what your doubles are worth nowadays ;). -
LEGO Pokémon 2026 - Rumours & Discussion
Black Falcon replied to BrickBob Studpants's topic in LEGO Licensed
Or it is simply showing some people breaking out from their boring every days life and fixed procedures, meeting up with some old friends and having some fun. That doesn´t mean that they have to ditch their jobs or anything. I like some of their movable designs, Charizard, Magikarb and its Evolution look good, but most of the rest just doesn´t (to me), including the several Pikachus they made. That beeing said both Companies have several Designers, so the quality of the Design varies from Set to Set (and in the end of course also lies in the eye of the beholder). They were actually pretty honest about it, the Terms for the GWP clearly stated that it would be avaiable again for release. -
2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Black Falcon replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Ah, yes, I forgot about that one. It isn´t confirmed of course, but based on other GWPs it should come this year. Rather the other way around, they are still in BDP because they will be used again in a Set I bet. I just think it is unlikely they keep minifigures around just for BDP, after all they never were the final designs and others got their minifigs switched for that very reason. The other retiring parts were discounted to sell off, which didn´t happen to the Wolfpack and Lion Knights Parts. -
2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Black Falcon replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Most of the parts that are exclusive for the MTS are retired now though ;) I would actually think that, especially "display model" doesn´t make it likely it will be a retro Set, all of them have been playsets so far. If it would be a castle GWP with actual Minifigures I would actually be happy to get at least that - but I take it is just a guess, because I haven´t seen any rumours about that one either? -

Black Falcon replied to Momotof's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Well for sure they wouldn´t be worried about any of thos things, it was more that they might want to have more diversity between the sets. So far the sets we got were quite different, from the Playscale Rivendell, to Barad-Dûr and then Bagend both from the overall design and the general look. Moria is definitely on my list of more Iconic Locations that I think are likely to happen in the next years, together with Helms Hold, Meduseld, Orthanc... And I don´t think the Booknook will be an issue here, as both are very different builds and the soonest it could show up is next, when the booknook is said to retire anyways. -
2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Black Falcon replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
We don´t even know if that is coming, so it can´t get canceled really. But given the Lion Knight´s and Wolfpack didn´t disappear from Pick a Brick, I am pretty sure something is coming. Whether that is a Joust or something else will probably leak somewhen in the near future. Or another castle for another faction. I am not saying a Joust is unlikely, but just as people think there were hints towards a Joust Set people are thinking the same for a Black Knights Castle. In the end Lego does a lot references to past themes so it doesn´t have to mean anything. What actually speaks against a Joust Set is that the Barding got retired, while the Minifigures are still around. Which leak do you mean? -

Black Falcon replied to Momotof's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I wouldn´t be surprised if we see Orthanc shortly after Barad-Dûr is retired, so 2028 seems like a likely date, however I don´t think they will touch Helms Deep so short after Minas Tirith. Both are just to similar I think. Not in the overall look or the build, but both are two of the most important locations in the films where big battles happened, it would yet again be probably a rather big Set and it would be two fortresses after another. I just think we would get a smaller Set again next, especially after such a big Set like Minas Tirith. -

Downgrade, from an adult point of view maybe, as especially the Joust Set and the Main castle are maybe a bit more towards a realistical castle (and the Joust wasn´t made that often either and Fantasy Era´s was just a small set anyways). But I don´t actually think that the 2013 Castle series was all that bad for kids. I mean the fact that it had Dragons again after Fantasy Era and I do actually like that Castle. The only thing that really looks bad to me are the Siege Engines of the Dragon Faction - and well the Wizards Tower could use some more bricks. Edoras would be my guess. There are plenty of options of course but at least Edoras (well the Hall only really) would allow them to make a smaller Set again after Minas Thirith, which I wouldn´t expect to happen with most of the other options.
