Rogue Redcoat

First, I love the dark red on the back, it almost looks like it has a Ninjago or Asian pirate look. I have a few suggestions, First on the palm tree it looks as if there is a gap towards the bottom (I know I'm just being picky) other than this if the green coats are going to fly that flag there going to need matching colored coats (blue!). The rest of the build looks great. Anyway, Happy building :)

I 100% agree we need more pictures, please @BrickCommander9:) My other suggestions are to rid of the 1x2 dark red bricks ()this gives it more of a 2015 look) and as @iragm suggested use the 1x1 round plates or the Plate, Round 1 x 2 with Open Studs: Part 35480 | BrickLink in dark red of course. My only other comments are to add 1x1 slopes Slope 30 1 x 1 x 2/3 : Part 54200 | BrickLink in yellow to the top of the tower, other than this the build looks awesome (although the build need minifigures!). I see what you mean, sometimes I get caught up between the Lego look and the darker colors that they have introduced with POTC and sail colors in the Imperial flag ship :)

Can you please consider posting the pictures again under the MOC part of the forum if you still want to disqualify yourself :(

I can't quite see the hammock too well but it looks like he is about to fall out, is he even attached to it? My only other suggestion is a place to hide the treasure chest (maybe in a rock formation). Anyway, Happy building :)

I changed it with the box image that I made (the last one listed up top), more updated images will be coming soon :)

It looks great now with some brighter colors, my only other suggestions are to add a bit more brown to complement the rowboat (if you stick with that color) and the steering wheel. Also for the figurehead add a skeleton head back (where did it go!), anyway, happy building :)

I mostly agree with @Elephant Knight on this one the colors do look a little drab, although 9 times out of 10 I would go with a darker color for a MOC, I think since it is a remake it could use a little more color. The only other thing I would add is a row boat on the back of the ship (like the original), other than this I would love to see more photos of your ship with minifigures and sails. I say this because I takes me 4 weeks to make one entry others are more on the ball than I am and faster at pumping them out :)

I think that you should just keep with the current building category and the extra prizes should be second and third (after all there are only 4 weeks left).

It looks great I love all the updates, I would just change the 1x6 plate in the cabin to the same color as the floor, that's it :)

Looks great overall and is a nice refresh from the old set, here are some of my suggestions, first the palm leaves over the cannon might want to be moved to access the gun. Second, the wall near the cannon needs more of a chipped and broken look or at least throw in another color. Onto the bridge, I think this should go since there's nowhere to place the mini figures. Lastly, I want to see more, add a few more photos of the side/back, and add some of a back story to the build. Anyway, Happy building :)

Thank you for your suggestions, I think that the rockwork will be changed as you suggested, I will also make the exposed brickwork more prominent but also leave some areas with just a little. As for other images I am working on a box art one right now and looking to add some of a story to the build. Thank you again and keep posted for more coming images :) Thanks for the comments, as for the 2 parts of the build I also saw this afterward and will soon go back and fix it. Now on to the yellow, I have never really liked this color on the old builds, and when I saw that there was less on Eldarado Fortress I figured there should be less on my build too. This is just "v1" of my entry there will be more images soon :)

I love all the little scenes, and how massive it is :)

Now that the rules were clarified here are my suggestions, I would like to see the small ship partially in the water and not just hovering on top, a full alligator, and maybe some more waves for this entry. Also, you could add a bit more of a back story to the build what has changed (like where did the second pirate show up from), and things like that. Anyway, Happy building :)

I love the idea to include a small boat with some pirates, for the boat I would try to make the bow a little more curved (and maybe add a small figurehead). As for the colors try and continue the white stripe around the front and I think it might look better if it were just 1 brick width and not 2 for the stripe. Anyway, Happy building :)

There are some magazines at Barnes and Noble sometime where I live but there not that great, and they stopped selling the "Blocks" one :(

This is awesome and although it looks more like a moc than a Lego set there is still a strong resemblance. Since we are talking about a Lego set here I would remove the water and replace it with some light blue bricks like in Pirates of Barracuda Bay. Second, I want a few more images of the back of the build. Lastly, although I like the brick build boat I would replace it with a molded row boat and add a full crocodile. Anyway, Happy building :)

This looks great, here are my suggestions, first I think your problem with the 2015 look could be fixed by swapping some of the light blue with the dark blue. Second, although I like how the crew double as pirates I think they should stay pirates and not crew members. I think a nice jail cell to lock the pirates up in for the storage hold in front and back would be a nice touch. And as @Horation said, the cabin needs a bit more gold to "spiff" up the cabin. Overall it's a nice build and I think the only reason Lego did not come out with this set is because they already had a big redcoat ship a few years earlier (but Lego is always looking to make money so Idk).
