  1. Night theme would be cool. Especially if they used GitD. Maybe we could get a lightning bug!
  2. Somehow completely missed the other colors. I was more focused on the green. So yeah, I'm definitely going with a Space theme.(though a disease/germ based tribe would still be fun...)
  3. So what is the Glorp Corp? Like, what's their theme? If they're illness-based or something (runny noses and such), could that make Nurp Naut a bubble boy? Otherwise I'm going with space. Which, judging by the round space helmet-like face and antenna it's completely likely.
  4. Space Mixel! Yay!
  5. You could throw in some of Stringer's dark blue transparent shells to balance out the body. May look cool with two shades of blue as well. As it is, though, the added trans parts look great. And the mace is very fitting. Good job!
  6. Man. When was our last collectable? I want to say the Kanoka Disks. I guess you could say Rhotuka, but there really wasn't a drive to get them (that I can remember) as opposed to the Kanoka Disks which had the Great Disks. Then there were Zamor and Squid packs, but those were just extra ammo. Well, I guess there were multiple colors of Rhotuka, but those colors didn't really serve a storyline purpose...
  7. In regards to Bara Magna, I kinda liked it. It was something new and fresh after Toa and Matoran every year. So I guess the pseudo-reboot they were trying to pull worked on me. Though a lot of concepts I didn't like. Sisters of the Skrall just seemed weird and pointless, and the Element Lords just didn't sit right with me. Other than that, I liked the whole Gladiator thing they had going. And the environment with the Prototype Robot pieces strewn about everywhere was cool, too. And now that the planet is reformed, I'm really hoping for a continuation just so we can stick around on the planet. And if it's set far enough in the future, I'd like to see a combination of environments from previous years. We could have Mata-Nui-esque regions with smaller villages, but also large Metru-like cities here and there.
  8. So you're talking 3 masks per set? That would be cool. But mask packs would still be the best. And less expensive.
  9. I'd imagine there's two of the same mask in the Toa sets with one being gold. It'd just seem awkward to get, say, Tahu and have a red Hau but a gold Miru. Random Kanohi for the Defenders or spare Kanohi for all the sets is still a possibility, though.
  10. I'm more bummed they're using the 2.0 torso shell. The Breakout torso would seem much more appropriate: more detailed and also featuring a segmented abdomen reminiscent of the Toa Mata bodies. Not to mention, that'd give us non-printed versions of those pieces.
  11. Even with it pointed out, I have a hard time seeing the Mata Nui symbol on the mask. I mean, yeah, I can see it, but it looks way out of proportion. The "legs" are far too short, for instance. Honestly, I think it's just shadows on the ridges of the mask: between the eyes and nose, above the eyebrows, etc.
  12. *AHEM* http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=97374 Been discussing it or the past few pages. Exciting, nonetheless.
  13. Glad to hear it's most likely "Wind" on the box. Been watching Avatar: TLA, and it's making me want to see a return of our Toa Airbender. Though I had an idea. If he is Jungle, it's possible they could just scrap Air as an element and change the Miru to have Air powers. Mask of Wind has a nice ring to it.
  14. New Gatling gun. Seen on this: http://brickset.com/...Wookiee-Gunship It was discussed before. (I thought it was a Cordak Blaster, too, oddly enough) EDIT: Dangit, Aanch! Beat me to it. *shakes fist*
  15. But there isn't just one villain. Each set comes with a "Skull Spider". And the Lord of Skull Spiders can only be the leader. So technically, why there's only one villain set, there are still more villains than there are good guys.
  16. That was back in 2004. I don't recall ever seeing impossible bends in any recent Constraction sets. I'm skeptical about waist articulation, but the pictures and the possibility of a new torso makes me hopeful.
  17. Nothing at the regular stores. Not a bother for me as I'm going to the Lego Store on the 1st. But if anyone was hoping to find them at TRU, Target, or Walmart, don't get your hopes up.
  18. GUYS! It might be a trick of the camera, but... Look at the Defenders. Does it look like there's a twist in their abdomen? Like, their shoulders don't line up with their waist? Hopes might be clouding my vision, but... Waist articulation...?
  19. ... Now that there's this, I don't really mind if we don't get a Comic Con reveal.
  20. Alrighty. The defenders all look pretty nice, and the same masks doesn't really bother me. They all have enough differences to set them apart, but the same mask makes them seem more like a team. The Toa all look great. Seems like there's also some more detailed pieces (Tahu's lavaboard) alongside the regular CCBS. I like. And the weapons aren't too bad either. Onua with a hammer seems quite fitting. Specific things I noticed: Fire Defender has a shoulder mounted gun that looks like a Cordak Blaster. Onua appears to have a larger chest (definitely still the "strong man"). The Defender's masks look like Jaller Mahri's mask (forgot the name). Can't really say much else that hasn't been said.
  21. WELP! Color me excited. Still think it's a hoax, Dorek? Anywho. Like what I'm seeing. I'll take a closer, longer look before posting more. But seeing this makes me so nostalgic of seeing the Bionicle leaks every year from back in the day...
  22. I... Like them both equally? Let's see, Bionicle automatically gains points for its nostalgia factor. I grew up with it. That's pretty much all I did as a kid was play with Bionicle. And, I enjoyed the story. Well, for the most part. The original 2001-2003 was the best, in my opinion. 04-05 was good. Love 2006. Didn't much care for the later years. Regardless, the story kept making me ask what'll happen next and wondering how everything's going to end. So while story creativity wasn't that great, I did enjoy the immersive tale it spun. In terms of story, Hero Factory basically does the opposite, but in a way that works. It essentially has no solid story. And I like that just as much as I liked Bionicle's solid story. It's hard to describe. I feel like I need to build a connection to the characters. Bionicle already did that with its established story. But HF is so open that you kinda have to build the characters yourself (no pun intended). And I must say, I had a lot of fun giving the characters... Well, character. Moreover, just look at the names. Bionicle. Biological Chronicle. It's a theme about the story. Hero Factory. Factory. You get to build the story. So I guess it all depends on where you find enjoyment. Do you enjoy following a story, or do you enjoy making a story? (personally, I like both, but that's just me)
  23. I saw IFB Wave 1 at Walmart, like... Once? Then they re-organized and I haven't seen anything Hero Factory since. Moreover, Target has a select few Wave 1 sets (some machines and Splitter, if I'm not mistaken). TRU has everything. Seems that's where to go for Hero Factory (aside from Lego Stores, of course). Luckily they're not marked up. What's worse is that I live around multiple Walmarts and Targets. And they're all like this. Walmart with zip, Target: barely anything. And it's sad because I used to be able to go anywhere and pick up the sets. Now I have to go all the way to TRU to buy them (and TRU is the farthest away).
  24. An unmarked display? *crosses fingers*
  25. Any sightings at TRU (or other stores, for that matter)? I'm going tomorrow and hope to pick up some of the sets. Considering TRU usually gets sets earlier than other stores, I figure chances are good. Otherwise, I'll be going to a Lego Store on the first and I'll pick some up then.
