No, no, I understand just fine what you're saying. Yeah, that'd be a pretty easy way of storing the axle. I just prefer finding fixes that don't require any introduction of parts not included in the set. I always had a problem with "You can fix this, but you need parts you may or may not have". Luckily, the piece you're talking about is common enough (and I have plenty) that it shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks Aanch, for the wonderful overview of new parts. Honestly, for those feeling the new Bionicle is too "Hero Factory" the colors alone set itself apart from what we got in the past. So many lovely recolors. That and new molds of course. Also, I just noticed in your Comic Con MoC that you attached Skull Spider masks to basic socket joints. I had a feeling this was possible considering the new heads are the same width as said piece, but it's nice to have some confirmation that the masks aren't completely useless outside of being masks.

That seems... Really unstable. Honestly, I wouldn't worry too much. I can see a lot of open axle holes to where it'd be easy to find storage for it without needing any extra parts. Especially on the hammer itself. The parts that the shovels attach to: just rotate one of them downward and put the axle into it. Simple storage and out of the way.

Good to see Tahu lives up to his reputation. I'll definitely be moving those shoulder pads to the torso shoulder balljoints a la Kopaka's shoulders. Seems a bit gappy as-is. Actually, could we get a shot of that? I'd like to see how it looks.

I'm seeing it tomorrow! I can't wait, the movie looks fantastic. I shouldn't get my hopes up, though. I did that with Frozen, and it turned out to be pretty bad in my opinion. Wreck-it-Ralph is still one of my favorite Disney movies, so we'll see if BH6 tops it.

Bulky Onua looks fantastic. I must say, I much prefer the claws over the hammer. Plus, it gives him a cool smokestack (I envision the Earth tribe as inventors and machinists, so a smokestack seems fitting). And I think the shoulder pads look cool with the claws. Kinda reminiscent of Stormer XL's drones he had on his arms.

Great review! I think Kopaka looks fantastic, and I don't really mind the weapons. Or the giant legs, for that matter.

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham (Video Game Discussion)

Oh hey, Nolan movie Ra's. Looks pretty good. And Raven confirmed? Yessss.... Don't have Starfire yet, do we? -
I guess. I need some time with them before I make a decision. Not sure about my favorite mask. The Kaukau is growing on my considerably, surprisingly. Also, thanks for the pic, DV! The Pakari is shockingly small... At least it looks cool.

Indeed. A comparison shot with all the incarnations would be great.

After those three, I'd probably go Pohatu, Gali, Lewa. The Kakama has the right shape, and the vents mimic the cheek slits. The Kaukau has a similar design, but overall seems like a stylized version of the Mata Kaukau. The Miru seems the most altered. It has it's smile, but the added vents and segmented look on the face sets it apart from the original.

It's not so bad. At least it doesn't look out of proportion compared to the rest of him (as far as proportion can go for a guy with shoulders that wide :P ).

Whoo man. Tahu looks great. Little gappy in his shoulders and hips, but otherwise. He's fantastic. Comparison pic, please? (I'm sure there'll be one for the review, but I'd like to see).

Not much, I don't think. We got some images of Tahu's expressions from the animations via Bionicle's Facebook. And we should be seeing set reviews (official ones) of the three largest Toa soon. BZP already has Kopaka's up.

I'm not sure if they're combiners, necessarily. More-so just powered up versions of the Toa. Hopefully we'll see proper combiners (Kaita!) later on.

He's been gone for a while. I know (some) sets from this year didn't have him. I kinda want to see a "where are they now" segment with screaming kid. I wonder if he's still winning. Anywho, good to see Kopaka's review is up. Haven't watched/read it, but I will soon.

Actually, we don't know for certain what color the MoUP is. Throughout the animation, it's blacked out in shadow with reddish flames, but whether or not those red flames are indicative of the mask's color remains to be seen. But that's getting ridiculously technical... While on the subject, I actually think it'd be cool if the flames were actually part of the mask. Having something like the Protectors' masks with a trans and opaque blend would be sweet. Black mask blended with trans red flames? <3 (also, I find it neat that it has six spikes coming off it. Made from six elements: has six spikes. May be a coincidence, but I think it's cool)

I agree with Leewan. It's definitely a shipping issue. Sorry to hear about your bad luck though, Aanch. Luckily, retail shipments are in a big cardboard box, so there should be no problems with bad packaging once the sets hit stores.

Excitement! Can't wait for the reviews. The packaging looks pretty good. I believe this is our first time seeing it, and I really do like it. Can't wait to see the sets hit shelves. It seems they're ready to hit retail. It's only a matter of time now.

I also noticed the gear, but I can't remember if I said anything... More to the point, I feel the inclusion of a gear pretty much confirms we'll get figures of them. Considering all the Protectors in the animation don't have gears on their backs, it would be a really random decision to put them on Ekimu and Makuta unless they had sets that had gearboxes. How they'd be released, I'm not sure. I do like the idea of a 2-pack, and if they're released as early as the summer (doubt it), it would give us an extra figure in the 5 set lineup. If they are Protector sized, does the gearbox piece even fit onto the XT4 body?

Geez, that was fast. Making room for Bionicle?

Woah. I, too have a love for old diving suits, so this is very neat. What did you use for the ankles? I don't recognize the piece.

Battle For The Golden Mask Competition: Discussion Thread
Kalhiki replied to VBBN's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Cultural influences are OK, right? Like if my villain sported samurai-esque armor and helmet, it's all good? for the record, my MoC isn't deliberately trying to be a samurai, I'm just using the aesthetic as inspiration. -
Oh wow. Gali looks great. The dark azure is especially nice (I think I prefer it over Mata blue), the mask looks fantastic, and the Scuba/Sub Slizer-esque chest printing is just the icing on the cake. Don't really like how wide the axe heads are, nor do I like that the shoulder armor rotates with the arm, but both are easy enough to fix. I think she may be my favorite Toa... After Pohatu, of course.

Since when is Metallo so colorful? I always thought he was shiny silver/gray.
