  1. First off, thanks for the review. And what a fantastic looking set! From colors to mask, the entire figure is gorgeous. Gali was one I wasn't sure about, but seeing her now she is a definite fav. Not sure how I feel about the leg spikes, though... Look kinda awkward.
  2. Regardless, I still would have preferred yellow :/ That's not to say it looks bad by any means. I'm pleasantly surprised with how good it does look. I just feel yellow's more suiting for Stone. It's growing on me. By the time I have the sets in hand, I won't care.
  3. Entry 1: Picture 1 Picture 2 Entry 2: Picture 1 Picture 2
  4. Icarax? I love Icarax. My favorite Bionicle set as a matter of fact. Anywho, if I hate LOSS, I'm pretty sure the function will be a redeeming factor. Looks way too addicting for its own good.
  5. Gah! BZP's LOSS review didn't help at all! I'm still on the fence. I'm going to get him if just for completionist's sake, but I don't know how much I'll like him. The function looks super addicting, and all around the figure looks good, but the lack of pose-ability is off-putting. I may end up heavily modding the figure, which I hardly ever do. I just have some good ideas to make him better. Giving him two back legs that are pose-able and two front legs that retain the grabby function ought to do the trick.
  6. Gali looks wonderful. Need to see more pictures of Pohatu before I decide which is my favorite. It's funny. It seems that no one really liked Gali (well, her mask at least) from the preliminary pictures, but it's turning out she's one of the best.
  7. I think LOSS would be much better if he had a similar design to the Visorak. He'd retain his six legs but only the front two would grab while the back four could be pose-able. Actually, I might mod him to be like that. I'll have to see him in-hand first, though.
  8. I'm not VBBN, but it looks like they all do except for Ice and Fire. The Protector of Fire looks really weird with those short arms... EDIT: Lockon Stratos, you darn ninja, you.
  9. I don't know what to think of LOSS. The 2001 Rahi comparison is nice to see, but a lack of pose-ability is sad. I guess I'll wait to see if its function is its saving grace. I have a lot of fun messing around with functions, so I can see how I'd still be able to find enjoyment in the set. 'Least the face printing doesn't look too bad. Thanks VBBN for all the wonderful pictures of the sets!
  10. Oh man. The Protector group shot is adorable. Agreed with Agent Fusion: step aside Chronicler's Company. Step aside. I think the reason they look so good is because of the colors. They're all so bright. The change to lighter colors for the Jungle, Stone and Water figures really makes them stand out. And the inclusion of purple for Earth sets adds a wonderful flare of color. Yeah. the Protectors are better than the Toa. Hands down.
  11. You have chosen the right word. Sexy is the only way to describe these guys. I'm super stoked to have these sets in hand. Not sure if the reviews are going to tide me over, or make me nuts because I have to wait. Also, in VBBN's picture, the Stone and Jungle Protector are hanging out in the background. It's blurry, but I can imagine the Protectors are going to look great displayed together as a team.
  12. Elbows are knees for your arms :P Speaking of, I've already gathered all the short bones I could possibly need for the Protectors. I will not stand for elbow-less figures (that would be wonderfully punny if I was talking about legs, but oh well). Thank you, CCBS, for being easily modifiable.
  13. Fair point. An alien race wouldn't use English (or whatever language one may speak) to describe something like, say, an animal. They'd have their own word. Like Rahi. But the issue is and always will be accessibility to new fans. Catching up on ten years of story is difficult as is. Throw in a bunch of foreign terms, and things start spiraling down the toilet. If you insist. So, new topic. What characters from the old story would you like to see return? Takanuva's been expressed (and I agree), but recently I've been thinking Sidorak. And not the pansy from Web of Shadows. Like a real, truly ruthless king. Sidorak needs a second chance.
  14. Caught me on a technicality. But I'll never modify a piece (in this case, removing the printing).
  15. Y'know what would have been nice? If Kopaka had a shield like Brain Attack Rocka's. He could have the blades he currently has, but also a round shield like old. Then the blades could be removed and used as skis, and he'd still be able to have his shield. Too bad that shield piece was never released in white. Heck, I'd even settle for silver.
  16. Makes me wonder if they all can breathe underwater or if it's Mahri Nui-esque and they need to collect air (or pump it in from the surface). Either way, it's nice to see an underwater village. But I hope there are still some surface dwellers in the Water Tribe complete with lily pad huts.
  17. I'm glad you brought this up. Everyone's complaining LOSS isn't/doesn't look like a spider, but back in the day, we had tigers and bulls that had treads instead of hind legs. :P
  18. Please hurry. I don't think I can hold on much longer.
  19. You're not alone. I'm really excited for the Protectors. Not only because I enjoy smaller-scaled figures but also because they have a good amount of trans parts and Gatling guns. And the two-toned masks (which have trans as well :D ) look phenomenal, especially the Earth Protector's with his black and trans purple blend. Yeah. The Protectors look great. Hope we get reviews soon.
  20. Before things get spoiled, can you guys who have the game please use spoiler tags? Mostly for story stuff. I'm not going to be getting the game till Christmas. It's going to be a long wait...
  21. Honestly, HF's story wasn't "simple and easy to follow". It was nonexistent. :P Okay, that's not fair. It did have a story, but it was episodic. One year didn't affect the others. It was stated Bionicle would have at least a three year story arc, so there'll definitely be more plot than HF. I understand the new story isn't headed in the direction you'd like, and that's okay. But all I can say is at least give it a shot before you write it off. Heck, when Ninjago was announced, I didn't think I'd like it too much, and it turned out I ended up loving it. EDIT: From here on, it is and ever shall be skeleballs.
  22. On the contrary, it seems you should be happy. Like you said, it won't conflict with the original canon, so you won't have to worry about the things you enjoy getting screwed up. But the story content can make you not like the new continuity. Bio15's going to be a much simpler story compared to the original, so if you liked the original story's complexity, I can see why you won't like the new story. That, and your aforementioned distaste of CCBS (aka Skeleballs, which is the best name I've ever heard for the building system).
  23. Oh yes. Question is the best. Please please please be voiced by Jeffrey Combs.
  24. Okay. Just got back from seeing it. It was fantastic. Ceroknight basically sums it up: a good mix of humor and action. Characters were all fun, the story was good, and the music was pretty swell too. Still not sure if it tops Wreck-it-Ralph, though. I'll need to see it again (probably when it comes out on Blu-Ray). The short at the beginning was also lovely and very cute. Better than Paperman if you ask me. Oh, and be sure to stick around after the credits ;)
  25. Hey, not too bad. The mech is cute, and the set has a little robo dog. Wait, what is that? Is that... A grappling hook missle launcher?
