Heroica RPG - Quest #4: Taming the Lions
Tanma replied to Brickdoctor's topic in The Heroica Archive
De'kra turns his attention to Tomas, his entire body quivering. A thick storm of clicking emerges from his mouth, all incoherent to the group. The shade seems almost more terrified by Tomas's words, and his dagger trembles from his body's vibrations. This is the face of fear, but of what? Can any of the group gleam something from De'kra's actions and comments on the quest? -

The shade continues to speak only in clicks and gear sounds, his motions becoming increasingly frantic and paranoid. There is something in his eyes, the face of pure terror. OOC: This is part of De'kra's character development, so interaction would be appreciated. -

De'kra's clicking intensifies as the cleric heals him, and he begins to back away, his eyes darting back and forth. The shade holds his daggers in front of him, ready to strike if need be. It might occur to the heroes that De'kra hasn't spoken since the battle ended, at least not in their tongue... -

I can forgive them for resurrecting Fett, since he was a side character in the movie and his death didn't affect much. But Maul revealed that Sith still existed in the galaxy, and hinted at the existence of a "master." And again, Obi-wan was the first anyone to kill a Sith in generations, don't remove that from his stats. Aside from that all He has is that he trained Anikan, survived the Jedi purge, became a Force Ghost, was Luke's first teacher, killed General G, and resisted the urge that Anikan succumbed too(love). -

De'kra's cloak refills as he returns to the land of the living. As he starts to stand up, the shade begins to speak in a series of clicks and whirling gear sounds. Suddenly hiseyes grow wide, as he looks around. His clicking begins to increase in speed and volume, as his eyes dart from one hero to another. His body trembles as he looks over his hands and the bodies of the heroes, and he begins to tifghten his grip on his dagger... -
The Mopag have flesh toned skin, though they use the big eyed clone wars heads; so it should be fine.

Read the rules, put your character's stats in your signature, and then post your character arriving in the hall. That should be it, unless I have forgotten a step.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 4 Discussion

And thus I now know that Lucas has gone to the dark side. The only way I will accept Maul is if it is a Holocrum or however you spell the Sith ghost artifact things. Maul was cut in half and fell down an impossibly deep pit. He is dead. That was why Obi-wan didn't have to take the trials, he had been the first Jedi in generations to kill a Sith. I may be annoyed with the potrayel of Anikian, but Obi-wan is where I draw the line. -
That is a bit much of a reward, though the tournament idea is interesting. I don't think levels is the best way to divide them, since some quests are longer than others. Maybe the number of quests they have been on would be better?

I thought of it thanks to all the romance/tension in the hall. I figure that the Veterans won't want all the heroes to slaughter each other over disagreements, so they might try to control the fights with organized battles. That way tension can be eased, and the hall doesn't get lit on fire. Of course the fights can be merely friendly or to train, but I can see some a barbarian and a cleric using it to settle disagreements...
-
Would it be possible to have a training room of sorts in the hall? Somewhere for heroes to battle against their fellows, and improve their skills. That way people who weren't chosen for quests have something to do, and learn a little more about battling. Of course there would have to be rules to prevent people from using it to level up quick, but could this work?

He isn't quite dead yet, I rebuilt his destroyed arm and legs using a Vahki waist, silver Bohrok feet, and a Barraki jaw, the latter acting as his right arm. So he still exists as a Cyborg, but since I altered his parts he typically was created in 2009, not 2001.

Oh, sorry for misunderstanding. By the way, is that a Spore avatar?

Since Lego figures can change clothes, could you just use the same face and have the character use a completely different costume?

Heroica RPG - Quest #4: Taming the Lions

OOC: De'kra used up his potion some time ago, otherwise I would have used it before I had died. De'kra clothes lay flat on the battlefield, lifeless and empty. Though the salty scent has faded away, De'kra had not yet returned to the world of mortals. -
This came up recently, I believe you can change weapons without wasting a turn. Hopefully this will help.

Personally I don't see how a color can be villainous, last I heard colors weren't self aware. But on the matter of villains, why not make one gold and purple? Those two colors can be associated with kings, which could work well if the villain leader rules his own planet.

Just curious, but do certain neutral houses have closer ties than others? For instance, since Ji Pei and Shadeaux are not rivals, might they be work together to surpass their respective competitors? In short, are there alliances in the houses?
-
Good to know, De'kra will probably side with the Guild then. Not that the city necessarily is headed towards war between fractions of course. By the way, were there different houses in the past? We know different houses cameo power at different times, and the city is ever changing, so is it possible that some houses died out over the ages?

Is there a difference between Alchemy and magic here? Historically Alchemy is more of a pseudoscience, rather than magically. Does that describe the two arts accurately?

That gives me hope, if Bionicle's "grandfather" which lasted for two years at most can still be remembered, than Bionicle itself will not be forgotten. Never forget!

The Ranger/Rogue fusion looks better than I had dreamed, though I am worried how good an assassin De'kra can be with his luck with the dice. Curse you Mercutio, I blame you for De'kra's poor luck.

Heroica RPG - Quest #4: Taming the Lions

The mist of tear scent started to expand, like a massive wildfire in a dry savannah. The scent of salt soon overpowered every other smell, spreading into the very minds of all who would take a whiff. The smell was sad, like that of a child whose back lay bleeding by its parent's blows. It was a flood of emotion, though its thoughts were unrecognizable to the word of man. -
De'kra won't be snapping back to attention even after the battle ends. He will return to the land of mortals, but he might be a little...smaller than he is now. And I don't mean in stature.

Where De'kra had disappated a thick smell emerged, that of tears. The salty scent of mortal rain hung through the battlefield, as a sweet song of mourning whispered into the combatant's ears. It was distinctly not the feel of death, but of something far more lonely and terrible.
