Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 4 Discussion
Tanma replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Exactly, in the attack of the clones(which has a really misleading title) he goes and slaughters an entire tribe of Sand People. I am not saying they didn't deserve it, but it still showed his rash aggressive side. Well in truth the council wanted Anakin to spy on the Empire, I think Obi-wan wasn't too comfortable with it either. Personally I believe the reason Obi-wan didn't finish off Anakin by his own blade was the same reason Luke couldn't kill Vader in the 6th movie; it would have sent him over to the Dark Side. Likewise Luke couldn't kill Jacen in the Legacy Era for the same reason. -

I don't even understand why Anakin would get an apprentice. No Sith can cloud the Jedi's minds that much, someone has to realize that Anakin can't be trusted to be a good role model for a Jedi. He cares to much about others, he was trained too late in life, and he frequently disobeys the council. It just seems to me like the real reason Asoka exists is to have a younger character for the younger fans. -
Heroica RPG - Quest #4: Taming the Lions

De'kra nodded, and wondered how to proceed. In all honesty his interactions with Sapient races had never gotten so complex. To the group he clicked, "You think elves think that Heroes and I distraction clue or just distrust? Maybe Lion Knights use disguise? Also, heroes and I know elves no like strangers, they will not work with outsiders like Lion Knights. They not heroes and I enemies, not now. Heroica and Elves fight each other, Lion Knights win. But Heroica and Elves help another, Heroica and Elves win. Not battle, could still trade information. Maybe ask elves why they choose to guard R'Kilf? Other places like Mopag forest attacked, why protect here? Maybe in exchange for knowledge, heroes and I give lion dagger, might heroes and I kept it. Elves might learn something of dagger we not learn." -
Will the library be updated with the maps and information on quest 4? I think the nations and races we have learned of, like the Elves that live in Brobric and the Mopags of the forest, are general enough for the library. Not to mention if someone does a future quest in Mopag, they would want to potray the races accurately.

De'kra nods at the guards' words, as there was a logic to them. "Elves have point," he clicked softly to the group, "Guide, you have symbol of office? Elves might know of raids on you people, realize heroes and I not foes. Or not safe for you, no show it. I not know political landscape, you might. Sorry for speech bad." -
Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 4 Discussion

I got the feeling that it was like the Makuta of Bionicle. The Makuta all were subordinate to Teridax(once he took over), though many of them had their own goals. Their fear of his power, whether his direct strength or his more zealous followers, kept them in line. However, when a Makuta felt like they could get away with something, because Teridax was distracted or crippled; they might attempt a scheme of their own. Case in point, Krika spared Miserax despite his death sentance. So if given a chance Dooka would try something, but as long as his master watches him he will put on the persona of a diligant student. Keep in mind I have watched practically nothing of the Clone Wars, so this information is based on Episodes II and III and my own judgement. -

De'kra marvels at the speed and grace of the elves, so quick yet so well controlled. The shade decides to keep quiet for the moment, since he can not tell how they would take his accent. He had to talk in Heroica, as communication with his fellow workers was inevitable. But here it might only damage relations with the elves. -

Agreed, if they can assault Coruscant in a major attack, and kidnap the Chancellor; the CIS should be doing great. Plus they are viewed in a negative light every time. By Episode III, Padme ponders if somewhere along the way the heroes got on the wrong side of the war. That implies one, the CIS has good points, and two; the Republic is growing more and more morally corrupt. By the way, what happen to the apprentice that shouldn't be anyway? Unless Lucas majorly changed Episode III, she should be dead or hone by then. -
Just curious, but are there plans for a bank in the hall? You could store some of your money there, and not worry about hostile rogues and other foes from stealing all your hard earned funds.

De'kra nodded, as he was ready to continue on. Still, the short shade wondered what the residents of R'Kilf would be like. The denizens of one city was made of elves, and Mopag of pink skinned creatures. So would R'Kilf be dominated by one particular race? -
Interesting design, I don't recall seeing 1.0 feet used in that way before. If it has no head, how does it see? Echolocation, sonar, radar; what? Either way something about it's body just works, the only concern I have about it is that the forearms won't be able to bend, limiting it's movements.

De'kra clicked, "Path to R'Kilf fast, less foes or-yes Mopag Forest. Who lives at R'Kilf? What heroes and I need to prepare for encountering the natives? Any tips you have?" -

In order to alienate them? I don't like Jar Jar, it's just...everything about him. There is only one way Jar Jar can be tolerable, and that is in the Darths and Droids comic. -
Interesting technique, I never would have thought to use hands in that way. Was it frustrating having to line up all those hands?

De'kra nods as the group readies to continue their journey. "How many nights it take to R'Kilf? R'Kilf have store? -
No rush, any minute not in a quest is a minute I don't fail in combat.
-
Well I did finish off the barbarian with a critical hit. But yeah, in all the prior fights De'kra ever got hit, missed, or the foe was defeated before his turn. He has not had the best luck in combat.

Makes sense, part limitation hurts even the best. Still, I can't help but feel that it could use more red and lime green.

I wonder if there is a parallel universe in real life, where Bionicle didn't end in 2010. We would have just gotten the sixth Bionicle movie now, Mata-Nui and Makuta might have just had an epic showdown in movie form, and Baterra would have been a 2010 set. Tarduk might not have had any role in 2010, but still might have linked up his quest with Mata-Nui's in Bota-Magna. The heroes of the Matoran Universe would have to resist much longer, and by its end even the most cheerful Toa would be war hardened and bitter. Anything could have happened, but I would got was a story intitled Journey's End and some serials that need updating.

No, you will reveal my pro-Bionicle agenda! ...well Bionicle did have 21 civilians from 2001 to 2003(not count'ting the Bohrok Va), and with Kanohi masks you could create a infinite number of villagers. Then there was seven the next year if you count Dume, all with the same mix and match mask feature. The next year we had no one(Unless Turaga Lihkan was released that year, but I can't remember if it was 2005 or 2006), since the Ragah(Rahagah? Rakagah?) were really Toa. Though that ruling is questionable. In 2006 we had six Matoran, though with no basic body type so customization was impractical. In 2007 however we got four villagers(one with a blue great mask of night vision!) and two pets, each with the same basic body. So with different colored pieces and masks, you could still create a great deal of villagers. While 2008 had eight Matoran, each compatible with Metru style masks, it also opened a can of worms with the revelation of Av-Matoran cloaks. So technically any Matoran in your collection could be an Av-Matoran in disguise, thus further undermining the nice color coded system. In 2009 we had ten Agori, with designs for two others. So that is 59 civilians over nine years(much more if you count the easily customizable Mata-Nui Matoran).

De'kra nodded, since it was the newest clue they had. "Not make sense elves help Lion Knights," he clicked, "If elves no like newcomers, why help invaders? Only way it make sense to me; six houses have upset Brobric, and Lion knights promise to leave elves alone. You thoughts?" -
Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 4 Discussion

Yes, although I might have gotten some information from another book-a list of the galaxy's sapient races. I think it was the new addition though, or the ultimate edition or something. According to Wookieepedia(great pun), the food was only part of the reason. The other reason was that Imperials put a gun on her, so he realized that she was an enemy to the invaders. Be warned if you look at Wickets page, much of it is from that show that must not be named. Thanks, the only worry I have is that I forget when Wookiees are first recorded to have been on Kashyyyk. I think that one book I read said that the Wookiees first took to the trees two million years before Star Wars begins, which means that the humans in Star Wars might actually be a different species than modern humans, maybe descended from Homo habilis or so other ancient man. That or the current humans of Starwars were abducted more recently. -

Partly from a mixture of Wookieepdeia and a book on Starwars wildlife. Not sure about Wicket though, but he was the only one to ally with a rebel without divine interference. Although I haven't seen the movie in a while. I am referring to their society being possible and realistic, not their designs or their planet. I just assumed that there was some sort of ancient race who spread life from galaxy to galaxy in a n experiment to see what life emerged. That is how I rational humans in another galaxy in the past; they were abducted. And the reason most races look alike is because their ancestors were synthesized from human and other genetics. Note that I have no proof what so ever of this(except that the Wookies believe that they are immigrants to their home world), it's just my way of explaining it.
