Heroica RPG - Quest #4: Taming the Lions
Tanma replied to Brickdoctor's topic in The Heroica Archive
De'kra clicked softly to Tomas, "It not much, but heroes and I have weapons. Maybe heroes and I and three weapons give up one weapon, not paid tool though. Elves go to war, need all gear elves get. I not use Fang Dagger in near future, Pongcanis dagger enough." -
Heroica RPG - Quest #4: Taming the Lions

De'kra looked over the three elfin generals. The one to the left of the group donned a cloak, and wore the war paint that some of the heroes at Heroica had worn. The ight most elf seemed intrigued by the group, as though he was analyzing them with all the skill of a trained tracker. The center figure seemed the most at ease, but his hair seemed it be graying in front. De'kra had yet to see an elf with so much aging, and pondered to himself how old this elf was. -
Wow, this certainly grew since I last saw it. A lot of detail wentinto this, I have to say I enjoy the movie background. It really highlights the similarities between the film and the scene.

Nice creation, it does look highly "swooshable." the only concern I have is that the images creates the effect that it is a mini scale craft. Something about the parts used and it's shape makes it seem quite small. regardless it is a great MOC.
-
Interesting vessel, what part was used for the guns/blasters? I think I have seen the part before, but I don't recall it's purpose.

Wow, this is impressive. I must say Legoformers always interest me, but this one in particular is great. Not only does it include the Energon ax and roller, but he also has the Matrix. A lot of time and details must have gone into this creation, and then to make it transformable gives it even more glory. Nice to know that you also researched the figure in order to make it.
-
Brilliant creation, how did you get that much gold parts? Regardless the entire creation flows nicely, the upper torso is especially smooth. The only concern I have is that the hero chest plates might limit arm movement, but I haven't used them in that way so I can't be sure.

Thank you. I really need to find a better camera though, you can hardly see the last image, and it was the best of five version of that creation..

De'kra nods, glad that they might not have such a hard time with diplomacy this time around. As long as solely the knight and their leader communicated, the odds of offending the elves was greatly reduced. -
You are welcomed, nice job concealing the red pins by the way. Usually they act as an eye sore save in Mata red creations, but you managed to hide them so well. I can only see one and only in two shots is it visible.

Agreed, but Von Nebula especially since they assume he is destroyed. The others are captured and held in containment, and the factory no doubt is watching them carefully.
-
Why couldn't the set have designed more like this?Because of cost This is a beautiful creature, so twisted and horrifying in form. This is what a true warlord should look like, and the blue pins work well with the spikes. This is a wonderful creation, and I can find no flaw with it.

I just got it, and I am still learning its mechanics. Any tips for controls? I know the basics, but the more complecated stuff eludes me. How can people fly, how can they summon resources through code? How can you talk? And so on.

De'kra clicks, "Yes, heroes and I head to red house. Might best barbarian not talk to elves, only knight or cleric talk to them." -
Nice Witch Doctor, he looks a bit more lanky and thin now, more like a skeleton tha a titan. His left hand looks a little weird though, the silver claws just seem out of place Still, it is a nice remake.

I for one would like to see recurring villians, all foes encuntered thus far seem like one shots. It wouldn't be hard to bring back Von Nebula for instance. First rule of superheroes is that if you never found the body; they aren't dead. I also would like to see th heroes loose some, not necessarily in major ways, just not be completely victorious. Lik the villian's plan is defeated, but they got away and a hero is permanately shut down in the battle. Civilians also would be nice, otherwise there is no one for the heroes to protect.

De'kra clicked, "It best heroes and I go to red house, but house in R'Kilf? It not one of buildings heroes and I can go to, only dragon tavern and inn. Or I miss thing here?" -
I just saw one shall rise. Megatron's lines seemed a little off, but since he is completely outclassed this doesn't matter.

Metro-Nui was abandoned and Mata-Nui fell into a deep sleep. Not to mention the force of Mata-Nui's crash ripped his chest open and sent Voya-Nui rocketing to the surface. Their god fell into unconsciousness, I would say that is bad.
-
Technically evil won in 2004 as well, the heroes just thought they had been victorious.

De'kra nods, glad that the Heroes have avoided a fight, thanks to the elves. Their luck had held out thus far, but the shade preferred to be a little stronger before attempting to battle the knights. -
Okay, that makes sense.

De'kra bows to the elves discreetly as he looks around the inn. He made a mental note to talk to a Brobric Elf at some point, they seem very passionate about protecting Uland from outsiders. The elves aren't even based here, yet are making a presense here to scare off foes. That is, if they are being honest. But De'kra had no reason to suspect the elves, so he might as well observe them. There was something about the warriors that reminded him of that Veteran. -

De'kra reminded the others of his previous suggestions. Will any of his ideas be useful in this situation, or will his lack of social interaction limit his usefulness in this situation? -

De'kra waited to see if anyone in the group would reply to his suggestions. Thus far he was glad that he was right that the elves were in R'Kilf would aid outsiders, or at least he appeared to be orrect. Only time would tell if he was truly right.
