Tanma replied to Brickdoctor's topic in The Heroica Archive
IC: De'kra nodded and clicked, "True, but things now exist heroes and I might have chance to heal things. When guards catch up to heroes and I, it look worse might heroes and I loot knights' camp either heroes and I leave now. But in end, it leader's decision." -

IC: De'kra nods that his theory seems verified, become asking, "But knights not foes, who attack caravans? Maybe elves raid caravan, to promote war between Shadeaux and Lion Knighs? Note say Crownies think Shadeaux more dangerous than elves..." Edit: De'kra waits for the leader to make his decision, since anything he would add might be redundant. -

IC: De'kra clicked, "It possible might might Lion Knights only buy more farm land, and not try to conquer Eubric?. Heroes and I know elves no like outsiders, perhaps they hate outsiders even if outsiders not hostile. Might Crownies sell farms to Lion Knights because of famine in Lion Knight homeland?" The shade waits for an answer, while wondering if they have failed this quest. Of course, they were only hired to get to the bottom of this, so perhaps all was not lost... -

IC: De'kra clicks, "Heroes think Lion Knights might change wheat, Lion Knights make wheat bad for Uland denizens to eat? It make take over easier? Guide, you know who need wheat here, and might Crownies part ouf it?" -
Quest 4 is huge alright, which reminds me, has anyone bothered to memorize the nights we have been journeying? It would be interesting to know how long we have been on this quest, since most quests take place in one day/night. One reason why I think we are barely started on the quest is the deal we made with the elf leader at Brobric. I think that once we learn what the Lion Knights are planning, we will have to rush to the Brobric Elves in order to give them warning of the plans. But since the contract was destroyed, the elves will keep us out. Because of this we will have to sneak into the forest with help from that elf warrior we traveled with. And somewhere in there we will deal with the Shadeaux torch plot point.

I am not complaining in the slightest, but we are near the end of the quest correct? I only ask because we not only have outlasted all the quests that started around the time we began, but other quests like 10 and 11 started and finished after we began. I just want to know if this is close to the final battle, or if there will be a plot twist and we aren't even two thirds done.

Heroica RPG - Quest #4: Taming the Lions

IC: De'kra stares in shock, as his blade drips sweet blood onto the ground. He had not only managed to harm a foe, but he defeated his opponent all by himself. The defeat of Lion Footsoldier B was entirely his doing, and in one attack. Gradually the shade recalls that he is in the middle of a battle, and gets ready for a follow up attack. "I attack Captain of Front Row," declared De'kra, still in shock. -

IC: De'kra grips his sword, knowing that soon the team would be swarming with enemies. The shade decides to attack the Lion Footsoldier A from the front row, to stop them from calling reinforcements. -

De'kra's eyes locked with the pickaxe, noting it's strong shaft and powerful blade. Of course the shade knew that he was not first in line for new tools, he had gotten a lot of gifts on this adventure already. Two capes and two daggers; he already had more than his share of tools. So the shade decides to stay quiet, and watch for guards. -

IC: De'kra nods and clicks, "I agree heroes and I move to supply tent. Lion Knights might have guards in tent to protect tools, heroes and I need careful." -

IC: Dece cheers inside to have contributed to the quest, though now he worries if his bad luck in battle will doom the team to failure. De'kra does have a tendency to either miss or take damage, and of the heroes he is the only one who died. De'kra shuddered at the thought, dying wasn't fun. De'kra didn't remember much of being dead, only that he never wanted to die again. Regardless, dying was in this kind of work. At least for him it wasn't permanent. "I attack Lion Footsoldier B from front row," stated the shade, clearly worried about how the group will do in this fight. -
Nice to know our hall's stats, apparently knights are the most beloved class of the forum. But we rogues are still in second! But I must warn you that De'kra's current stats might not be a hundred percent right.

Makes sense. While I am here, did anyone else feel kind of sad after Quest 10 ended? A student died and only one person cared enough to notice. Not to mention how tormented and sad she seemed from the sound of it. The only good thing that came from that quest is our solar system model.

IC: De'kra nodded at the knight, and his movements seemed happier. This feeling was not forged from the fire of Leo's words however, rather it was crafted from the fact that De'kra's assumption that his body language meant the same thing as the Ulanders was right. He had woken up with this sense of gestures and body movements, and thus he wasn't sure how they came off to the others. Sure he could get bits and pieces from what others did, but it was hard to get direct confirmation. After all you can't just walk up to someone and ask them why the body moves like it does, people get mad and you and start hitting you with sticks. Of course, it might have been the way De'kra phrased it... The shade suddenly clicked, "What elves tricked into burn? It seem like weapons, but spaces too small to make weapon. Heroes have thoughts?" -
I have a style? Anyway, I personally hope that some of the heroes from quest 3 return to help in quest 14. Not that it will affect much in gameplay, but as a watcher it would be nice to see those classic heroes interacting with the eccentric mages of Eubric once again. And it also would help establish a sense of continuity to the game, making the sequel quest more cemented to the first. Of course it is all up to the Questmaster and the heroes of quest three if they will go further down that rabbit hole.

De'kra nods and follows after the group. Inside the little shade seeds of doubt continue to be nurtured, causing an emptiness in his world. This whole quest he had done partially nothing, except briefly lose his memories once more. The group might have been better off had De'kra been left behind instead of Xander, they surely would have made much more progress by now. -

De'kra nodded and approached the door to try to make his way in. Hopefully he would be actually able to contribute to the others for once, instead of failing epically in a fight. -

IC: As their groups ranger goes ballistic on mid air, De'kra whispers to the group, "Why rangers never run out of arrows anyway? Of what I read, Makuta and clerics run out of evor, rogues have to retrieve rogue thrown items, but rangers have no limits. Why?" -
Looking at the planets it looks like Galidoor is more habitable than the others, aside from Olegaia of course. It seems to have mountains, and what might be a vast desert. Which is better than the solid red and black planets. Now I can't help but wonder if one day a quest will have aliens attacking us, or even the Alchemists and the Architects building a spaceship for a quest to use.

Wait a second... Exofors=Exo-Force Galidoor=Galidor Belvel=Belville Syprium= Spyrius Olegaia=?

IC: De'kra clicked, "I also not have large gold number. Leader, Axeman; leader and axeman want ten gold I have? It lower I debt, and give leader and axeman better chance of good tools. Might yes, I give five gold to leader and five gold to axeman." -

IC: De'kra nods, though something in his manner is off. The shade has no clue what this is about, and whether or not it connects to the Lion Knights. He files this place mentally under things he doesn't understand, a more forgiving category than things he can't comprehend. -

IC: De'kra watched as the two Makuta sent blasts of shadow into the Axeman, devastating the foe. As the heroes stood victorious, the shade glanced over the loot. "I suggest Makuta and other Makuta take money," he stated, "I hear magic shop come to Eubric soon, Makuta and other Makuta might find something there only Makuta can use. What leader think?" The shade dipped his head in thanks to the leader, glad to have some funds and to have a new cloak. "Heroes and I move on?" he asked as the Goldwater divided up. -
Right, De'kra is actually considered to be ancient by his people, to reach a decade is almost unheard of. Most of his people live only to be half a year old to three years at most, although death is not as final as it is for other races. Likewise the way his kind measures time is different than the way other races do it, his eleven years of life don't translate into Heroica years.
