  1. Yeah, exactly. You know, it's the kind of pointless-but-cool technical looking nic-nacs like on the sides of the ISD or the Millenium Falcon. If you still don't know what I mean, here and here are some examples.
  2. Alright, everyone, this is what we call a pointless post. Single sentences that hardly add anything to the story and election propaganda that doesn't even have anything to do with this game at all are not welcome here. So, please refrain from making such posts in the future and only post when you really have something to say that deals with this game. Thank you. Signed, the SWCG Co-Leader. PS: Nice job on the new ad for this game, JD! Is that KimT I spot in the background? And that thing behind Thok, is that supposed to be BPac? If not, where is he? Who's the one in the black helmet? Also, where are Bob, Wouwie, Skipper and William "Da Death Star" Jones? Perhaps they could be added? Way to put you and the other players into the foreground and the actual leaders in the back! Oh well, this way we have a better eye on all of you! However, that pic is way too big for your (or anyone's) sig, so please consider resizing!
  3. One of the great pros of this set!
  4. "But wont we get caught in the fire too?" asked Oky Wan concerned. "Nah, we're too far behind them now." said Jim. "So... What do we do now? Just wait 'til they do the work for us?" said Thok frustratedly. Oky Wan replied: "Well, I was thinking that since we are behind enemy lines without the enemy knowing about it, we could use this opportunity to do some sabotaging!" "Hm. And what did you have in mind exactly?" asked Thok, now a little more curious. "Well, if we could get into one of the tanks or even an MTT, we could use its weaponry to take out every droid in sight!" "Now that's more like it!" said Thok satisfied. And so they started planning their attack... This is my favorite strategy in SW: Battlefront - sneak behind enemy lines and then use their big guns against them!
  5. Yeah, but only if it's made well. The last one kinda sucked!
  6. Wait - are you talking with Thok over a comlink or something? 'Cause as you know, he is with me and Jim behind enemy lines! Or is this a different Thok?
  7. Kahuka all the way! I mean, come on, he has his people carrying him around on a throne - He has to be good leader! Go Kahuka Go!
  8. From Oct 26 to Nov 22, Toys 'R' Us US is having their Big Toy Book sale again and they have selected sets from various themes on sale! You can see them here. Also, from Nov 2 to Nov 8, they have 20% off all Lego Belville, Lego Ville, and Lego Racers sets!
  9. As Jim, Thok, and Oky Wan neared the communications center, a Republic Gunship suddenly flew over their heads and landed next to the center up ahead. "Good" said Jim, "looks like the reinforcements are here!" "But only one gunship?" asked Thok. "Wont we need more than..." "Psst!" shushed Oky Wan. "What's that noise?" "What noise?" asked Jim. "That humming noise... It almost sounds like..." In that moment, the oversized plants behind them burst aside and a large MTT soared right toward them. "Get down!" cried Oky Wan and pulled the other two onto the ground. They lay there with their faces in the dirt while the MTT passed over them. After it was gone, they remained hidden in the grass, but they looked up to see what was going on. To their shock, it was an entire small droid army that passed them! Thok turned to Jim and said in a highly sarcastic voice: "Yeah, now I'm sure that we need more reinforcements!" Yes, I built all of this just for this game! Nah, of course I didn't make this! It's just another BS find. Isn't it amazing, though? Click here to see the complete gallery with many more awesome SW dioramas! Btw, what do you think about the two quotes I have added to my sig?
  10. That's too bad, but since these minis are so rare and since you can easily make these with the help of PAB, I really mind.
  11. That the things that are printed on the printed pieces are missing. Great review! You showed all the features of this set excellently! The only things that are missing are a bottom view of the tank and a poll to rate this set. Then again, we all would probably vote "Outstanding". You should be grateful for the price. As you said, compared to other SW sets, it's one of the better deals. Besides, the rest of the world has to pay much more for this set. 70 Euros for example, which is a bit more than $70! This is an awesome set and I am very happy to have it! I can highly recommend it!
  12. Idk, Jim, as Tinn-Man pointed out, the Land- and Sonw speeders have been released recently, and I don't think that TLG can improve these any more. The podracer set would be a dream , especially with a commentator cabin with the two-headed guy, but with that many pods, it would have to be some kind of special exclusive like the DS, not to mention it would cost a fortune. And I don't think they would include Quadrinaro - he wasn't even really in the race since his racer blew up. But they could include some of the racers that Sebulba destroyed during the race (the ones from the junkyard set, plus Mars Guo's pod ), perhaps with some kind of fall-apart feature. However, from your list, the thing that is would most likely to be released would be the sub. That one could definitely use a redesign from its first version. But then again, this vehicle wasn't very popular... You gave me a neat idea though: How about a UCS Anakin's Podracer with turbines entirely made out greebs! That would be so awesome! They could use a couple of trans-pink versions of the new lightning piece for the energy coupling and the new windshield from the Speed Racer sets for the cockpit!
  13. I thoguht the scene at the beginning where he goes into the dark mutant nest to get his dog was pretty damn creepy! But, yeah, the rest of the movie is kinda said.
  14. My sigfig is this good-looking couch potato right here : Basically, he is me in minifig form. It's a Harry Potter head (fleshie preferred - I have very bright skin ) or some kind of other generic head with glasses with generic male brown hair, blue legs, and some kind of casual green torso, preferably with fleshie hands. Have fun making the brickfilm! Can't wait to see it! Could you give us a hint of what it is about?
  15. Just because it has a higher piece count doesn't mean it's bigger. It's smaller, but unlike the ILC, it has flick fire missiles, and greebs, and that kind of stuff. But I guess you're right in saying that that is the only thing that matters to TLC. You truly are crazy, crazy one! That's just a retro package design, imitating the box art from the first TIE Advanced, silly! Remember, this is an anniversary set!
  16. I really hope that they will start putting the new design of R2 from the DS into the sets from now on, and that it will be available in a cheap set in the near future. Cause now that I've seen that one, the old design looks like crap.
  17. I really hope that the RAS wont be more than $50. I mean, come on, it's smaller than the Imperial Landing Craft and has less figs! So it better be 50 USD or less! And the AAT shouldn't cost more than the Fighter Tank either, even with all the figs in there. $20 for Hyena and $30 for Ahsoka sounds quite fair though, compared with the DGS and the Eo. III JSF set.
  18. Since when is everyone a general? Did we all get promoted for our services on Utapau and Hoth or something? And even if so, wouldn't the clones call you by your last names? Also, how can hide your force sensitivity? Like Palpatine always does? I'm sorry, but all of that doesn't make much sense to me. As Jim, Oky Wan, and Thok walked toward the rendezvous point, they discussed their situation. At one point, Oky said: "Jim, about what you said back in the starfighter... Do you really think Grievous is still alive? I mean, he was on that separatist cruiser when we planted the bomb and we watched it crash into Hoth. He couldn't have escaped since his starfighter was in the hangar which... you know... Mack blew up." "Yes," said Jim grimly, "I am convinced that he escaped somehow. I have heard stories about him. They say that he can wield over four lightsabers at a time with immense speed and precision. They say he killed several Jedi this way. Now that I have fought him myself, I'm sure these stories are true. And someone who is capable of these things can probably escape a situation like that too. Perhaps he fled the ship right before Mack's heroic act, when we were on our way to our capital ship. Either way, I'm sure he is here. Now that we are getting closer to the base, I think I can even feel his presence." "Hey, guys," interupted Thok, "I think I can already see the CIS outpost where Garviel should be waiting for us!" Time to reunite!
  19. I voted for Cpt. Willabee because his entry is simple, but well executed and very effective. It represents your typical 50s horror movie scene in a town setting. Also, it's pretty much what I would have entered if I would have had the time to.
  20. I'm most excited about Star Wars of course! I will get as many CW sets as possible, but I will have to wait and see how they turn out in order to determine whether I want to mod them or not. In fact, there is only one thing I am sure that I will mod: Once I get the small Bionicle sets Atakus and Metus, I will swap their hands with those of my Whenua and Kopaka! That's the whole reason why I'm getting those two sets - to update my favorite Toa so that they have real hands instead of mere ball joint sockets. You see, I always update those two so that they look good for my next BotBattle film! Right after that, I will mod the walker from the Clone BP so that it becomes a normal, one-seat AT-RT. So, as you can see, my mods will only be minor. I will also get some small sets from the new Pirates and Power Miners themes, but I don't think that I'll need to mod them since I'll be mostly buying them for parts.
  21. Nice goin', Jim, you got us all worked up! Nah, it's all good. But I don't need any proof to know that the Venator will be released. It's one of the coolest and most iconic vessels of the CW, so TLG would have to be a fool not to release it! I sure am looking forward to it, even though it's probably an ISD with some modifications. We'll see.
  22. Oh please. I wouldn't have had a chance either, with such good entries as baronsat's among the competition. Oh well, we'll see. Erm... since when do potatoes have eyes? Or is that the joke?
  23. That's awesome... and kinda creepy. It's as if God was playing with Lego and accidentally dropped a fig over the edge of the cloud so that it fell into the ocean. (No blasphemy intended; in the contrary!)
  24. I don't. This would just be 7009 Final Joust with an added tribune and "refreshment" stand. But sure, I'd love to see something like that too, especially if the tribune would be done as nicely as the buildings in Village Marketplace! As for me: Honestly, I'm so happy with all the great themes out there right now that I don't have much to wish for. The only thing I'd really like to see would be a well executed steampunk theme, with a lot of creative flying machines and vehicles in a tan, brown, and (dark) grey color scheme! I think that would be a very imaginative theme with a lot of possibilities!
  25. There will most definitely be magna guards in 09! Didn't you see the Legoworld pics a few pages back? Next to the new clone gunner from the upcoming BP, there was a magnaguard with printed shoulder stripes! Why else would it have printing. I want some magnas too and am not willing/able to spend $45 for them either. Therefore, I hope that there will be another droid BP with these updated magna guards, battle droids with the arms that can hold blasters, SBDs with the new "cannon" arms from the AAT set, and perhaps a Droideka. But if the magnas come in a set that is priced up to $30 and perhaps includes some other new figs (like the solar sailer as rumored), it would be fine with me. So, anyway, if you're only interested in the figs (like me), then don't get the starfighter.
