The Big Toy Book sales ends on Nov. 22, and yes, that's the same sale.

They are having another one of those?! Oh boy, I'm so excited! The first one was great! I really hope I can find a way to watch it... "Christoph Maria Herbst, Nina Hagen and Verona Pooth" eh? Idk... The first Lego Show had much better prominent guests, like Otto Waalkes for example. One of these kids was me! Good times, good times...

Well, aside from any mod who cares about that index, the creator of the index, Scyzoryk, of course! Duh! You're welcome. Seriously, though, thanks for the compliments. And yes, I am struggling with the urge to buy Volcano Base as well, especially now that it's only $60 in Toys 'R' Us at the moment. Btw, computerbug, it would also be cool if you would add docks for all the cyborgs' vehicles to the Volcano Base, in the style of the Batcave!

Yes. Or perhaps something like ! Hm... with Obi Wan, MagnaGuards, Utapau troopers, and crab droids? I like the sound of that! But that would be even more impossible ... Oh well, an AFOL can dream, can't he?

Thank you, oDDerFisken! Those are some very reasonable suggestions you are giving me there! There's not much story to this. There is a tower, and pirates are pillaging/raiding it. The tower is probably in some fort somewhere in the Caribbean and is inhabited by Red-coats. The gang of pirates is part of a large group/crew of pirates who are pillaging the fort/village that the tower is in. They randomly decided to go into this particular building to look for valuables. Very simple. Well, I wasn't quite sure how the poor man got his legs amputated like that, so I wasn't sure what weapon to give the pirate, but I think a cutlass makes the most sense. A gun would have never done such damage. So, I will give the Pirate a cutlass. I don't think I'll change the dying man, though. I didn't give him fleshie hands to avoid making him look like a fleshie fig amongst yellow figs. Instead, it's supposed to look like he used to be yellow, but that the color has left his face. You know, I was thinking about that, but then I decided against it for three reasons: A black skeleton wouldn't be very visible in a dark room like that. There are only two kinds of black skeleton heads: The one with the ghoulish red eyes from the new castle sets, and this :pir-skull: one in black and with white eyes. Neither of those is very fitting for a pitiful victim of a cruel act. This victim is supposed to have fallen onto the table. The way his arms are spread out like that captures that feeling very well IMO. The black skeletons can't do that. They can only have their arms up or down. Both of those positions make them look quite stiff and unnatural. But you're probably right about the ink pot. I was just trying to find something to put on the table, but that was obviously the wrong choice. I'll exchange it with a goblet. Will a pearl-gold one do? Or should it have a more burned-looking color? Both are good ideas. I'll do that. I don't see the necessity of more furniture, but if you think it will enhance the MOC, sure, I can put a chandelier in. There is a technique for making one that I have been wanting to try out anyway. I think you answered yourself there. Besides, I wanted it to look like the pirates are going through the tower from bottom to top. In the lower floors, you can see the damage they have caused and that one of them is already leaving, while in upper floors, you see pirates just entering rooms and engaging in fights. Thank you for mentioning the problem about the pics, guys, I'll keep that in mind when I finalize my entry, but for now, I couldn't care less how large or many they are, so please stop commenting that.

We have more chances of getting a Jedi Council set than this. And even that will probably never happen, no matter how incredibly awesome that would be. Besides, what would clones do in a Separatist Counsil Set? Die probably.

She just got lucky. If Rex would've hit that detonator a few seconds later, she would've been a goner. Besides, Grievous wasn't even trying really. He simply underestimated her because of her age. Common mistake. Yeah, me too. They make him look like such a coward. But, c'mon, what is he supposed to do? Go down with his ship/station? I wasn't all that disappointed by that episode. Sure, the fight between Grievous and Obi was kinda short and lame, and the final destruction of the ship could have been a little more spectacular, but other than that, it was quite good. You have to admit that it was pretty cool how Obi took out three Destroyers and a small army of droids in under a minute! That, my friend, you can definitely look forward to!

I don't know about the Mobile Command Center, but here are some things you could add to the Volcano Base: A bedroom for Dr. Inferno and Clawdette. A briefing room with a long table, chairs, and a big screen for Inferno to meet with the other cyborgs and discuss plans for world domination. A little lab and/or library for the Doctor to practice his mad science in! A landing platform for a getaway vehicle such as the hover jet from the Mobile Command Center set. This way, Inferno will be able to escape when the Agents break into his base and he is forced to initiate the self-destruct sequence, as always. A mirror and a brush (preferably orange) so that Inferno has a place where he can make his hair! Some kind of repair bay where Inferno and the other cyborgs can repair, exchange, and upgrade their robotic limbs. A torture room to get information out of captured Agents. A robot butler. Perhaps some kind of pet for Dr. Inferno, and everything that it needs. It could be robotic. That's about what I can think of right now. You can also get some inspiration from the MOCs section of the Agents Index.

Yes, but they aren't memorable! They aren't characters where the kids can say "Oh cool, it's the Ice-Guy/Penguin-Guy/Plant-Lady/Clown/etc." when they see them on the box of a set. Also, Hush and Black Mask have only been featured in comics, which kids these days sadly don't read. I have just recently become a Bat-fan, and even I didn't know who Hush is until the Lego Batman Videogame came out. If I didn't know, how is a little kid supposed to (except from the videogame that is). And the Ventriloquist isn't any more important than the Mad Hatter, Clay Face, or Man Bat. With the popularity of the new series of movies, I could imagine there to be a Ras fig in the next set though - if there is going to be one. However, I absolutely agree on the heroes. I mean, a series of Batman toys without Gordon? How dare they! And even though I don't like Batgirl that much (because she tends to steal Batsy the show), I admit that it would definitely be sweet to have a fig of her! Batman 09 ON!

Which is mightier - Black Seas Barracuda OR Brickbeard's Bounty?
Oky replied to Captain Zuloo's topic in LEGO Pirates
They are quite similar, but with all it's pearl-gold pieces, improved shark and hull parts, and awesome minifigs, Brickbeard's Bounty is definitely the better of the two! -
I don't keep my boxes. I tear them open to get to the goodies inside, then throw them away. I don't sell my Lego, and I have the bricks and instructions to prove that I own a set, so what would be the point in keeping the box. Besides, I really need the space to store my vast Lego collection!

I like both, but I think I like forts and islands better than ships. 'Cause after all, ships are always kind of the same, while forts and islands vary a lot. Also, I think they offer a little more playability than ships, even though ships can be "swooshed". So, I guess I'm a land-lover. PS: Why is this thread called "Vessels & Vehicles"? Shouldn't it be more something like "Vessels & Islands"?

I was actually not talking to you. I was talking to Razzer and pr0visorak. Besides, what you said there didn't even have anything to do with what I said. I know what you mean, though.

Welcome back your highness. (You were gone? ) You know what's also a good "returning song"?
-
Yeah, but not many memorable ones. We already have all the biggest baddies.

Pencoin said somewhere that he thinks that there wont be any Bat sets because TLC lost the license. Is that true, the thing about the license?
-
Do you guys like the CW sets better than the others just because of the clone minifigs?

In the South Park episode "Tonsil Trouble", Cartman infects Kyle with AIDS. After finding out about that, Kyle swears to destroy everything Cartman owns and runs into his room, breaking every toy in sight. During his rampage, he kicks over a bucket with colorful bricks that says "LEGGOZE" on it. Also, in the new Futurama movie "Bender's Game", Leela enters the Planet Express ship in a demolition derby for spaceships, and one of the competing ships is made out of lego! Of course, it didn't stay built for long... Futurama ON!

Looks very nice. However, it lacks a little bit of detail and there are some things that could be done to improve it and make it more accurate: What bothers me most is the front. It just looks like a couple of brown bricks sandwiched between the rounded plates. It would be good if you could replace those bricks with something that complements the round shape better. Perhaps you could use TLCs idea of using flex tubes to get that shape. And while you're at it, you could replace the brown bricks on the sides with the same grill-bricks that TLC used on their landspeeders, if you have enough. The tan part of the speeder looks a little empty. Adding some greebs like a 1x2 grill tile in front of the left windshield and/or a round 1x1 plate somewhere around the middle on the right side might do the trick. On the original, I believe one of the engines is missing a hull and therefore looks darker than the other two. If you have those turbine pieces in different colors, that should be an easy color swap. Basically, I advice you to take another look at some reference pics and add some details.

A castle-fied Harry Potter MOC, eh? Interesting... The title of this MOC should have been "What happens when Knights get into the witch's broom closet". Very well done! I am amazed by the amount of detail, and there are some pretty nifty techniques used here! I especially like how that black ball (forgot what they are called now ) breaks through the tribune/tower and zooms over the lake, knocking over one of the guards! The only thing that kinda bothers me is the "earth" - it looks more like a pile of wooden planks than anything else. Perhaps that could be improved on. Keep up the good work!

What is that supposed to mean? I am a PT/CW fan, not OT! Also, this is about Lego SW subthemes (the sets to be exact), and not stories.

Thanks for all the great comments, guys! Looks like most of you don't like the colors of the floors. I'll try to recolor the whole a little so that it looks a little more unified. No. Any resemblance is pure coincidence. Hm, I guess that makes sense. I'll consider that when recoloring my entry. M'kay... How about a little rubber ducky that fell out of the bathtub? That's exactly what I intended it to look like! Note how his hands are not fleshie! A daring move perhaps, but a logical one! Thanks again, and keep the comments coming!

No Pirates in my local TRU yet either. However, they did have one or two new City sets...

OK, but there is still the problem that you will crash into the deflector shield before you can do the tower any harm. If someone doesn't shut it down first, that is! The group inside the CIS base looked feverishly for a way to hide or escape as the sound of marching droids got closer and closer. But there was nothing besides the choices that had been mentioned already. Therefore, Oky Wan said: "Let's take the air vent! It's our best chance." He took off the grill from the vent's opening and climbed inside. The others followed him as quickly as they could. They had escaped the droids successfully. They crawled through the shaft for a while until they got to the end. They all exited and looked around. They had landed in the room with the shield generator! "Hm," said Oky, "looks like they had to build air vents into the facility to keep the generator cooled. That must mean that it overheats easily! If we would just disconnect it from its heat sink, the generator would overheat and the shield would break down the next time something large attempts to penetrate it!" "Good idea," said Jim, "This way, the ships outside will be able to a bomb the base in case our mission fails." "Well, let's hope that wont be the case, but just to be sure, I'll do it" said Oky Wan and got to work. A few minutes later, he was done. "Good," said Jim, "now let's keep going." They exited the room through the door and continued sneaking through the base in search of the secret passageway. Btw, pr0, what is a "jackpack"?

Well excuuuuse me for having an opinion! Why do you say "no" to the RGS? It has been voted the best SW set of the year by EBers in numerous polls and voted to be outstanding in all reviews! Besides the RGS, there is also the RFT and the HSD, both of which are awesome sets too! And the upcoming clone BP must be one of the most anticipated sets ever! Besides, what is better than these sets in your opinion, huh? The numerous re-re-re-re-releases of Rebel Aliance fighters? No. The army of different black and blue TIEs? No. The incredibly expensive and useless UCS sets? No. The DS playset? Perhaps. But whoop-dee-doo - it's just one set that most people can't even afford. In your face! Seriously, though, you might be right - I probably let my affection for the Clone Wars cloud my judgment of the sets after all... But I would still vote for the CW sets, if not for the PT sets. So you can't change my mind anyway. Exactly. I mean, come on, even Anakin's little JSF has more playability than any JSF before it! Right again. Even though S@H categorized the first BPs as Ep. 3 sets, they are clearly not from the movie, but from the CW!
