Hm, looks like I didn't get to make an entry after all. Too bad, for I had some neat ideas. For example "Hospital of the Dead", a Lego City hospital full of zombified nurses, or a scene where two bullies scare a nerd by letting a Grim Reaper puppet down from a tree. Oh well. Maybe I can still make one of them as kind of a late Halloween MOC, outside of the contest. May the most horrifying entry win! Btw, here is my potato joke: What do you call a potato that makes a lot of comments? A commen-tater! Happy Halloween, everyone! :skull:

I know! Seriously, what kind of a secret weapon was that supposed to be?

Favorite Agent: Trace, hands-down! She's hot!!! Favorite Agents vehicle: Turbo Car of course! What could possibly be better than a vehicle made out of silver and dark blue bricks! Favorite Villain: Sawfist. I love the Terminator look of him! And in contrast to his twin brother Fire-Arm, his cyberborg arm doesn't look too oversized. Plus: He comes in the cheapest of the Agents sets! Favorite Villain Vehicle: The Hover Jet from the Mobile Command Center! I just dig hovering things. And it has a very neat design! I wish it would have been available in a cheaper set... Do I like Agents? Of course, I love it! I really hope there will be a second wave that is just as good (or even better) than the first one! Agents ON!

Nice pics everyone! Keep it up! The entire Venator was shaking under the fire of enemy turbo lasers, now that the blasts were hitting the hull directly. Inside, it was a complete chaos: Clones were running up and down the corridors, an alarm noise was in the air, and here and there, some electric circuits sparked. Oky Wan stumbled around, not sure where he was going and unable to think due to all the racket. Then, all of a sudden he could see Jim coming his way. With him were Thok and a clone who looked like he was the head engineer of the ship. "Jim, what's going on?" asked Oky Wan. "I got good news and bad news" said Jim. "The bad news is that our shields are down for good and the ship is taking heavy damage! I fear we have to evacuate." "Great!" said Oky sarcastically, "Well, what's the good news?" "Our communications are back! Looks like Garviel's mission was successful! Also, some more Republic ships have come to our help. I just got off the comlink with one of the ships' authorities, Commander Bob. He says he and his men will cover us while we go down to the planet." "Excellent!" said Oky Wan. "Then it's time for us to execute our part of the plan and destroy that ratchet time machine!" "Exactly!" agreed Jim and turned to the head engineer: "Try to keep the ship together until everyone has evacuated!" "Yes, Sir!" said the clone and ran off. "C'mon, Thok, let's go!" The three of them hurried toward the hangar. On the way, Oky Wan told the other two about his theory of Adam being behind the comlink-sabotage. "That son of a bantha!" cursed Jim. "After this, I'll need to have a serious talk with him - again!" They had reached the hangar and were now getting into an ARC 170 Starfighter. Oky sat in the pilot seat up front while Jim took the position of copilot and Thok that of the gunner. "What about Wouwie?" asked Oky Wan. "He is leading the troops into battle" replied Thok. And so, they took off, left the hangar, and headed for the planet, unknowing what dangers were awaiting them... I just assumed that you are a commander, Bob, since you are leading troops into battle, side-by-side with a Jedi, and all. Hope that's right.

Meh, it's alright. I liked the "Do Not Open Before Life Day" sign. My favorite so far is still Comic No. 2.

Wow! Thanks for the sweet close-up, Simon! Although he looks a little too wrinkly, I like the badass expression in his face! And, of course, it's good to see he has dark tan robes! Also, gotta love the new silver lightsaber! Can't wait for this set! Go Mace!

I'm afraid I can't upload the Family Guy clip. Stupid FOX blocks it every time I do! Sorry, I tried.

Review: 7979 Castle Advent Calendar (First Look)

Yes. I need some of the parts for my small PTV contest entry. -
Don't make posts like that. That's kinda rude. If people want to respond to your posts, they will. Aside from that, I didn't know you were waiting for approval. So, since nobody seems to object, I'll use my newly earned, special co-leader powers to officially approve this character design. I think most of us will be able to recreate something at least similar. Personally, I am glad to have a droid character on the cast! I was playing with the idea of being a droid when I was designing my character myself. And I like your name (or should I say model type? ) a lot too. BPac = 8P4C. LOL. But maybe you should add a dash in there to make it more StarWars-ish. How about "8P-4C" or "8-P4C"? Idk, just a suggestion.

Yeah, that's right, suckers! Now you have to do whatever I say! MUHAHAHA! Nah, don't worry, Jim, I wont abuse my powers.
-
That one will already be covered in the upcoming live action series! No, if there were an animated show with Luke, Han, Leia, etc. it would either be before or after Empire, I think. But let's not get too off topic here.

Funny you should ask! I just recorded that episode last night! I'll put it on my YouTube soon! Btw, do you guys know those Disney Channel logos that they show in between their programs? Usually, it's one or more stars from Disney Channel shows who say something like "Hi! I'm/We're [insert name(s)] from (insert name of Disney Channel show) and you're watching Disney Channel!" and then they draw the Disney Channel logo onto the screen with a big glow stick. But sometimes it's just some random animation that ends up showing the Disney Channel logo in some creative way. One of these, which they show recently, features cows made out of lego getting beamed up by a lego UFO. It's done using stop motion, and in the last scene, they show the UFO from a top view so that it becomes the "head" of the Disney Channel logo. It's pretty cool.

No, we really said that sometime before the start of this chapter. If you really want a saber, go ahead, but it would be nice if we could balance the numbers of lightsaber wielders and non-wielders out a bit. 'Cause as of now, almost everyone has one, and nobody is even a real Jedi! Except for Bob maybe...

How was seeing Yoda take out a whole droid army with only little help from three clones dissappointing? Erm... I'm sorry, but what does that mean? I know what you mean. But it's the same thing as with the Terminator show: just because we know that in the end, the whole fight will have been pointless, doesn't mean that it can't be an enjoyable show. Besides, if this show ends up being successful, perhaps LucasAnimation will consider an animated OT series next! Maybe they already are! After all, animated character designs for Luke, Han Solo, and Ben Kenobi arleady exist! (Click the links to see the maquettes!)

Around 3 hours. Pretty much any time when I don't have homework to do (or don't want to do it) or am building or shopping Lego. ... I really need to get a life.

Ahhh! Now those are some fine looking sets! I like the dark green color scheme on the Flying Wing, even though it looked very good in all-grey too, and the redesigns of the new characters (Willie, Short Round, and half-naked German Guy). I'm a little disappointed that we wont get a Doc Ock head with the chase set since I really liked the Doc Ock minifig, but missed out on those. But I guess it's always better to get new faces, especially on fleshie heads. If only we had some green Eta 2 wings, then we could create a green Jedi starfighter/interceptor! Oh well, maybe we can work something out with stickers... I'll definitely try to get at least one of these sets, but Idk yet, since I will already have trouble financing all the new CW sets.

Oh, I see. I didn't think that the little "Oh." that was pressed against your comment to BPac was supposed to be your whole reply to me. We said no more lightsaber wielders, dammit! That counts for you too, Death Star! @ Bob: Nice little Acclamator!

Wow! Finally some more finalized pics! And the first one of Ahsoka's Fighter! Sweet! Looks better than I thought, especially with that new astromech but I still wont get it, I think. The new Mace looks great! I'm so glad they changed it! And looks like Yoda will be Clone Wars style after all. I prefer the old one, but this one's kinda cute. As the Penguin pointed out, the SBDs seem to have the new rocket launcher arms! That's kinda cool. Still no stickers for the droid BP though. I will get one assassin droid BP, 4 clone BPs, one AAT, and one shuttle if I can! Thank you so much Skipper!

As the battle outside raged on, Oky Wan continued his search, pondering where JD was flying off to. Where are those techies Jim promised to send up to me, he thought. Until a few minutes ago, Oky was just making sure that everything was working correctly, but then one of the systems overheated and blew. Now he needed every help he could get, especially since the ship was constantly taking damage. Why the heck is nobody telling them to direct more power to the shields? wondered Oky. He ran through the corridors of the Venator for a while, until finally, he found an engineer tinkering with some cables. Oky: "Where the heck have you guys been? The ship is falling apart!" Techie: "I'm sorry, Sir, but we didn't receive any messages for a while. We suspected that there is something wrong with the internal communications of the ship. That's why I was sent up here. But everything works fine. Looks like someone just stole our comlinks. Oky: What?! But that would be sabotage! Who would do that?" Techie: "I don't know, Sir." Oky thought about this for a minute. First he thought it was JD, but he seemed too trust worthy to be a traitor. No, the only person who they were never been able to completely trust, was... "Adam!" Oky Wan angrily turned back to the engineer and told him: "Go down to the other Techies and tell them to put all power to the shields! And send some of up to the control room! I need..." But it was too late, as in that moment a heavy blast from an enemy frigate shook up the whole ship and a nasty noise that came from the shield generator told them that their shields were now completely down. Didn't I promise you an awesome pic? Well, there you have it. The MOCs aren't from me; they're just images I found on Flickr. Hope that's OK.

Why is everyone saying they're dark red? They clearly look brown to me.

Hm. Interesting connection you made there! I found the commandos pretty cool as well, and thought that it would be great to get minifigs of them, but I wouldn't have thought that these were supposed to be them. That's probably because they don't look very much like 'em. I mean, they could have at least made the heads dark bley like their limbs since the originals have completely dark heads. Then again, that could be a sign that these minifigs aren't supposed to be the commandos, but a new, never-before-seen kind of Jet(pack) Droid, as previously assumed. That would explain the jetpacks. But on the other hand, considering that the makers of the show tend to reuse models as new things, these droids could be a reuse of the commandos with jetpacks attached to them and maybe a slightly new color scheme. But if they are supposed to be the commandos, I hope the current design of the minifigs is preliminary. As mentioned above, I'd like to see some recoloring, and perhaps even a new head mold (the commandos' heads are smaller so that they fit a clone helmet). Oh well, I guess we'll find out once the episode where these droids appear airs. Perhaps this thread belongs into the 2009 Pics & Rumors topic?

Erm... yeah, BPac, that is a little too exotic, and I think it violates rule #5 of this game. I think I have all those parts, but I'm sure most of the others don't. So, please consider a redesign. Which race/species is your character supposed to be anyway? Some kind of variant of the Ithorians? @ Da Death Star: Why did you quote me when you were talking to BPac?

Woohoo! My Dad just came back from a business trip to Nuernberg, Germany, and he was able to pick one of these up for me! I'm so happy right now! Sorry, just had to get that out there. Back on Topic: I rated this set "Outstanding". It has lots of rare pieces in rare colors and almost all the minifigs you need for a nice castle scene; plus three exclusive minifigs! Truly outstanding! A king or queen would have been nice, but with all the things we are already getting with this thing, I won't complain. Thanks for the nice little review! -
Big deal. Now they cost as much as they do on S@H. As Jim said, the American TRU stores have that (and other Lego sales) too. I'm thinking about getting the Volcano Base (which is at $60) but I don't have too much cash right now. Oh, and btw, the Lego Store in Downtown Disney has loads of the Fighter Tank. I already got mine! YAY!

So, that's it then? The ISD for half the price? I'm sorry to sound so disappointed, but honestly, I was hoping for the MTT to finally go on sale. Or perhaps even something like this: Whatever happened to that anyway? Was that ever confirmed? It would be so great if it was true! But how do they define a "large set"? Anything over $100? Oh well, I guess I'll find out on Black Friday. If there is no other really good sale, I'll just go for it and buy a large set from my lego store, hoping to get one of the higher rebates. But I bet you'll have to be really, really lucky to get the 50%.
