  1. Well, there was a topic not so long ago where we were asked which set was the best one of the year. I can't be bothered to find it right now, but if you take a look at it, you should be able to tell which CW sets were the most popular. I think the RGS won (which surprised me, considering how great the DS is). Since you are asking which ones have actually been bought, I guess this topic can stay. My personal favorite is the Fighter Tank! I don't know why, but that thing is just awesome! Plus, it's the only set so far that comes with more than one standard clone! I'm so happy I was finally able to buy it last week! I can heartly recommend it! Besides the tank, I have purchased the Spider Droid, Hailfire Droid, and AT-TE. The AT-TE is alright, and the Droid sets are nice, but expensive, army builders. And I am still planning on getting the RGS as soon as I have some money. I also want to get the Grievous statue, but apparently that doesn't count as a CW set to you. CW on!
  2. Wait - So, we are in a Star Destroyer?? I thought we were in an Acclamator! Didn't Wouwie say somewhere that it was an assualt ship?
  3. Aren't the clones' comlinks built into their helmets? I think they would have noticed if you would have taken all of their helmets off and taken them with you. But, whatever. Why? You were on the ship with all of us when we flew from Utapau to Hoth. @ JimButcher: How can you communicate with Bob? I thought our communications were being jammed. I'll post something soon; I'm kinda busy right now; and I'll have some really awesome pics! Just wait!
  4. Oh come on! Judging from this reference pic, the sails would have to be humongous if the model was to be in the least accurate! So, I really don't think TLC will even try to add a sail to it. And I don't hope so either, since that would raise the price of it drastically. But if they would make a sail, I could imagine it to be made out of a light Technic construction and four giant versions of the old surf sails (the ones made out of the material of the Geonosians' wings), each one making up a quarter of the sail. Remember: the sail isn't round, it's oval. So, some kind of dome wouldn't make sense at all. Honestly, though, I really don't care for the sail or about how accurate this set would be, since I would only buy it as a parts pack and for the minifigs. I hope the rumor about it being released is true, though. I also hope it's true that it will come with 2 Magna Guards and will be a rather cheap set, kinda like the Geo. Fighter set ($20-$30).
  5. I know I can, but those living outside of the US can't. This was supposed to be good news for them, but... Oh well. I respectfully disagree. The new episode was pretty damn awesome! It was even better than I expected! I'm loving those new Droid Commandos! They are the first droids who actually have some skill! Hopefully we'll get minifigs of those at some point! It was so cool when Rex snapped the neck of one of them! Thanks to Halloween, we'll have to wait two weeks for the next episode. There, Artoo will get lost in space and captured by the separatists! Poor Artoo! This will be the first part of a 2-part story. And after those two episodes, there will be the episode where Jar Jar gets mistaken for a Jedi. Let's just hope it will be the last thing we'll see of him.
  6. Hm, good question. I'm pretty sure she was there to kill him too (because of the way she was going straight for him). If she were there to protect him, I think she would have given some more afford on blending in/acting human. I don't know why she could have been given that mission, but your theory is one possibility. Why would that create a paradox? With Skynet being smarter, the terminators are smarter/improved. Right? It was the wife who was leading the business. The husband probably had a different job.
  7. Basically, I would love to see any UCS model of General Grievous' ships (Soulless One, Invisible Hand, Malevolence, etc.), even though I might not be able to afford them. I could very well imagine a Soulless One in around the size of the UCS Naboo Starfighter. And while we're at it, how about a UCS Magna Guard to put next to our UCS Grievous? What I would want most, though, is a Venator-class SD - whether UCS or minifig-scale!
  8. Did it really? All the "normal" minifig-scale models are still priced up to 150 Euros/Dollars and there are still UCS sets for rich AFOLs. The only exception is the DS, which is a giant playset. Sure it would have been kinda nice to get every room from the DS as a separate, affordable, little set, but isn't it much better this way? Also, there is no sign of TLG changing this tradition, so I have really no idea what you are complaining about.
  9. Sounds neat! I hope that you will take some "before" and "after" pics and share them with us! Here are my suggestions: Have Jack-o-lantern, the headless guy who carries a pumpkin under his arm, ride through the streets on his black (skeleton) horse, like in the banner of this forum! Have the orcs from Castle roam the streets as zombies/monsters! Have Fluffy (from Harry Potter), a troll (from Harry Potter or Castle), and/or the rock monster from Rock Raiders attack something! You can put a giant spider (like those from Creator sets or Aragog from the Harry Potter set 4727) somewhere as either a Halloween decoration or a real monster attacking the town, like in that movie poster in Town Plan. Put some lime green bricks somewhere as Goosebumps-style monster blood slime or make a slime monster out of them! Scatter some Lego spiders, owls, black cats, and bats all over town! Add the Howling Hut from Harry Potter set 4756 as an abandoned and haunted house, or mod one of your own buildings to have wooden boards on the windows and doors etc! Adding a ghost or two to that would enhance the haunted feeling of it! Mod one of your buildings to look like it has been "tricked"! Perhaps, it could be wrapped in toilet paper (white plates/tiles)? Put a Grim Reaper in there somewhere, like the ones in the skeleton BP or the small Castle chess set! Some custom horror movie villains like Jason, Freddy Krueger, or Michael Myers would be neat too! This is all I can think of right now. Hope that helped.
  10. Wow! Thanks for the link, pr0, that will really help some people here! Quick, everyone, watch 'em before those get taken down too!
  11. That's just you. The rest of us still lives in the year 2008. Seriously though, I hadn't heard of anything like that.
  12. In the sixth episode of the second season of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, a little girl can be seen playing with Lego twice, and in response, her "mother" creates a large tower MOC for her. Cool! Could you put it on YouTube?
  13. Yes. I bet you can accessorize this figure just like its mini version!
  14. Thanks, simonjedi, that helped a lot especially the graph! Anyone else have some thoughts about what I talked about in my previous post?
  15. Well, I doubt that there are instructions for this particular model, but I know that there are some instructions for other large-scale SW minifigs. You can find some in this Brickshelf folder. Back on topic: I like how this model looks, but I wouldn't be all that eager to have it since it's made out of almost only normal bricks, which I have loads of. I could MOC this any day, and maybe I even will. I wouldn't mind getting this thing for free, but since I don't live in the UK... Oh well. You would want it to be made out of minifigs?! I mean, sure, getting free minifigs would be great, but still: A statue made out of minifigs? I wouldn't even know how that could work.
  16. Errr... Doesn't he have black hands right now? Look at my avatar, it's the Obi Wan from the RGS set and he looks just like the one at Legoworld. Besides, what does it matter what color his hands are? However, welcome to EB!
  17. Don't you ever pay attention!? He said that he is going to say that his character left the freighter before it exploded. Sheesh! I never said that he made the pic. Could you show me a bricklink pic or something of that "ski backpack"? I don't think I've ever seen it before. BTW, do we still have to drag Skipper24 along with us? As you said, this is probably the last chapter, so if he's not going to play anytime soon, there's no point in keeping him alive. @Adam: Nice size! Thanks! I still don't see a "Chapter 4" in there, but... whatever. Chapter 4 ON!
  18. Thanks, Jim, but I already found a way to watch it. Man, that was a pretty good episode! Some awesome violence and some interesting insights! I now understand what the purpose of the changes that the red-haired terminator made in her company is: She is trying to boost the advances in the development of artificial intelligence! That makes a whole lot of sense if you think about it! If she would succeed in creating the ultimate A.I., SkyNet would be able to create much smarter terminators, thus making it impossible for the rebels to reprogram them and send them back in time to protect John and his mother. And with nothing to protect them, the Connors (along with the whole future rebellion) would be doomed! Also, seeing as some of the newer terminators (like Cameron) tend to return to their old programing, SkyNet is already working on that problem in the future. This explains why the rebels sent back the old T-800 model to protect John from the much superior T-X during the rise of the machines: It was the only terminator model that was known to have ever been successfully completely reprogrammed. And that is probably also the reason why the T-X was given the ability to reprogram other terminators as well! It all makes sense now! I'm still not sure, though, why Catherine Weaver, the red-haired T-1000, is searching for other terminators at the same time. It could be to find Cameron, but why? To shut her down because she is believed to have been reprogrammed, or to find John through her? Somehow, I don't think that the T-1000 is after John; she has a different mission. And I'm kind of confused about Cameron. I'm not sure I understood that episode where she lost her memory. Why did she loose it? And what are her true intentions? In that episode, she said that her mission was it to infiltrate the rebel base and kill John Connor, right? So, what happened? One theory would be that she got into the base, but was discovered somehow, reprogrammed, and sent to the past as a protector. That would mean that she is now reprogrammed, but returns to her evil programing occasionally. Another theory would be that she was not actually reprogrammed and is just pretending to have been reprogrammed as part of her mission. Does anyone know the answer or have another idea? Anyway, on a lighter note, I was quite delighted to see even more Lego in the last episode! Did you see that tower that the red-haired terminator supposedly made for her daughter? That was a pretty good MOC! I seriously wonder who really made it. Either there really are AFOLs among the crew members, or they got some to make it for them. Or they got help from TLG itself! It's so creepy how the T-1000 is becoming more and more human in order to reassure her "daughter". I love it! Why, do you suppose, did she leave her alive, but not her father? Because she thought that the father was a thread to her mission, but not the child? Anyway, I really like where this show is going and I can't wait 'til the next episode!
  19. Well, I don't know how to put this, but: You better mean it this time. Last time you disappeared after only a couple of posts. And it wasn't even very clear what was going on in those posts. No hard feelings, but it would be nice if you would join up with the other characters soon and post regularly in the future, like the rules of this game call for. Other than that: Welcome back! No, he isn't! He was left for dead in front of the CIS facility, remember? Hehe, that's very nice, especially with the background and all! And - woah! - is that a custom jetpack my character is wearing? Sweet! However, the pic is still a little too big to fit in a sig. Would be nice if you could resize it for us. Additionally, as I have said before, it would be good if it would say "Chapter 4" somewhere in there. More informative, you know? And even though it's pretty cool, the font isn't very SW-ish. Perhaps you could download a SW font from somewhere? They're usually free. But that's just being nit-picky of course. Also, could someone please tell us who is who in that pic? Just to be sure.
  20. I didn't get to see the last episode completely! I wanted to record it, but my stupid TV only recorded 11 minutes of it! I didn't see anything after John almost shot himself. However, I did see how that little girl preferred to play with her Lego than hang out with her creepy Terminator mom. Can't blame her at all. This was the second appearance of Lego in this show! A clear proof that this season is better than the first one! I bet there are some AFOLs in the film crew! Does anyone know how I can catch up on the rest of the episode?
  21. You know what would be really cool? If someone would make a vig of the scene from "Saw" where that one woman is strapped on a chair with the reverse bear trap on her head, using the Break Jaw helmet piece from Agents Mission 3, 4, or 7! Unfortunately, I don't have that fig, so if anyone wants to use that idea, you're welcome to do so.
  22. Does that calendar say anything about the release of SW sets? Like the Republic Fighter Tank or any of the early 2009 stuff?
  23. I'm pretty sure it qualifies. It's very nicely done too. And don't worry about the brown, the rock piece fits very well. it looks like some of the bark is coming off the tree, making the tree seem old and rough, which enhances the Haloween feel of the vig. However, some more evil looking skellies would have been nice. :skull:
  24. Oh please let it be the MTT!! I was waiting forever for that one to go on sale so that I can build up my droid army! And with the new clone BP coming out in about three months, I will especially need it since all the clones I'll be getting will need some droids to fight!
  25. Yeah, if there is a renaissance fair that is! Seriously, though, this is a nice set! A Castle fan's dream indeed. Great figs, great accessories, great design, great everything. I especially like that it has so many of the new parts from 2009. However, I won't get it because I'm not into Castle enough to spend so much money on a Castle set.
