  1. Well, there is a trailer for PIXAR's next film "UP" finally, and it looks quite promising! Usually, Pixar shows a trailer for their next movie with the showing of their current movie, so this one is overdue since WALL E came into theaters, but now it's finally here. It's gonna be a fun movie and I can't wait to see it! You can find it here, on YouTube. The new trailer for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince looks very good as well! I am so mad, though, that they postponed it 'til freakin' July!
  2. Very true! It would have been awesome if they would have gone through the Lego aisle in Al's Toy Barn and saw the minifigs partying like the Barbies! But perhaps there is still a chance that Lego appears in 3! Let's hope!
  3. Holy s**t! Excuse the Bolt reference, but... This is beyond awesome - it's beyo-some! Kinda reminds me of Alien...
  4. Yes, we did. Someone posted a link to the Target online shop where they have a zoom feature. This is just another screenshot of the zoom-in on the minifigs.
  5. Thanks for clearing that up, KimT. Some people just can't read. Btw, could this be indexed? Or are the pics too big? On a side note, I actually did that, and it looks awesome! When I get the time to figure out a good way to take pics of it, I'll post them.
  6. While I'm starting to get a little annoyed by all your 20k Leagues talk, I do agree that it would be neat to get a Nautilus, perhaps a S@H exclusive that looks somewhat like this. A whole line of Jule Verne Vehicles would be neat! Well, this is kind of different. The point here is that Mr. Potato Head is originally a toy on its own and nothing from a movie or anything. So, Playskool would have good reason to be pissed off about the fact that a different brand is producing a toy based on their toy. ... or whose name abbreviation sounds pleasantly like DDR! (by which I mean Dance Dance Revolution of course, not Deutsch Demokratische Republik. ) Anyway, back on topic: If there was a line of Lego PIXAR sets, I would love it if there were models like this and/or this!
  7. Something for free? Gimme! I do hope it's lego.
  8. Very nice. I was wondering when somebody would do that and post it here. Where did you get the flag/wing pieces? Bricklink? Does anyone know which Jedi flies a white Eta 2? Is she the one with a white Eta 2? How do you know? That would fit, though. And yes, we do need a fig of her! Can't we please have a Felucia Duel set from TFU, TLC? Please!
  9. Make that two votes for Adam! It was him who sabotaged our cruiser, and it was him who gave us the blueprints, so it would definitely fit. What do you say, Adam? Thanks. Good call letting the droid find the machine.

    space pirates

I was planning on making a space pirate ship sometime myself, and here are some ideas I had: Instead of the jolly roger, the space pirates' logo could be the flag of the trolls from the new castle line. It looks kinda like an alien jolly roger, just without the crossed bones. Just as well, the troll minifigs are easily adapted into a mean alien race. Simply add some pirate gear and you'll have alien pirates! Differently shaped minifig heads can be used to create aliens, like the heads of the Harry Potter Goblins and House Elves or the Werewolf from Lego Studios. The Bionicle minifigs can be turned into aliens/robots as well. Try switching their heads with evil-looking skulls. This way, you'll get terminator-like looking robots! The Exo Force robots can be turned into space robot (pirates) too. Try switching their claws with weapons, like chainsaws. If you switch them with flames, it'll look like they have flamethrower arms! Substitute cutlasses with lightsabers. Substitute telescopes with the futuristic binoculars from Star Wars. Substitute cannons with laser cannons. Substitute firearms with those from Star Wars or Classic Space. Substitute eye patches with bionic eyes, like those from the Agents cyborgs or that of Ogel and the Evil Wizard. When you look through Brickshelf for inspiration, look up 3vil MOCs. With their skull-based design and dark color scheme, they have quite a piratey feel to them! This is it for now. I'll post again if I have some more ideas.
  11. Let's just say they came through a door, like a normal person droid. Well, you kinda were, but you stayed with MacK's freighter the whole time. That means Thok knew you already and could have been talking about you. But, of course, if you don't want to... Nobody has to be a traitor necessarily btw. I was just trying to turn Adam's stupid mistake of saying that we have blueprints of this secret facility into an intriguing plot twist. It's just an option in case someone wants to keep the story of a possible traitor going.
  12. But, simon... there are no teleporters in the star wars universe. After fighting off the MagnaGuards that were in their way, Adam and Garviel returned to the others. "Any luck?" Jim asked them. "No. We have to destroy it manually" replied Adam. Jim said: "Damn. That's gonna be tough. We need to..." But he was interrupted by Oky Wan who said: "Jim! Come over here! I think I noticed something. I need you to cover me little quick!" Jim ran over to him and started fighting any MagnaGuard that tried to attack them, while Oky inspected the time machine. After a moment, he said: "It's fake!" "WHAT?!" said Jim astounded. "It doesn't look operational at all. It's maybe a prototype, but not the real deal! This whole thing - IT'S A TRAP!" "Dammit!" said Jim. "I knew there was something foul about those blueprints! Who supplied us with those anyway?" Perhaps Thok was right back on Hoth, he thought. Perhaps there really is a traitor amongst us! But he didn't have much time to think about that. They had to find a way out of this situation, and fast! Sorry for the Admiral Ackbar reference. Any takers for the role of the traitor?
  13. A few things, pr0: I am pretty sure that you didn't build the MOCs in your pics yourself, and if that's the case, you should tell us that and give the true builders credit. When you type in black, you write part of the story, and when you do, you shouldn't call the characters by their players' names. So, when you say "BPac: ..." it should say "8P-4C: ...". Got it? "Then" is spelled with an "e" not an "a". What is that supposed to mean? Did they teleport there or something? Through the time machine? Sorry, but as satisfying that would be, you can't do that. He still has to appear at Padme's funeral and announce the rise of the empire in EP. 3. Yes, you are, but maybe he can still see you. Perhaps there is a big window in the control room that faces the time machine. Btw, who is shooting at you? MagnaGuards don't have blasters. Oh, and I noticed that you updated the first post, Jim! It was about time that the "This is an idea right now..."-line disappeared! But there is still an "is" missing in the first sentence.
  14. Well, you can either use slopes or tiles with monitors printed on them (if you have any) or you could just use the same kind of screen as the one in the Volcano base with the diamond sticker on it. And you should totally make a target practice room like I said, too! That would be great!
  15. Yeah, that is an interesting poster. I'm not sure which one I liked best, but the following one is pretty sweet IMO: Just look at it! It has Yoda and Mace in action poses, Obi and Anakin engaged in their duel, those neat Eta 2s, Ewan Mc-freakin-Gregor, and a big, giant Vader head in the background! I don't expect you to make a poll for this, but could you at least provide a link to some kind of SW movie poster archive? That would be very helpful.
  16. Well, a mechanic would do, since I have experience with futuristic technology and robotics but I would be honored to receive some bionic limbs myself and serve under you, mein Führer! VICTORY IS OURS!!! :skull: Alright, enough with the role playing. Let's see some pics already!
  17. I understand... It's still boring and useless though.
  18. Thanks for your opinions, guys. I am starting to think, too, that the Shipwreck Hideout would be a better choice since it's cheaper and has much more useful parts and figs. This way, I will also have more cash to spend on SW sets! Are you kidding me? The BB and CM of course! They are, like, two of the best Lego sets TLC has released in years! You can't even compare them with that giant, boring, grey triangle! Besides, if you want an ISD, you can get the minifig-sized version for $60 from Toys 'R' Us on Black Friday!
  19. Oh, sorry, didn't see that you edited that post. Oh well, since I have earned your mercy, no harm done. But just to make sure, here are some more ideas: Some security cameras and maybe some small defense turrets mounted around the base and a small monitoring room for some henchmen to sit in and look out for intruders. A room for target practice with Agents dummies as the targets. These dummies could be made out of Agents figs that you have too many of (like Chase) and unprinted heads, or at least very generic smiley heads, perhaps with only a headset to resemble an Agent better. Some kind of hobbie/recreation room for Dr. Inferno. I can't give you many ideas here; you should know best what Dr. I likes to do in his free time.
  20. So, she more like your hot sidekick then? Your top-henchman?
  21. Just look it up on wikipedia. However, I don't think they should be included in the Volcano Base. I don't think Claw-dette would like that very much. And you do not want to piss a super villain's wife off!
  22. What, no response to my heartly welcome? I even shared a cool song with you, you jerk! Nah, JK. It's all good. I'm just glad the King is back. Can we expect to see some Agents MOCs from you in the near future? We have been lacking those lately ...

    Your brickset

Well, I just discovered Brickset for myself recently, so for me, this is the perfect time for this thread to return to life! My collection is not complete yet; there still are a bunch of Technic, City, and other System sets I have to add, but most of what I own is there. You can find it here and in my sig. Pretty good collection for a 20-year old, huh?
  24. Just because the skulls have angry eyebrows?? I admit that the old jolly roger looked more authentic, but the new ones aren't that bad IMHO.
  25. Hi there! As might know, Toys 'R' Us has the Volcano Base for $60, and I have been interested in this set ever since I saw it. However, I also like the new Pirate set "Shipwreck Hideout". Both have awesome figs, both have the Agent Trace hair piece, and both have useful brown parts for steampunk and landscaping. But the Volcano Base also has a bunch of sweet silver parts, interesting hair pieces, minifig cyborg arms, and those cool trans-orange slopes and LURPs. Now, I'm low on cash and was wondering if I should get the Volcano Base for $60 while I have the chance, or if I should save $20 and get the Shipwreck Hideout once it comes out here. Which one would you choose?
