Just because you say so doesn't confirm that it's a snowspeeder. In fact, I highly doubt it is. It looks much more like a speederbike. I think, if anything, it's one of the grey blobs on the BP on the left that is a tauntaun (although I doubt it). Mostly because we are frustrated about the fact that we haven't seen anything besides some uber blurry pics of BPs from the 2010 line-up. In other words: Mr. DIA needs something to discuss!
-
1. Again: What does this confirm? 2. Riiiiight...
-
Uhm... no, thanks. I'm looking for something more like this, but in a wallpaper format.
-
What's confirming about it? That somebody drew the letters "Snowspeeder" and "XD" on it? And why would a fan wishlist mean anything?

Are there any wallpapers for this movie yet? I'd like to use one for my desktop. I always use wallpapers from upcoming movies that I'm excited for as my desktop.

Hello there. As the subtitle says, this was my entry in the Medium category in VBBN's Lego Themes contest on Brick Horizon, and I won first place with it. It recieved so much good feedback there that I thought I'd share this with you good people of EB as well. The theme that I made up for this entry is my dream licensed theme: Lego Back to the Future! Set name: Clock Tower Strike Description: A lightning bolt is about to strike Hill Valley's clock tower, and it's Marty's only hope of getting back to the future! Can Doc fix the cable in time? Includes clock tower, street lights, falling tree, tool box, Marty McFly and Doc Brown. Features: Turn the gears behind the clock to swing the bell! Pull the pin to make the tree fall onto the wire! The back of the DeLorean, which features a lightning rod that can be folded down or taken off! Take off the roof of the DeLorean to place Marty inside! Below you can see the controls of the DeLorean and Marty & Doc preparing for their adventure! A close-up of the two heroes! Interesting facts: Doc's hair is white-painted Harry Potter hair. The design of the DeLorean was inspired by 6743 Street Speeder. I wanted the clock tower to be much better, but I had to stay below the parts limit of 550. I felt honored when I found out that this creation was featured on ClassicTown.net. Hope you like it. Btw, VBBN, I'm still waiting for my prize!

Oh boy. This is a tough one. Well, let me break these down into categories for you: Bad - Mediocre: Hyena Droid Bomber - Generally, I would never call any SW set bad, but this one is an exception. The set looks almost nothing like it's "real-life" counterpart in either mode (as I pointed out here), it's made out of almost only plates and <insert that tiresome argument> pieces, and has lots of stickers. The rocket droids are kinda nice, but certainly no must-haves. Droid Gunship - Aside from the fact that I doubt that you can still find this for a reasonable price, it's nothing all that special. The figs are pretty basic, and a third of the set is made up of those big <insert that tiresome argument> quarter circle pieces. It's not bad though, and probably a nice addition to any Separatist army. Magna Guard Starfighter - The set is nicely designed, but is nothing too fancy, and the price is a bit high. Plus, it's not the most known or seen vehicle in SW. If you want MagnaGuards, I'd recommend getting the Solar Sailer instead because you get Dooku with that one. In conclusion, I wouldn't recommend these. Good, but not great: V-19 Torrent - A nice set, but very overpriced IMO. It has high swooshability and a very cool wing folding mechanism, but only one fig. Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser - Well, aside from the fact that it's completely out of scale and would therefore look out of place next to any other ship, it's overpriced and a bit thrown-together looking. However, it can certainly be modded to look better. Also, it has some neat figs. Hailfire Droid and Spider Droid - This set is pretty neat. Many describe it as a large droid battle pack. A good addition to any CIS army. Separatist Spider Droid - Another large battle pack, although a more expensive one. But the inclusion of that lovely Commander Fox fig makes up for the high price! The Homing Spider Droid tends to lean over, but never falls over. Awesome: Republic Attack Gunship - This set has been voted by EB members as the best SW set to date, even better than the Death Star! It has many great exclusive figs and is very well designed. Even the speederbike that comes with it is very cleverly designed. The only downside of this set is that it has no pilots. AT-TE Walker - One of the most iconic Republic vehicles and the only set to include Captain Rex to date. The interior might need some modding, but the fact that it is compatible with the dropship makes up for it. Plus, it comes with a cool new STAP. Republic Dropship with AT-OT - Isn't it obvious? Aside from the fact that the AT-OT has only six clones to transport, this set is pure win! Republic Fighter Tank - This is one of the best looking vehicles in the entire SW line IMO and TLG executed it very well! Believe me, you wont regret getting this! Republic Attack Shuttle - Even though it's a bit underscaled, this is a nice looking set with good playability. Plus, it comes with Mace freakin' Windu and one of the semi-rare clone pilots. Armored Assault Tank - Come on, it's got Yoda! Besides, it's one of the most iconic CIS vehicles, and I found the build of it quite enjoyable. Corporate Alliance Tank Droid - Aside from the fact that this is also a great addition to any CIS army, it comes with those awesome Jet Troopers! It's just a bit overpriced. So yeah, you should start saving up. My Top 5: Republic Fighter Tank Armored Assault Tank Republic Dropship with AT-OT Republic Attack Gunship Republic Attack Shuttle That's just my opinion of course. Hope that helped. May I ask why you didn't list Anakin's/Ahsoka's Starfighter, Anakin's Y-Wing, Solar Sailer, and Pirate Tank? (It's obvious why you didn't list the Twilight. )

Awesomesauce! I haven't even seen the first movie yet, and I can already not wait for them to make a sequel! Hopefully there will be one; there is so much potential in this! Only if the ending of the first movie allows it of course. The sequel could be called "10".

Did I hear somebody say cough my name? I'd go with C as well. For me somebody to suggest a completely different alternative, we would have to know what you already have.

Whats Your Favorite Agents Set?
Oky replied to Go Cubs Go!'s topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
You got that right. That set is so bad, it needs some serious modding to justify the money spent for it. Talk about Mod-fodder. How you could dislike the (mostly) brilliant Turbo Car is still beyond me. There are no sets called "Attack Helicopter" and "Big Turk". As an AFOL, you should know what they are called, especially since you own them. -
Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 2 Discussion
Oky replied to DarthSion's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Are you saying there are more kids liking SW than adults? Have you ever seen pics from Comic Con or a SW Celebration? I'm pretty sure there are more adults liking SW than kids. If you were referring to this TV show alone, that would be a different thing... What do you mean by that? Don't you like violent episodes? -
Then why is it marked as exclusive on S@H? I think it will be a S@H exlcusive just like the AT-OT.
-
Hm, good question. The Home One has lots of great figs and a cool A-Wing, while the Tantive is better as a set IMO. It probably has more useful parts too since the Home One is mostly made out of plates and <insert that tiresome argument> pieces. Plus, the ship can be used for OT and PT (when modded). I'd say, get the RBR and wait for an Ackbar magnet set to come out.
-
Yeah, but didn't we know this since we saw the first trailer?
-
As mentioned here, the Fighter Tank is now available again on S@H too. Also, the Midi-scale MF and the Pirate Tank are now available for the US as well.
-
That's not just some guy! That's Kai Pflaume, the host of the Lego Show! Very fitting that they chose him for the commercial IMO. The "sets" are very much like the General Mills ones, I think. Not very exciting, although I wouldn't mind getting one or two just for the heck of it. They could be useful for funny contest entries (if you know what I mean )!
-
I think we covered that already. I hate to mini-mod, but this thread is getting quite off topic. Wishes and ideas go in this thread, guys.
-
Thanks for the info but this does not deserve its own thread, it should have been posted here. I see that the Fighter Tank is available again as well!

Good to see another fan of this show around here. The animation is some of the best you can find on TV these days, and the humor is subtle, yet great. But what I like most about it is the way it is directed toward comic/cartoon geeks and makes fun of such at the same time. Season 4 starts in November! GO TEAM VENTURE!! I agree 100%! B:TAS is my definition of Batman, and Hamill does a perfect job at voicing the Joker! I always get goosebumps when I hear him do the Joker Laugh! I am really glad that he (still) provides his voice for many Batman projects. I also liked this show a lot. In fact, I enjoyed it almost more than BTAS due to the faster pace, heavier action, and futuristic setting. The writing in this show was excellent! And the Joker movie is one of my favorite movies of all time, mostly due to Hamill's brilliant performance.

A little update: Now that this sig fad is dying out, I changed my sig to this: Squidman has been arrested and the mess he has caused cleaned up. Thank you, Space Police!
-
Who told you that? I never heard of anybody being WWII obsessed currently, certainly not kids. And you think that that one episode (which wouldn't even focus on Spongebob) would make Spongebob cooler? Doubtful IMO. I think it would be more likely that kids get interested in SS again if they would expand on Spongebob & the gang's secret superhero identities, considering the current superhero movie craze. Either way, I think you just have to accept that SS is "out" and that it's gonna die out soon. Therefore, it's good that Megablocks is stuck with the Nick license now.
-
You'd be surprised how pre-"mature" some kids are these days. Considering how imature the point and quality of the images is, I'm assuming it was done by a teen. So, the images show SpongeBob flirting with Sandy. Big deal. I wouldn't stop liking the show even if some stupid "fan" drew a picture of SpongeBob, Patrick, and Squidward having a threesome. I mean, what does it matter? ... Which would be?
-
Don't bother. There is already a thread about this in the correct forum.
-
Honestly, I don't see what justifies the $25. Yes, it has a Tauntaun, and 5 figs, but only 155 pcs. And none of the figs are new. Besides, if the upcoming BPs really are Hoth, they will have a much better value than this set. For OT, I'd say Endor. As for CW, it kinda depends on what you already got, and what you are interested in, but the Snail Tank is a neat little set.

Well, personally, I don't think that castle siege is such a great set as it is made out of mostly just <insert that tiresome argument> wall and BURP pieces. If you get tower raid, drawbridge defence, and other crownie sets and put them together, you'll probably end up with a better castle than that in castle siege. Also, even though the warship is a cool set, it will probably be enough to get the troll fortress as that one comes with much better figs and is more useful because it provides your trolls with a base. Besides, the warship has no other ship to oppose. And if you ask me, the design of the Dwarves mine is kind of pointless, but it's still a nice set I guess. The Market Village, on the other hand, is a total must-buy! Let's hope it'll go on sale eventually, just like many other expensive S@H exclusives. Btw, the Troll Assault Wagon is on clearance in Target as well, just in case you don't have that one yet or could use a second one.
