Good point. If they do Four-arms in minifig scale, they'll have to do something like they did with Frenzy. Either way, there's not much point in speculating any further about this IMO since A) we don't even know if these are gonna be minifig scale yet, and B) it is said that the sets will be based on Alien Force, and Four-arms doesn't appear in that show.

Some people over at FBTB report that the Fighter Tank is available in their Target stores again. I was at my local Target today, but there was no sign of the Tank. Good thing I got it the first time around. If you haven't gotten it yet, you should check your local store. This might be your last chance to get this excellent set!

Exactly. And the "[insert genre here] Movie" movies. Anyway, back on topic: Another great short lived cartoon, as many will agree, is Invader Zim! What a crazy, twisted, stylish show!
-
Oh yeah, forgot about those too. Those are some great exceptions for Anime as well! I love the Boondocks! While the general concept of this show is dumb IMO, I do agree that Master Shake is a rather amusing character! The same voice actor does an excellent job voicing The Alchemist in the Venture Bros. as well. The Mooninites are also funny. Well, that's my opinion about some shows. As I said, I didn't mean to offend anyone. I'm just afraid that the intellectual standard of people is dropping these days, that's all.

Congrats on finally finding out. But next time, please post it in the right thread.

Oh yes! How could I forget Futurama! Futurama is awesome! Or at least it used to be. I wasn't very impressed by the movies. Hopefully it will return to its original greatness when continue the series. Superjail is... interesting. But nothing great.

Is that an in-store only thing too? I don't see anything about a Lego clearance on their website. Does anyone know how long the 10% off deal will last?

First of all, thanks, Peppermint, for creating this topic! Finally the Multimedia Forum is getting somewhere. It's topics like this or like the Harry Potter one that deserve to be pinned instead of, say, the long outdated TFU topic. Secondly, let me say that I'm a cartoon addict. The only thing I watch on TV is cartoons, and I enjoy them so much that I will keep watching most of them, even if they are something as mediocre as Family Guy. Sounds very geeky, I know, but that's how I am, and I'm sticking to it. That said, I have watched a lot of cartoon shows in the past 4 years, so get ready for a long post! I enjoy modern superhero shows, especially if they involve science fiction. (Again, very geeky, I know ) Batman: The Animated Series and its sequels (The New Batman Adventures, Batman Beyond) are some of my favorites for their dark tone and good storytelling. In fact, B:TAS is my definition of Batman. Anything that deprives from it is not "batman enough" for me. The latest show, The Brave and the Bold, is fun to watch too, but isn't nearly as intriguing as the originals. And I don't know what it is about The Batman, but I didn't really like that show. Teen Titans, despite its Anime influence, was a rather good show too. Too bad it didn't last too long. Ben 10 is a good one too, although I don't like Alien Force as much as the original show. And although they are not TV shows, the Ultimate Avengers and Hulk VS. movies were awesome! Haven't gotten around to watching Justice League yet, but I'm sure I'll like it. I am a big fan of Gendy Tartakovski's work. The Powerpuff Girls, Samurai Jack, and especially Star Wars: Clone Wars may all have a slow pace, but their action scenes are simply awesome! And they just have a certain charm to them. The new Clone Wars cartoon isn't nearly as good as the old one, but still very enjoyable. There were some short lived shows which I enjoyed: Tranformers Animated, Kids Next Door, Storm Hawks, Robotboy, and Sonic Underground. There are also shows that I like which are somewhat mediocre, but have great humor, like Phineas & Ferb, Spongebob, Fairly OddParents, or The Penguins of Madagascar. One of my favorite cartoon shows of all time is Avatar: The Last Airbender! It had a very epic story, good animation, and nice humor. And I will never forget the good old Disney cartoons with which I grew up with: Duck Tales, Darkwing Duck, TaleSpin, the Gummibears, and Rescue Rangers. I'm sad that they stopped releasing these on DVD. Aladdin, Kim Possible, and Buzz Lightyear of Star Command were great Disney toons too. Pinky and the Brain is also a favorite classic of mine. There are also a few of the "adult" cartoons which I like. My favorites are South Park, Robot Chicken, and Venture Bros. However, there are quite a few which I don't like, simply because they are just so dumb. Sometimes I wonder how these shows can appeal to supposedly mature people. As for Anime, I'm sorry, but I just can't stand it. The animation is very limited and the voicing is just so bad most of the time. And things like Pokemon are just plain stupid. No offense, I respect it as an alternate form of cartoon, but that's about it. The only Animes which I found watchable were Lupin III and Cowboy Bebop. Those are good. That's all I can think of right now. I hope I didn't offend anyone, I don't mean to flame. Thoughts or comments?

Same here. The acting was quite good, and I loved the half dark, half funny tone of the movie. Many scenes were very recognizable from the book and the whole thing was very well adapted IMO. And I'm sorry, but I disagree with almost everything that SlyOwl said about the movie. I think the whole movie was great just like it should have been. There were quite a few things that would have been scary to children, which rectifies the rating and TLC's decision not to make sets from it, I guess.

Don't you mean the one on the right? Btw, I'm pretty sure the SDCC exclusive will be something relatively new, just like the Indy one was.

Yeah, but 9/11 is nothing compared to the holocaust. I grew up in Berlin and had no idea what horrible things had occurred there mere decades ago until I learned about it in school. I was shocked that anybody (not to mention almost a whole nation) could have been this heartless and evil. And I am REALLY glad that I was born after these events. It makes me worry, though, that humanity will destroy itself in the end. However, the end of the world is so far away that I don't really care to worry. NASA and many other smart people are working on solutions to preserve humanity in the case of a possible Armageddon, so I'm sure we'll be fine (or at least I hope so). So, enjoy life and play well.

Obviously, it would be great if there were more minfig pieces, no matter from what theme. And getting the already existing pieces in more colors would be great as well. I for one would love dark grey cheese grater pieces to be available. And some more Technic stuff like gears, beams, and axle connectors.

Hm... This might be a good time for me to finally get that RAS... Thanks for that info, but for the next time, sales and such go in here.

It was supposed to be a joke. You know, because I call him immature, but call him names myself? Anyway, I'm sorry and wont do it again. Carry on.

Do you honestly think they would kill off a main character in a season opener? I don't think so. If she's gonna die, she will do it in a season (if not series) finale. However, until proven otherwise, I'll go with ECR's theory. This is what I think will happen in the Season 2 opener: Anakin & Ahsoka look for Bane, they split up, Ahsoka finds him, they fight, Bane wins by electro shocking her and kidnapps her for some reason, Anakin arrives at the fight site, finds her saber, and uses it to fight his way through to Bane and rescue her. Out of curiosity, did anybody follow my advice?

Honestly, I'd be glad if the set sucks. I'd be crushed if it's something awesome but totally overpriced.

Ignoring DarthJerkion's usual immaturity, let me say that it's rather unlikely that Mutt wont be the next Indy. I think they made that pretty clear at the end KotCS when Indy took the fedora out of Mutt's hand. If he is going to star in an Indy-related movie, it will be a spin-off at best. Seconded! That would be SO much better than Crystal Skull! Even if Ford doesn't play it.

Thanks. The head is glued, eh? Hm, that kinda ruins it for me. One of the reasons for me to get a R7 A7 is to be able to give my V-Wing droid head a body. Can you tell us where you got it? How do you know we have? Thanks a lot though. Hm... 202 pieces? That's even less than the Snail Tank. Can't be all that good IMO. Then again, I've been wrong before. And yes, I'm guessing it will be about the same price as the Indy on last year.
-
Lucky. Is any part of it glued? And is the head of yours face the right way?
-
Shouldn't that be a Yoda emoticon? Nice work, though.
-
Yeah. It would have been nice if somebody who didn't have one yet and can't just buy 'em at TRU would have won. Like me. Oh well, life's never fair. Congrats again, JD. So... When is the next contest?

Interesting topic! But not your first. This excludes sets which we bought for parts, right? And figless sets don't count, right? Sets I have gotten: Fighter Tank AAT (CW) AT-TE Walker Hailfire Droid & Spider Droid Mos Espa Podrace Millenium Falcon (Hoth) Bounty Hunter Pursuit AT-ST (old) Snowspeeder (old) Naboo Fighter(old) A-Wing Fighter(old) TIE Fighter Sets I want to buy: RGS RAS (even though Mace & the pilot are big factors for me to get this set, I chose this over the magnet set because I want the shuttle too) Ahsoka's SF AT-OT with Dropship I'm actually surprised at this high number because minifigs are very important to me these days.

Nope. If there was, you'd have it already, but there's nothing special you did to win (except for being psychic ), so you don't really deserve anything. PS: Just a friendly tip: The admins don't like it when you ask for titles and such things.

Another keychain has surfaced at Brickset: R7-A7 I hope they release one with the new-style R2 soon!

Nerd! Hehe, just kidding. But you're absolutely right. On an even more unrelated note, I'd love to see some of those Jedi relationships in the Clone Wars cartoon, for example that between Kit Fisto and Aayla Secura! It would add a lot to the character development aspect of the show (which it is quite lacking as of now IMHO ).
