  1. Oh yeah, there's that issue too. But since Disney had the permission to you use those toys as characters in TS and since Lego has a disney license, I think that should be OK because Lego is making toys of the characters, not the actual toys. Besides, the TS sets would be pretty boring if all of them would only include Woody & Buzz.
  2. Yeah, even though I convince myself that the sets will be awesome, I can't help but feel rather skeptical as well. As many said in the Bat Attack topic, TLG usually only makes vehicle based sets, and although I can see many location based sets coming from Toy Story (Andy's room, Dinoco gas station, Pizza Planet, Sid's room, Al's Toy Barn, etc.), there aren't many vehicle based sets I can see coming from it except for the scene where they ride on RC of course. In terms of making them into standard minifigs, yes. But considering how they pulled off all the SpongeBob characters, I'm pretty sure they can find a way. For example, I can easily see a Mr. Potato head done in the style of the Mrs. Puff minifig. And Ham wont be such a big deal either. Slinky however will be a tough one. Even if you are kidding, this is the wrong topic for that. Wishes & ideas go here. I agree with most of that, but as I have said a few times before, I'm pretty sure they will make a new shoulder piece mold for his chest armor/jetpack, even though the wings will probably be brick-built. He wont look fat enough if they don't. And Sandy's helmet wouldn't suit Buzz at all, so if they make a new mold for his shoulder/neck, they will also make a new half bubble helmet piece to go along with it, or at least make the new shoulder piece the way that it is compatible with one of the halves of Sandy's helmet. As I said some pages back, I don't think Buzz should have shorter legs. His legs are about as long as his body, so if they make 'em smaller, they will be too much out of proportion. Not sure whether they would make new legs for Woody, but I can definitely see them giving him a larger head. As you said, it's about twice as big as Buzz'. And when they make a new mold for his head, they may as well mold a nose on him too, just like they did with the new Squidward. And if they make an Andy fig (which I doubt they will), they could just make him a Belville fig. Yeah, but I doubt it. Pixar movies are some of the most secretive movies out there. Just look at their last movie, UP. Even I, a huge Pixar fan, didn't even know what exactly it was about until 2-3 months before its release! Besides, it is said that the TS3 sets will be part of the summer wave, so it's unlikely they would show anything of those sets yet. Yeah, let's! Then again, I'll be pretty mad if they bring back the scimitars for PoP, but didn't bother to do it for Indy! Bring on Wednesday!
  3. And you are basing this price on what? One distorted image you have seen of it some days ago? Seriously, guys, please stop trying to judge a set before you even remotely know what it's like!
  4. Yeah, but not a Super Star Destroyer. Huge difference, I know.
  5. Brickset. But does it really matter? What's so bad about the text? I think it's rather cute. Btw, I'm pretty sure jansued's comment about a UCS Super Star Destroyer is just a joke. (You know, because he can't say that it's really the Tantive IV )
  6. I know we usually don't discuss accessories and such things much here, but I thought this looks too good not to mention: 852736 LEGO Star Wars 10yr Anniversary T-shirt
  7. Hehe, I beat you all to it. Now how about we "stay on target" and start speculating what those other never-before-seen sets are? Do you think they'll be the BPs? Or do you think they wont even be SW related?
  8. Well, it looks like it has been confirmed that the Tantive IV will be unveiled at Comic-Con along with minifigs from the Toy Story and Prince of Persia sets on Wednesday. Source Note that it says "Never before seen LEGO products, including the new LEGO Star Warsâ„¢ Tantive IV starship", meaning there will be other sets revealed!
  9. According to FBTB, Lego will unveil minifigs from the Toy Story and Prince of Persia sets on wednesday!
  10. I don't think you can/should generalize it like that. I, for one, don't hate her. And who doesn't listen to Yoda? Not even Anakin ever directly disobeyed him as far as I recall.
  11. Of what? Could you please tell me what those 29 pieces are? Cause if I recall correctly, this took place in the desert with nothing nearby, so besides a tan baseplate, I really can't see how this could be much of a set really. It would probably make more sense for this to be a magnet set. As I said a few pages back, I'd love something like that too, but like others said, the point of this set would partly be to get Aayla and Bly, so he needs to be in there. Have you tried the Star Wars Glossary?
  12. Well, if they should ever make Hercules sets, we might still get a centaur.
  13. Thank god for Space Police! They have finally caught that ratchet Squidman and cleaned up the mess he has caused. I have replaced the SWCG banners with an ad for the upcoming Toy Story sets (which I am greatly anticipating) with a link to the Lego+Disney thread, and an ad for Jammiedodger's RPG "Apocalypse" with a link to the game thread.
  14. Come on, guys! Just because JD is on vacation doesn't mean you should post less. Please pick up the pace and get posting! I hope my recent post is OK with everyone. @Simonjedi & Timbit: We still need you to post a pic of your characters!
  15. Jack shook his head. "Evil Robots, Aliens, mutants, and now nanobots!... What has this world come to." Zach put his hand on Jacks shoulder. "I know," he said, "but there's no way to change that now. We have to face these threats and show them all what we humans are made of!" "Right" said Jack. They all got into the helicopter and took off toward City 17. On the way, they briefly introduced themselves to each other. As they got to the edge of City 23, Zach told John: "Fly as low as you can. With no buildings to protect us, we'll be sitting ducks for any enemy." John nodded. "It's not like it would matter," said Jack sarcastically. "The enemy can hear us coming from miles away in this flying antique anyway!" "Hey, I built this thing on my own, you know!" said John insulted. Jack didn't like his attitude. "Oh yeah? Well, let me show you something that I built!" His claw turned into a plasma cannon again, and he held it under John's nose. "Hey! What's that down there?" asked Chris, breaking the tension between the two. He pointed down at the ground where there was a figure, apparently waving at them. "It could be a trick" said Jack. "...Or it could be a survivor" said Zach. "We can use any help we can get right now, so I'd say we check it out." The others agreed with him, so John slowly brought the copter down. After landing, they got out of the helicopter and approached the mysterious man. As they got closer, Jack scanned him. "He's human" he told the others quietly. The man came toward them and said: "Hi there! My name is Loken. Garviel Loken. Me and my men are camped outside the city and picked up gun fire. I suppose that was you. We didn't know there were still any survivors here." "It's OK, we are basically just passing through" explained Zach. "Well, you must be either very stupid or very brave to come here in that." He eyed the helicopter. John grumbled. "Don't you know this city is surrounded by robots?" "Yes, we are aware of that" said Zach. "See, we are the resistance. We fight the robots and anything else that threatens the human race. Right now we are on a mission to retrieve something that is said to turn the tide of the war." "Well, me and my men are resistance too. Could we help you in your quest?" "Sure! Come, we'll give you a lift back to your base. We'll discuss everything there." Garviel nodded and they all walked back toward the helicopter. But suddenly, the vehicle was struck by a strange beam. It exploded into a million pieces. As the smoke slowly lifted, they saw an alien craft hovering above them! Dun Dun Duuun!
  16. Thanks, WhiteFang! By the way, if anyone is really curious about this Ahsoka issue, you can go to this G4 micro-site to submit the question (or any other CW related question you might have). The questions (or at least some of them) will be answered during the live presentation of Lucasfilm at Comic Con by Dave Filoni and other Clone Wars creatives, which will be broadcast on G4 on Saturday July 25th at 2:00pm ET/PT. I wont do it because I care too little.
  17. That seems to be the best solution for Rex to me as well. As for Snips & Skyguy: I don't know if you have Lego Stores in "the wonderful land of Beavers and Moose", but if you do, I would check if they have the Twilight. My Lego Store still has it, and it's still 50% off. This would be cheaper than getting Anakin's and Ahsoka's starfighters. Otherwise I'd go with the keychains again. I wish you good luck with your project, and hope that you wont bash on the CW too hard.
  18. So, if I MOC it, will you buy it from me for $1500? Why? The only set based on a videogame that they ever made was the Rogue Shadow, and that was just because TFU was a big multimedia project. And frankly, I don't think that one sold all that well, considering many disliked its look and S@H had to put it on clearance.
  19. Seconded. I'm always afraid of my cleaning ladies coming over because every time they come, something from my display disappears or gets destroyed. Once, a whole Creator Mini Robot disappeared! (the yellow one)
  20. Death - I don't believe in an afterlife, and I enjoy life (and Lego) so much that the prospect of going into an endless, dreamless sleep terrifies me. And of course I don't want anybody close to me to leave this world either. Fire - It's hot, deadly, fast, and unpredictable. A fire almost reached our house once, and I was very afraid of loosing my home and collection! Drunken people - Also very unpredictable, a danger to society, and uncomfortable to be around with. People who like Galidor sets - Now that's just scary! That's all I can think of right now.
  21. And what I meant is: What is so special about a large firox that would make you pay that much more for an already overpriced set?
  22. So, let me get this straight: You mine the crystals at the bottom of the control tower, then carry them up to the tower, put them into the container, and pull it up to the large tower, just to have them automatically dumped into a chute where they come back out at the bottom? That makes even less sense than the Dwarves Mine! Overall, this set is a quite a letdown to me. The Rock Raiders HQ at least had lasers and stuff. This is just pointless. What would've been worth $100 about a large firox?
  23. And you should stop whining about it! I don't like it either, but some people believe what they want to believe, I guess, so what are you gonna do? So... the supposedly minifig-scale MFs are midi-scale to these people?
  24. I don't hope I win at all. About raffles: Yeah, they give everyone a fair chance to win, but there's almost no challenge in them. I prefer contests. Still, thanks heaps to the admins & mods for having these raffles! It's been over 24 hours... What's up? The excitement is killing me!
  25. The postcards are NOT the Lego exclusive, guys! If you would follow the source link, you would see that they are given out at the DK booth, not the Lego booth. Besides, since when has Lego ever just "given away" exclusives at Comic Con? The real Lego exclusive (which is this one) is still a mystery. I couldn't have said it better! Seriously, KimT and CopMike have sort of already confirmed it has minifigs, so why still argue? It's almost like people want this thing to be midi-scale! YES! I knew I was right! Thanks, ADHO15, for clearing this up! Btw, since it's likely that Lego will reveal the RBR at Comic-Con, I thought I should let you all know that Lucasfilm's primary panel presentation at Comic-Con will be broadcasted on G4 on July 25 at 2:00pm ET/PT.
