I understand. I'll try it with a banner ad then. (Hope that is OK) Oh, you know what I meant.

Well, if you feel the need to discuss SW, you know where to go now. @ the admins: Since there is more demand for such a topic now, perhaps my topic could be pinned now? Or would it not be in the spirit of EB either? And also with you.
-
Back on topic: I have said this many times before, and I will say it again: I think a whole subforum for SW discussions is a bit much, I think one thread will be enough, and I have created such a thread for discussing purely SW related stuff a long time ago in a forum not so far away (LINK) but nobody cared to post in it. Apparently there is no demand for such a place.

Another board game. This time it's a collection, and isn't made out of bricks (except for the figures): Not all that exciting, but maybe still a nice way of getting lots of minifig heads, headgear, and cones in various colors.

Movie you liked but most people hated...

And how would this involve booby traps? No, no, I prefer the real plot much over that. Says Mr. Probaly. -
They sure are, and so is the broken doll. But seriously, I feel like I have seen half the movie already. I hope there are no more other previews, because I can't resist them.

I agree with that. I watched it as a kid and enjoyed it, and probably would still enjoy it today. Also, I enjoyed T3 and T4. But there is no doubt for me that both of them combined can't stand up to the greatness that is T2. In fact, it's likely that no movie will ever be able to. That movie is just pure awesomeness IMO. I also hear that many disliked The Butterfly Effect, but it's one of the best time travel movies I have seen. Oh, and I thought that The Sphere was a good sci-fi thriller. Or at least I enjoyed it when I watched it in my teen years. -

Who is this Indiana Kones you speak of? Seriously though, I agree with what has been said so far (except for the Love Guru). KOTCS, Transformers 1&2, and G.I. Joe may not be the best movies ever (at least plot-wise), but I really enjoyed them nevertheless. Here are some other movies I liked: Sky Captain And The World Of Tomorrow: I admit, it's not a very good movie, but that's kind of what makes it so great. It reminds you of those cheesy, yet adventurous and exciting 50's comic books. It was quite enjoyable to me and my dad. I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry: This movie was called "sporadically funny, casually sexist, blithely racist and about as visually sophisticated as parking-garage surveillance video" by many, but it was one of the most hilarious movies me and my mom have seen in a while. It's just our humor I guess. We thought that the actors did a great job at playing their roles and think that all the talk about sexism and racism is overrated. And obviously I highly enjoyed the prequel trilogy of the Star Wars saga and don't think that The Clone Wars is all that bad. It is made for kids, and for that, it's a pretty good movie/series. That's all I can think of right now, but I'm sure there's a few more. -
Two Corporate Alliance Tank Droids on 20% off at Target.

Well, CW heads wont do because of their clonewarsiness. And as you said, Tarkin looks too serious/mean to be Doc. Guess I'll have to wait for TLC to release a friendly old man. Thanks. That means a lot coming from a great purist minifig customizer such as yourself.

Well, MMV is a good way to start expanding your Castle collection. Yeah, but nothing else special. It's a good idea to get a good look at the real thing first.
-
Maybe? I'd say definitely. Just look at that reference pic! Those engines are almost as big as those of a podracer! I was rather disappointed by this. If I should ever end up getting this set, I'll definitely have to mod it.
-
What does that have to do with this topic? It has been said that the nick license has been handed over to MB in exchange for the Disney license, and nobody has been able to find the rumored prelim pic, so why are we still discussing this?
-
Has nobody here seen this thread? These are just crappy "sets" with only three parts and lots of stickers. The only possibly useful pieces are the chasis, but even those are hard to work with.
-
Well, I personally like to get mixed themes when I go shopping, but that may just be me. The two Indy sets are both great buys. The SP3 sets are good, but not great, especially Gold Heist is kinda as mentioned above. I wouldn't get Vader TIE unless it's on sale. The Sep Shuttle and CATD have both equally great figs, but the shuttle is a slightly better set since it has an interior and other neat playability features. On the other hand, the CATD is on sale for 20% off at Target this week, so that might be a better value. If you want to make use of that sale, go ahead and get it and another $20-30 set such as the Sep Shuttle or Space Truck Getaway. If not, I'd say, get the Indy sets and maybe even throw in a K-9 as well. Hope that helped. As I have said many times before, I don't think Home One is all that great, especially compared to such excellent sets such as Endor & MMV. MMV is pretty much a perfect set: Great design, great minifigs, and great parts. Also, it has been out a little longer than Endor, so it might sell out sooner. Endor is very good as well, design and minifigwise, but it doesn't have too many special parts. I guess it depends whether you like SW or Castle better, but MMV might be a better buy.

I just tried it out myself and you are right, the visor does sit a little too high. Too bad, I was hoping it would end up looking like Deviss' helmet: Well, as you know, he is supposed to be a jet trooper, but it's fine if you imagine that he took his armor off for eating. Or maybe it's just his day off. Nifty. Would have been nice if the DS playset had such features.

Warner Brothers planning CGI/live action LEGO film
Oky replied to Whittleberry's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Well, sure, a little bit. But most are not so hardcore about it as to buy everything down to every exclusive as you made it sound. But there is some truth in what you said, and that's why I said that it was only a little bit offensive. Nothing to worry about. I was kidding, I know what you meant. I'll take that as a compliment. Thanks. -

Well, in case you do return before that, let me just say this: -
Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 2 Discussion
Oky replied to DarthSion's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I uploaded it now! I also found this sweet poster: Who do you think the new bounty hunter in the teaser is? I don't think it's Sugi (the one on the far left of the poster) because of the big hat/helmet, and Embo has a completely different silhouette. I think it could be the changeling from the Season 2 trailer because she had such a big hat. Really? Well, it's new to me, which is strange because I watch CN almost every day. Yes, it's him. It says so in this article. -
Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 2 Discussion
Oky replied to DarthSion's topic in Culture & Multimedia
During one of the commercial breaks of tonight's showing of Nacho Libre on CN, they showed a Season 2 tease where the silhouettes of Cad Bane, 3D, Aura Sing, Bossk, and another new (female) bounty hunter walked towards the camera in slow motion in front of a dark red background. It showed a few close-ups of the silhouettes and then simply said "This Fall" before showing a red version of the Clone Wars logo. Not very informative, but still pretty cool. I'll try to record it sometime and upload it to my YouTube channel. -
Most of these don't seem too interesting, considering it's only 10%, but the Tank Droid is a pretty good deal, especially since it's so new! However, whenever there is a sale at my local Targets, the sets sell out really fast. I will have to go there tomorrow morning and see if they still have it. But just in case they're not, does anyone know Target's shipping cost/policy?
-
Well, yes, but I meant they work just like normal figs.
-
Why don't you get the magnet set with Boba in it then? It's a normal fig, you know. Other than that, there is also a good chance we might get some mandalorians soon since they are featured in the CW Season 2. Of course you can. That's the whole point of these pens, to assemble them yourself. But these pen-figs are crap, as mentioned on the first page.
-
Wrong, Striker. Check S@H, it is new. Or at least a remake of the 2008 pen. Compare: The new one has a chrome helmet and purple belt and seems to have a different type of purple.

Awesome! I've been anticipating these. They all look perfect, even Scooby! The only problem is that Fred has freckles. Now all you need is a Mystery Machine!
