  1. Thanks! I know Lilo is a bit plain and I appreciate the suggestion, but I don't think that torso would suit her. It would just add wrinkles to her dress and even in the most detailed illustrations of her, her dress is pretty smooth and wrinkle-free. Good suggestions! Unfortunately I don't have that torso and arms, so if someone else could put this together, it would be incredible!
  2. According to that article, that rumor has been debunked.
  3. Everything is Awesome! Everything is cool when you're having fun in the snow! When I think of snow, I always think about all the fun things you can build with it! Being Masterbuilders, the heroes from The Lego Movie are thinking the same thing. Here you can see them building various sculptures out of snow. Emmet is building a Snowkitty, Lucy is building a snowman of her ex, and Benny built - what else - a snowship, snowship, SNOWSHIP, fully armed with carrot missiles! Masterbuilder Snow Fun by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr Ever since I saw the orange Unikitty horn I've been wanting to make a Snowkitty, so this vignette was a great opportunity to finally build one. You can get a closer look at her here. Happy holidays and good luck everybody!
  4. I love the Worms games, so a Lego game in a very similar style would be great. It could have a character and weapon creator and a level editor in addition to a story mode and multiplayer. The environments would be completely made out of bricks and plates like in Lego Worlds, so that you can destroy chunks of it just like in Worms. Maybe it could include locations and factions from existing Lego themes so that you can pit Pirates against Ninjas, Knights vs. City Police, or Spacemen vs. Friends!
  5. I don't usually post in all-caps, but... YOUNG JUSTICE SEASON 3 IS OFFICIALLY COMING!! Very exciting news and a great victory for the fans! I just hope it will be released on Netflix and not Cartoon Network.
  6. Thanks! It took me a while to figure it out too. The key is this piece which has an X at the bottom that allows you to attach the third barrel centered.
  7. Nice! That MOS armor is perfect for him! I loved that show and I made the Hornets from it a few years ago along with a more accurate blaster for Zurg: Zurg with blaster and Hornet by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr
  8. Here is just a quick update to show you my attempt at a purist minifig of Joy. I used Marge Simpson's body and the hair from the CMF Cyborg. While this works fairly well, I still prefer my original design, so this is not meant to replace that. It's just an exercise to explore an alternate look for the character. Let me know what you think. Pure Joy by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr You can see more purist custom Disney figs and share your own in this thread that I just created. Thanks again to everyone who has supported so far! We currently have over 5600 supporters, so we're over halfway there, but we still have quite a way to go, so please keep supporting and sharing!
  9. To all who come to this happy thread, welcome! As you may know, I'm a huge Disney fan, so after the popularity of the Purist Superhero Figs thread, I figured it would be great to have a similar thread dedicated to creating purist Disney minifigs! Since it will probably be a while until we get another series of Disney CMFs (if we get one at all!) it's up to us to fill up the roster of minifigs based on Disney movies. Anything from TV shows, short films, animated features, and live-action films is welcome here! Flesh skin-toned figs are preferred since they look more accurate and fit in with the CMFs (unless the character has a different skin color in the source material of course), but yellow figs are accepted as well. Allow me to start by sharing some of my creations. First off, here is a pure Joy from Inside Out. I made her yellow since she always has that golden glow. The Cyborg hair actually suits her pretty well. By the way, if you want an official Joy minifig as well as the other emotions, please support my Inside Out Ideas project! Pure Joy by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr Next we have the Sultan and his trusted advisor Jafar along with Jago from Aladdin. The sultan's turban doesn't fit on his head completely due to the beard. He could use a cape, but sadly there are no tan capes. I'm pretty happy with Jafar, even though his skin is not the right tone. Sultan and Jafar by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr Lilo & Stitch is probably the most under-represented property in Lego, so here are some figs to fix that: Lilo herself, Pleakley, and Cobra Bubbles. Lilo looks a little... boyish, but that's just because the head and hair that are most accurate for her come from male minifigs. Lilo, Pleakley, and Cobra Bubbles by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr Also, this isn't mine, but somebody made a Beast using the minidoll head: So what combos can you come up with to make our Lego Disney dreams come true? Please share your creations along with a little description!
  10. Interesting. I did double check the instructions, so I think I built it right, but maybe there is still something I'm missing. Oops! Thanks for pointing that out. It has been fixed.
  11. Looks like we're getting that Incredibles sequel earlier than we thought! The Incredibles 2 has just switched release dates with Toy Story 4. It is now: The Incredibles 2 - June 15, 2018 Toy Story 4 - June 21, 2019 And yeah, I like to watch Super Carlin Brothers too, even though it seems like they are just repeating theories and facts that they read on the internet lately.
  12. Haha, I'd say the force was with you on that one. Trust me, you didn't miss much. That's still one of the worst episodes to date.
  13. Actor builder is right. But if you need a specific example, I believe the easiest way to connect two bridges is to stop the build after step 148 and not add the front section with the crumbling street. Instead, stick some black Technic pins on the end, connect the two bridges so that the towers are on the outer ends, fill any holes in the street with tiles, and done. If you like, you can still build the crumbling street sections and stick them on the outer ends. I hope this helps.
  14. I wouldn't use official sets for scale reference when we sometimes get vehicles at this scale: ...and sometimes at this scale.
  15. Good question. Unfortunately we don't know much about the Striker yet. The only info we have to go on is this leaked image from the upcoming Rogue One Visual Guide, and even that doesn't tell us much. There are some number values included, but I'm not sure what the "cr" stands for. Maybe it's the cost of those components in credits? I hope this helps. If had to guess, I'd say it's roughly the same length as the TIE Interceptor. None of the Interceptors Lego has produced are in scale with modern TIEs.
  16. True, the license is back with Megabloks, but maybe they could make a special deal so that they can use the 80's turtles in Dimensions? They would fit right in with all the other 80's/90's properties. My dream would be if they made a game based on the TMNT show from 2003. That one is my favorite, but I believe that's an unpopular opinion. Or even better, one with all incarnations of the turtles!
  17. Kragle I assume? I don't know which cases you're talking about (it would help if you could provide a picture or links to the threads you're talking about), but I shared some backgrounds in this thread which you can print out and use.
  18. Yeah, that would have been great. Our only hope now is that they will add TMNT into Dimensions... Your dream is already a reality! http://store.steampowered.com/app/332310/?snr=1_5_1100__1100
  19. No love for Ant-Man? Well, maybe these will tickle your funny bone: Bad Skin by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr Grand Theft Drill by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr Darth Raven by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr
  20. Just a few little jokes with Ant-Man. Gandalf Pym by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr The Elf Wasp by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr A Small Difference by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr
  21. Thanks! I think you're missing the point. The joke is that both of their best friends, Bucky and Rhodey, are both named James. But I'm glad you enjoyed the SNOT pun.
  22. Fun with Cap and Tony! The first two are jokes that got cut from my Brickheadz review. Let's start with a pun again! Snotheadz by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr MODOKheadz by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr Cap V Iron Man: Dawn of Civil War by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr
  23. Wow, this is excellent! Totally spot-on! The use of the surfboards and just about everything about the head is perfect! I hope you'll make Nick too!
  24. No, I don't think this is true. As they always say, there is no such thing as a one-use Lego part as long as you use your imagination. I can think of many things that these two parts can be used for on their own, ranging from components in a Technic build to decorative elements such as pillars or greebling. And who is to say that kids wouldn't want to create their own color combinations for the six shooter like I did? There is no way a child could do this without the help of an adult.
  25. Well, after fiddling with various tools, I finally did it. The only thing that worked for me in the end was to use a pair of pliers to grab the ring at the front firmly and pull as hard as I could. I was hoping to find a less violent method, but thankfully the parts didn't get damaged too much. I've tried that, but there's hardly anything for the tweezers to latch onto. Clever solution! I shall try this next time, thanks! It seems that Lego's designers didn't think this one through seeing as you need to either use force or come up with a contraption like this to get the parts apart.
