To all who come to this happy entry thread, welcome! In celebration of the release of the Disney CMFs and the upcoming Cinderella Castle, as well as the 60th Anniversary of the park, I decided to make an entry based on the Disneyland Resort! It's a miniature version of the map and as anyone who has visited one of the Disney theme parks will know, finding your way around the park is like navigating a giant maze. There are lots of winding paths and oftentimes you will find yourself in a dead end. So, in order to make your way to all the fun attractions and make the most out of your visit, you will need to find the correct path to the iconic Sleeping Beauty castle and master it. This addition to the Lego Ideas Maze allows you to do just that! Disneyland Maze by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr Naturally, you start at the entrance area, then make your way towards Main Street, U.S.A. But one of the horse-drawn streetcars is blocking your way, so you take a right turn into Tomorrowland. There, you pass by the Astro Orbiter and go around Space Mountain. Next, you enter Fantasyland and go through Matterhorn and It's A Small World. Disneyland maze 4 by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr Now, with the song "It's A Small World" stuck in your head, you make your way towards the Walt Disney statue in the center of the park, but kiosks selling overpriced merchandise and food (including delicious jumbo turkey legs) are blocking your way to the castle, so you go down to Adventureland. After going on the Jungle Cruise ride, you go by the Haunted Mansion in New Orleans Square and up to the Rivers of America where you can see a pirate ship. Disneyland maze 3 by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr You then find yourself in Frontierland where you ride the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. At last, you pass by the statue of Walt Disney once again and finally arrive at the castle where you can watch the glorious fireworks! Disneyland maze 2 by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr Here is a picture of the maze without the tilt system: Disneyland maze 5 by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr And here is a comparison of the top view of the maze with the map. It may not be a 100% accurate, but then again, neither is the map. Also, here's a link to LegoPegasister2015's LXF file of the official Maze set for anyone who wants to use it as a template for their digital entry. Perhaps you could add it to the first post, Bob?

Here's both the dark background from the packs as well as the light one from the official site. EDIT: EB resizes the images, so I added download links. Let me know if they don't work for you.

An amazing contest indeed! I already have some ideas and was kind of hoping a contest like this would happen. I look forward to seeing what everyone else comes up with! Actually, the Zamor spheres are slightly larger than the soccer ball making them too large to fit into the 2-stud wide corridors of the maze, so if you're going to use them, you need to accommodate the extra space in your maze. Also, Zamors don't roll as well as soccer balls due to a divot on one side.

Thanks! And yes, the color scheme of the Rifters and the look of the dragon in particular may have been inspired by a certain Mistress of All Evil. Your entry is pretty awesome too. I agree with Artanis I in saying that it is the one that looks like a theme that TLG would actually make the most. Nice work with the builds, decals, rendering, and everything.

Entry # 26: TITAN FORCE In the near future, a scientist named Professor Titanium conducts some energy experiments which result in an explosion that tears open an inter-dimensional rift. Shortly thereafter, several fearsome beasts simply known as "Rifters" escape from their dimension and begin terrorizing ours! They are evil creatures with razor sharp claws and teeth and who can fuse together to form a giant three-headed kaiju! In order to fix his mistake and fight off these monsters, Prof. Titanium builds a fleet of various specialized vehicles and hires an elite force of five pilots to operate them: Tina, Ian, Tony, Ace, and Nate. Together they are... the Titan Force! These heroes are brave, highly skilled fighters on their own, but when they work together, they become an unbeatable team! Their vehicles are very fast and armed with hi-tech weaponry that is powerful enough to fend off one Rifter at a time, but when the Titan Force needs to defeat a large Rifter kaiju, their vehicles combine into the Super Titan, a mighty giant robot that wields a power sword capable of slicing through virtually anything! With this awesome mech, along with their pet robot monkey MONK-E, they charge into battle against the vicious Rifters using their battle cry "Super Titan Force Go!" Kaiju 3.lxf Titan 2.lxf Titan Force minifigs.lxf Titan Force by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr Titan Cycle Chase 354 pcs $29.99 The Demon Dog, a wild, wolf-like Rifter, is running around the city and causing chaos! Fortunately, the twins Tina and Tony are in pursuit in their super-fast Titan Cycles! These twins are always arguing and like to tease each other, even though deep down they are quite fond of one another. They tend to be very competitive and try to outdo each other. But when a situation requires them to work together, they put their differences aside and become an unbeatable duo! Their Titan Cycles feature stud shooters that can be detached to be used as guns. When transformed, they form the legs of the Super Titan. The only color/part combos that don't exist in real life are the pink cheese graters, the pink inverted 1x3x1 slopes, and the trans-blue windshields. Titan Cycle Chase.lxf Titan Cycle Chase by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr Titan Copter Sea Serpent Showdown 403 pcs $39.99 A serpentine Rifter has been spotted out at sea and Ian in his Titan Copter is flying out to intercept it! Ian always likes to do things by the book which tends to irritate some of his more reckless teammates, but he is an excellent helicopter pilot and his attention to detail has helped the team in many situations. The Titan copter features two stud shooters and spinning rotors. When transformed, it forms the right arm and the Super Titan Power Sword! Titan Copter vs Sea Serpent.lxf Titan Copter Sea Serpent Showdown by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr Titan Jet Air Battle 590 pcs $59.99 A terrifying, dragon-like Rifter is attacking from the sky! This is a job for Ace, the ace pilot, and his Titan Jet! Ace has a bit of an ego and tends to be overconfident, but his unmatched skills as a fighter jet pilot are immeasurable to the team. Armed with two guns on each side and carrying flick-fire missiles under its wings, the Titan Jet has enough firepower to match the fire breath of the Rifter Dragon! When transformed, it forms the left arm and the jetpack of the Super Titan. Titan Jet vs Dragon.lxf Titan Jet Air Battle by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr Titan Truck vs. Terror Toad 1034 pcs $99.99 The Titan Truck is on patrol! With its powerful engine and reinforced front bumper made out of titanium, it is nearly unstoppable! But one of the largest Rifters, the Terror Toad, is on the prowl! It has poisonous claws, razor sharp teeth, and a sonic croak that can level an entire building! Can Nate, the smart and fearless leader of Titan Force, stop this amphibian menace or will he be the one to croak in the end? When transformed, the truck forms the body and head of the Super Titan. Includes Prof. Titanium and MONK-E with monkey wrench. Titan Truck vs Terror Toad 2.lxf Titan Truck vs Terror Toad by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr You can find more pictures in my photostream. Also, feel free to check out the lxf files to explore all of the details and maybe try to assemble the Titan and kaiju yourself. About this theme: This theme is obviously meant to be a throwback to super robot genre of TV shows such as Voltron, Power Rangers, and even more recent things like Symbionic Titan or Pacific Rim. It is designed to follow the trend of other recent action themes which have been throwbacks to 80's kids shows, like how Legends of Chima was a throwback to shows like Thundercats, or how Ninjago is a throwback to shows like TMNT and its many ripoffs. In a way, it is also a spiritual successor to Exo Force as you can tell by the logo design. It was very fun and challenging to come up with vehicles that look good on their own and have a coherent theme, but also work as parts of a robot, and also to create a robot design that doesn't look too similar to Voltron or the Megazord. I hope you like the result.

Interesting question. I don't think it has ever been confirmed where Peter comes from, but it's pretty clear that he is not a regular human as we see him in the film since he can fly on his own and has a sentient shadow in addition to the pointy ears and the whole never aging thing. I like to think that Peter used to be human, but his prolonged stay in Neverland has turned him into a magical being of his own, but that's a speculation for another thread.

Thanks for another excellent review, Fangy! I am obviously super excited for this series and can't wait to get my hands on a complete set of these plus a few multiples of some. I really like the distribution of these as there are three complete sets in one box and most of the figures that have spares make sense to have multiples of. By the way, I only voted the review "somewhat useful" because no matter how good the review is, I was going to get these anyway. Your reviews are always a delight to read and I hope you continue this tradition.

Actor With Most Minifig Representations Within a Span of LEGO Licenses
Oky replied to tin7_creations's topic in LEGO Licensed
Again, it depends on how you want to count it. If you only count one minifig per character per actor, then no, but if you count all the times a character has appeared in sets, then yes. I understand why people don't want to count voice actors, but not counting a minifig just because a character was represented by CGI or stuntmen or whatever in some scenes is just kind of petty in my opinion. It's still supposed to be the same character played by the same actor. Whatever tricks they used in the making of the movie to make you believe that shouldn't matter. But if that's how you want to count it, go ahead. Exactly. -
Actor With Most Minifig Representations Within a Span of LEGO Licenses
Oky replied to tin7_creations's topic in LEGO Licensed
I don't see why we can't have both. There has been a lot of debate over what should count and what shouldn't, but I think it's just different ways of looking at it. Maybe we should just keep different lists, one that includes voice actors and one that doesn't and maybe one that includes duplicates of each character across sets. CapnRex101 on Brickset actually did this recently. It's a pretty good article, so I recommend checking it out: http://brickset.com/article/19729 By the way, if we do count voice actors, we could add Beast Boy to Greg Cipes' characters (Iron Fist and Michelangelo), although he is based on the comics, not the cartoons. No, I don't think whether TLG decides to reuse a head or make a new one for a character should factor into this. That would mean that characters like Scarlet Witch or Ant-Man wouldn't count, even though they are clearly based on the movies and are meant to represent those actors, even if they do it poorly. -
Considering this is based on the parks and she is listed as a minifigure, yes.
-
True, but it's still meant to represent scenes from the movie, not from the park. Nice! Exactly what I expected. Thanks for all the info! Hopefully Donald has some new variation too, though I'm not sure what that would be. Well, this is the equivalent to the Simpsons House, so it makes sense to have variations of the four main characters in the set. In my opinion, these are the perfect characters to include, and the inclusion of the exclusive Tinkerbell actually makes this minifig lineup better than that of the Simpsons House. Agreed! They could easily use this chance to give us the missing characters from the CMF series such as Lilo, Woody, Jasmine, Jafar, or Cinderella herself. Here's hoping! Even some generic park staff or visitors would be nice. I believe! Maybe she is hiding under Peter's hat.

I can almost guarantee that this castle wont be based on the movie. They already made one for the princess line which is still available and if this is supposed to go together with the Disney CMFs (which it obviously is) it would only make sense to have it based on the park so you can put the figs in and around it. As for which park it is based on, I don't really care. They both look good to me. I would think the Sleeping Beauty one would be more iconic since it's what they use for their logo and Disneyland came first, but the WDW/Cinderella one is larger and would therefore make for a more impressive D2C set. Either way, I just hope it's a good looking set. I hope this sells well so that we can get more Disney sets.
-
This is great news! This will make a great center piece to display all the Dinsey CMF. I hope the Tinkerbell rumor is true. Like others, I hope it will come with Goofy, Pluto, and Disneyland suit versions of Mickey and Minnie, although I'm not getting my hopes up as it would be odd if they reserved main characters such as Goofy and Pluto for such an exclusive set. A Walt Disney statue would be excellent as well, and maybe a vehicle for the characters to ride in, such as one of those old-timer cars or the tram. Can't wait to see pics!

Agreed. Not everyone of importance in the galaxy needs to be related and it would defeat the purpose of making a movie separate from the main saga if they try to connect it like that. This is their chance to do something new and different and having the plot revolve around the Death Star is really the only connection this film should have to the main saga. I think that might just be a disguise to infiltrate the Empire, but who know. Interesting theory. There was actually an episode of Star Wars Rebels recently (The Honorable Ones) that gave an idea of how much in the dark most Imperials were kept about the construction of the Death Star and the proceedings surrounding it. The Empire wiped out the entire population of Geonosis in order to keep the Death Star a secret, and even though the Imperial Agent in that episode knew about this genocide, he had no idea why it was executed or what was being built there and was too afraid to ask questions. While I wouldn't expect too much insight into the bureaucracies of the Empire in this film, it would be interesting to at least get a glimpse of it.

That looks like the best damn fan film I've ever seen! But seriously, that trailer was amazing! I've detailed my thoughts here. That's no moon. It's a space station. (Sorry, somebody had to say it.) Indeed. Just put the Duros head from the battle pack with some black hair on that body and you pretty much got Thrawn.

Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion
Oky replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
YES! Official pics at last! And I'm very glad that they will be out in May rather than June or even July. They all look fantastic! Syndrome is probably my favorite. The blue eyes make him look incredibly accurate (no pun intended). I'm even on board with Buzz now that we can see his arm and leg printing. The alien still seems very unnecessary though. OK, the first teaser didn't completely sell me on this movie, but this one was much better! I'm still not a fan of the beatboxing, but we get to see a bit more of the dramatic side of the movie and that scene of Alfred getting karate-kicked into a piano is hilarious. The references to the other Batman movies were also handled much better here and I'm loving the new theme song that combines the catchy 60's theme with a modern rap style. I usually don't like rap, but this fits the tone of the movie perfectly somehow. And O-M-G-O-S-H! Clay Face! And vastly improved versions of the other villains! I really hope we get lots of sets based on this because we need to get these new versions of the villains, Green Arrow, and Alfred! I wouldn't be surprised to see a CMF series for this movie like for TLM. Now I can't wait for this movie (and the sets based on it)!
-
That doesn't mean it can't be as good as the teaser trailer for TLM. Does it really matter? I mean, who cares if it's just Finn playing. It's still a Lego Batman movie. Besides, while this Batman is voiced by the same actor and has similar personality traits, this might not be Finn's Lego Batman.
-
Neat! Not as funny or as exciting as the trailer for TLM, but this should still be fun. I also liked the Batwing in TLM way more than this one, but I do like the utility belt! Sure, it's an unnecessary mold, but it adds some more detail to the figure. Looking forward to all the minifigs this will bring us! I hope this will be a clever parody of superhero movies in the same way TLM was one about "The Chosen One" movies.

Yeah, I'm not holding my breath for Bane. I'm also still waiting for Cheetah, Saturn Girl, Vandal Savage, etc. I never really expected Giganta due to her size, but seeing how brilliantly they pulled off Giant Man, I could see them making her in a similar style! Well, there was also Lego Batman: The Movie, but that was basically just a collection of the cut scenes from Lego Batman 2, and Batman Be-Leaguered, which I believe is supposed to be in the same canon as these movies, although that never got a DVD release. However, it is available on Netflix in case you're interested.

I agree as well. Ninjago is made out of many cliches and so far they managed to pull them off well, so why not add the High School cliche? Granted, it's not the most popular trope, but I don't think it will play as big of a role as many seem to think. I'm pretty sure they are joking when they say that this is the "worst enemy" the ninjas will face.
-
Don't forget the Batmech! Since they include Batman in so many sets, they need to give him some kind of vehicle as well, and there is a rich history of Bat-vehicles for them to choose from.
