They wanted to give you a little bit of variation rather than just the same old fig in every set, just like they did with Spongebob and other characters. Also, this was back when Lego Studios was a big deal, so they wanted to encourage kids to make brickfilms with these figs by supplying different facial expressions. They even released officially commissioned brickfilms to promote this idea, like The Peril of Doc Ock. Nice collection by the way!

Absolutely agree, but sadly we live in a world ruled by bigots and overreactions, and this kind of stuff is going to happen, especially in places like the south. But let's not get political here. Honestly, the kids are a bit obnoxious, and the animation is obviously not as good, but again, I do like how the style kinda resembles the Carl Barks comics and it does seem to have the same sense of fun and adventure, so I'll still give it a chance.

Hi everyone! Here's yet another speederbike for the Racing League contest. This one is for the Overkill Oval category. The Wild Wrecker is a heavily armed, well shielded speederbike of destruction! Built around a rapid fire plasma canon and equipped with heat seeking missiles and pop-out circular saws, this mean racing machine is ready take on any opponent. It also features energy shields on the sides of the plasma canon and the driver's seat to protect them from damage. It may not be the sleekest or fastest speederbike, but it can certainly take a few hits and also deal them out tenfold! Its rider, Xorlac the Destroyer, is an intergalactic criminal who is wanted in over 20 systems with an unhealthy passion for causing mayhem and will do literally anything to cross the finish line first. Together with the Atomic Arrow and the Rapid Roadhog, this bike is part of Team Hotstreak. Here they are all together: And since I don't want to clutter up the forum with even more speederbike threads, here is my entry for the Race Team category: Team Hotstreak is comprised of a ragtag group of orange skinned aliens who have the need for speed! Fittingly, their team colors are an orange streak on a black background with glowing neon green highlights as represented on all of their vehicles and their team flag which hangs in their garage. All their vehicles use the same gamma fusion energy and the same type of hoverpad technology (a dark gray round plate with a neon green radar dish underneath). Their team number is number 3 which is marked on the side of each of their speederbikes as well as on the chest of their trusty PitBot. Also, judging from the naming convention of their bikes, they all have an affinity for alliteration. You can see them here preparing for the race in their team garage. This is my entry for the Vastland Cross category of the Lego Speederbikes Racing League contest. The Rapid Roadhog is a fast, yet durable racing bike. Covered in a cold black steel hull, it can withstand the heat and harsh environments of the Vastlands and its powerful engine can power through the strongest sandstorm. There are spare fuel tanks mounted on the underside of the bike. In the back, it has pouches for tools and supplies and fenders protecting the main exhaust and steering thrusters. The rider, Blaze "the Beast" Samson, is a grizzled old biker who was born to ride and wears a durable helmet with HUD display for navigating through the desert as well as spiked shoulder pads for protection. Together with his bike, he poses an unstoppable force for anyone or anything that dares to get in his way.

On CW's The Flash in episode S03E11 Gypsy, the Team Flash uses Lego to map out the latest challenge that Barry needs to overcome. Interestingly, they don't use the actual Flash minifig to represent him (even though Flash and Arrow merchandise has been shown to exist in this universe) and instead use a custom red astronaut, along with Andrea from Lego Friends and a silver painted Axel from Nexo Knights. However, they do use a modified version of the little Banana Co. truck from 76026 Gorilla Grodd Goes Bananas, one of the sets that features the Flash, which is a neat easter egg. By the way, for anyone interested in lighting their castle, keep an eye on this thread as Brickstuff is working on a lighting kit for this set and it's already looking promising! This be the first Lego lighting kit I'll be interested in purchasing!

This is my Nightline City entry for the Lego Speeder Bikes Racing League contest. The Atomic Arrow is an extremely fast speeder bike named after its dart-like shape and neon-green glow. Equipped with a gamma fusion engine, hard-light stabilizer wings, and powerful thrusters, this lean, mean, racing machine was built for speed! I guess they're supposed to be Japanese geta, but it just looks odd as you don't see the feet, making it seem like she's wearing them over socks. Same goes for the Hands of Time figs. And yes, I know it's not exactly the same hairpiece. I'm just saying it's odd how similar it is. Is it though? I mean, Zane has served as comedy relief quite often in the show, especially in recent seasons. Not as much as Jay of course, but they still make a lot of robot jokes with him, and the movie will probably continue that trend. Either way, it's hard to judge the characters from just this one image, so let's reserve our judgement at least until the first trailer.

What people need to understand is that this is not meant to be a movie version of the TV show. Much like the Lego Batman Movie, this film is putting a humorous new spin on a beloved franchise, hence the exaggerated character designs. There's nothing wrong with the TV show, this is simply a different interpretation of it. Yes, it's a new fabric piece.

Not really digging Kai at all. His hair looks ridiculous and I don't like the fact that he's wearing red. That really doesn't fit with the whole "realistic ninja garb" look they are going for with the others. The others look okay. It's a bit odd that Nya kinda looks like she has Pixal's hairpiece, and is she wearing flip flops? I'm loving Zane though. His angular design really matches with his robotic personality and I don't see what is so "horrific" about his hair. Looks very close to his usual hair style to me, just with the sideburns shaved off. After Lloyd, I'd say he's the closest to his original design. Then again, maybe I'm biased since he's my fav.

I don't think this has been posted yet, so here is the official synopsis from The Brick Fan: It's interesting that they seem to be making Lloyd the protagonist rather than the original four ninjas which makes sense given his personal connection to the villain of the film. Also, this confirms that this movie is indeed part of the same continuity as TLM. I think the zany sci-fi/fantasy stuff is part of the charm of the theme and the movie seems to be embracing that as it promises a Pacific Rim style mech battle and there is a flying saucer in the first look we got, so don't count on it being very grounded. I know right? Who has ever heard of a ninja wearing black? Honestly, one of the things that always bugged me was how colorful the ninja were because of how un-ninja-like it was, so I'm actually glad that they are all wearing mostly black with only accents of their individual colors rather than the other way around.

I think it's fine. It's meant for characters that don't have the classic Iron Man face shape and it works for that purpose well enough. That said, I do prefer the old one and I'm sure they will use it again for the next movie-based sets. I find it pretty ironic that everyone was complaining about the first Iron Man helmet because of the bulky visor and now that they made one without it, people are crying to have the old one back. There's just no pleasing some people. *smh

Great idea! I'd be down for some Arrowverse Brickheadz, but what I want most is more classic Disney and Pixar characters! Like all the Disney princes and princesses, the Big Hero 6, Judy and Nick, Woody and Buzz, Mr. Incredible and Syndrome, and all the emotions from Inside Out! And I know they don't have the license anymore, but from TV shows I would LOVE to get some Avatar: The Last Airbender and TMNT Brickheadz! Any classic sci-fi movie characters would be welcome too, like Doc and Marty, the Terminator, Alien, Predator, RoboCop, and Star Wars obviously. From games, I would like to see some classics like Mario, Lara Croft, or Crash Bandicoot. And this probably wont happen, but it would be cool to see some iconic minifigs recreated as Brickheadz, like Johnny Thunder, Capt. Redbeard, etc.

Glad to see I was right about them costing half of the SDCC price. It's cool to know that Batman's eyes are glow-in-the-dark. Also, it sounds like we will be getting a lot more licenses for these in the future.
