I was looking at buying them but my lack of parts and to buy the needed parts on bricklink being almost $500CDN between parts/shipping kinda put a damper on it. It is an amazing model I would love to build. I did leave all the parts in my bricklink wanted list and when I buy other parts I will be buying what I can for this set as well while I am shopping. Eventually! I am sad to see no canada on that list as well, but it is hard to find technic sets in stores here as it is so they are definitely underpromoted/lack of interest.

Lego Technic Clones
jadedomg replied to imajor's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I remember seeing a photo of a set that had a knock off of the buggy motor but never actually saw the insides of the box, I am wondering if there is knock off power functions/buggy motors out there? If there is and anyone has come across them how do they perform next to the lego electronics? -
Supercars MOC Collection
jadedomg replied to xikin's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Those are all great and I am jealous! I wish I had the disposable income to make the bricklink orders to make even 1/4 of those. -
I didn't even notice the one ring before. Even better!

This is amazing, the chrome really works well and there is so much of it. I doubt I could afford/be patient enough to have that many bricks chromed That sucks, have you tried plasti dip? maybe its a north american thing but where I used to live there was a older man who sanded his car's tires then used the plasti dip aerosol spray and they looked pretty good.

Put this set together over the past 2 days, it is bigger than I thought it would be the blades are very long. Since I only have the red and white helicopter from last year it seemed a no brainer for me to get to expand my collection :) The biggest minus for me is it doesn't look that great without the stickers and I am tempted to make it a solid colour because I tend to dislike using stickers. Overall a really great set and one that will probably stay together for a while.

Technic 1h 2013
jadedomg replied to sama's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I am excited for the F1 car because it is new to me as I don't have a technic F1 car and the parts should be different from what I have. The claw machine should be interesting as well. -
Restoring a mummy
jadedomg replied to mahjqa's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
It probably saved them a fair bit of money on the restoration as to find something custom built that would do the same thing as $20 worth of lego would cost hundreds at the very least. Really cool when people do things like this :) -
I put this model together last month and really enjoyed it. I liked the boom/crane as a alternative to the way the unimog crane was done with the pneumatics. More pneumatics would of been nice but I liked the way it functioned and it was the more interesting part of the build for me. I also love the tires they use on this set, they look to me the most realistic out of all the technic tires and the other set I have with them they just look good. My only real complaint is the front hood doesn't have a stop on it but I saw another thread here on EB where someone fixed that issue with a few parts. When I sit down with it again I will try to do the same thing. If I had as many spare tires as you guys, I defiantly would make the rear tires double stacked too!

Your mocs look great, the version 2 of the claw track is excellent. -
Tumblers and a Bat!

The tumbler is neat but the bat is wow! You did a great job on the video too. -
9398 Mini motorized crawler

Best price orders things by the lowest price for colour until the next colour. Lowest price ignores colours and shows you the lowest price for the part. -
The LEGO Wheelchair
jadedomg replied to Burf2000's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
This is great. The amount of parts and its size are crazy and on top of it you can now sit on lego and zoom around! -
9398 Mini motorized crawler
jadedomg replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
This is a really nice crawler, you did a excellent job in keeping it close to the original. -
I would still like one of those too! It is hard to think of vehicles that haven't been done and would still work under the rules lego uses for its sets. Another set with pneumatics would be nice as right now the unimog is the only set I have them in and it would be nice to see more of them in upcoming sets. If Lego really loved me, They would put out a mobile crane, bulldozer, cement mixer, front end loader and a excavator all in lime green and purple. Just imagine what would happen when you combine them.

I would like to see a garbage/recycling truck. You could have functions such as a fork lift on the front to pick up the bins and put them in the back end, then a blade to compress the trash. You could also have a lift on the side. It might be interesting. For a non vehicle, a kangaroo crane would be very interesting as it could literally build itself up.
