  1. If you go to a fabric store, you can ask for black 1mm waxed cotton cord and it is very close to the standard lego cord and won't fray as much over time.
  2. I live in ottawa, canada and haven't run across any other technic builders but have tried to convert some people :)
  3. Absolutly amazing :) another top notch model
  4. amazing guide, thank you so much for sharing it with us
  5. The unimog and 8043 pf escavator are the same price in canada and 1000 part difference. PF adds a lot of cost to the units, I wish lego would sell the sets without PF and have a PF addon every few years thats compatable with the flagships
  6. Was there not a better way to mount the M motor? it really sticks out and doesn't look good at all where it is.
  7. 9395 is $89 in canada and compared to last years prices is much more resonable. 8041 8069 and 8081 are all $79 and have 300-400 less parts.
  8. I have used a ipad to view pdf's of instructions and that works fairly well, I don't see why it would need to go past that. Lego releases the instructions as pdfs fairly quickly so you don't even need to use them when you buy a set if you don't wish.
  9. Depends on the price and parts included, if it is cheap enough parents will buy it for the kids and for everyone else it may include a good set of base parts to go crazy with your own creations if you dont have them yet
  10. Very nice, your tanks are always so well done
  11. Unless the product is really poor leaks do not do damage, most companies just don't want to have to explain to people the difference between the first concept and final product. If the concept shoes chrome parts, but then the final product substitued gray people will be disapointed and might call in. A few POTC sets had issues with chrome gold and the unshiny gold but lego set out the parts shown on the box. I really do want to know more about the helicopter.
  12. I really love 3p0's head as the angel/star on the tree
  13. Nice job, really like the LED flame thrower
  14. took me about 8-9 hours to build it and enjoyed it. Just a shame I didn't have enough spare parts to make the snowblade at the same time
  15. This really adds a lot to the model and when I rebuild mine I will have to do something similar
  16. the light and sound bricks have always come with batteries so it has to be some sort of battery box for it to not have batteries
