  1. Thank you very much for your kind offer! But i don't need a ship and if i had one i would not know what to do with it I think it would serve much better in the hands of an real seaman
  2. How will the voting be done? Will there be a thread showing all entries with a picture? Because there will be many many entries and it will be very complicated to keep an overview as a spectator
  3. Wow! Love the minifigs. The blue pilot suit looks spectacular
  4. Thank you! Thanks a lot! I will add a photo of the members of the expedition or show them in the next build I figured it would be better to have everything in one thread because, in 2 years time or so, people are unlikely to to click through several interconnected threads and i need to link to this thread only for people who want to read about the history of...
  5. For me Indiana Jones is the Lego theme of the year and The Temple of the golden Idol is the second most beautiful set of the year after Rivendell. Although it seems unlikely at the moment i really hope we'll get more Indy sets in the future. Even if its just a diorama every now and then. 77013 and 77015 also have many great parts for mocs and especially 77013 is the best priced licensed set ever. I got both sets twice. I am unsure about the fighter plane chase though but i guess i'll pick it up (for the minifigs) sooner or later too
  6. Welcome to the forum!
  7. The 2nd Maldria Expedition: Part II Another week passed without any noteworthy events. Was it a week? It is easy to loose the sense of time in these endless green hell. Although the group watched each other steadily and they found some small statues and stelae in the jungle, their origin remained unknown and not one human soul was encountered on the arduous path through the jungle. The expedition made only slow progress in the dense vegetation. A few days later they encountered the skeleton of an unfortunate gold hunter or fallen conquistador. It was impossible to tell how long he has been in this position: Still in his armor, he leaned against a palm tree and guarded a heavy wooden chest that was standing nearby in the shade. Searching the chest Hermano found some potato tubers, some grains of maize, worthless trinkets, and a leather-wrapped briefcase containing a handwritten letter. The two experienced accountants from the expedition party immediately set to work on the translation: The Rest of the letter crumbled to dust and the party continued on their path through the Maldrian jungle.
  8. I created a topic and wanted to reserve the following posts so i can edit them later and add more to the story. But my reply was always merged into the opening post. How much time must there be between the posts so they get not merged?
  9. The 2nd Maldria Expedition: Part I The first week in the Punto Sur hinterland was uneventful and the expedition party grinded its way through the dense Maldrian jungle. They planned to move eastwards between the central highlands and the coast, staying away from the highest mountains. Still, the first losses were to be mourned - Cynthia was bitten by a mule when they set up a camp one day and Hermano lost his cigars while forming the vanguard with Cynthia. After two exhausting weeks in the jungle of Maldria, the expedition group reached a clearing in the forest where an imposing stone monument was located. It was a large gate... leading nowhere. The gate was overgrown with moss and plants and a palm tree grew out of the roof. Since the expedition left Punto Sur, they have not met a soul and there have been no traces of human life around the monument. The purpose of the gate remained unknown. Did its builders still live nearby? Or was the gate a centuries-old stone testament to a lost civilization that ruled Maldria in the past? These questions and many more remained unanswered. For now... And so the camp for the night was set up. In the next days the expedition would move further to the southeast. I was always fascinated by the ornaments from the city wall from the Occupation of Batuu moc that was build as a collab by some of the crew of the Dark Times RPG, a Lego Star Wars RPG. So i tried to emulate the technique as the central part of the ornaments of the monumental gate. Though i could not exactly find out how they did it and they had much more variation i was able to build a small portion that resembles their ingenius ornaments. Shout-out to Brickz Lab and the Dark Times Crew Check out their content!
  10. Welcome to the party! Nice to have you aboard
  11. Wonderful moc all around! I love that small island, little waterfall, the moai statue and the drum. I think you could really seperate the big island and have water below the bridge like @LetsBrick suggested
  12. Those damn protestors. What will they do next? Glue themselves to the ground and throw cans of tomato soup at the racers? (Reegor Thrar is the guy Yperio bought the racer from. Of course Yperio is piloting the racer himself Now that i read my text i see i made a mistake and was not clear enough with my words )
  13. Yeah, if it is true it is a classic LEGO move. They know how to make customers happy. Not. I had planned to get some imperials from PAB online to populate mocs. We'll see. I can wait
  14. Another fine build of yours! Its a great series of mocs! Only the black wall looks kinda out of place. I understand it's because of the black wall panel from the classic set, but seeing it brickbuild i'd always wonder what it is supposed to be. Could you try dbg?
  15. I see. Makes sense! It's just a bit unfortunate that we were just few points short of sector control
  16. I don't think there will be a frontpage effect in 2 months time.
  17. I think with more than 2 of the 2x2 round bricks the stem looks somewhat unnatural.
  18. Do all points for the mercs go into sector S10? (Except possible prizes)
  19. I have enough of the new pieces to build two palm trees. That's two more than i can build with classic pieces. So i will happily use the new ones
  20. Left palm tree is using all three of the aforementioned pieces. The right tree uses just the big piece and one 2x2 round brick at the bottom and three 1x1 round bricks at the top.
