Yperio_Bricks replied to Bricksbypidy's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
In the recent weeks i was watching some wiskey (and cigar) tasting videos at YT and this looks like the place they were talking about! Superb Distillery, a masterpiece I love that gag with the flying hair and hat and of course Peter is carrying his papers with him -
MAIN CHALLENGE: Episode 1 - Backstory
Yperio_Bricks replied to MKJoshA's topic in Mysteries: A Star Wars Role-Playing Game
Here is my entry for the contest. Cat A only. Unfortunately i had not the time to build a bigger moc. In 2 or 3 months i should have more hobby time. Fingers crossed!- 19 replies

*Your entry has earned 7 XP (S:3, T:2, A:2) A vault, hidden in a large ravine between steep craggy walls of rock: Yperio was wandering through the endless tunnels of the ancient vault. Most of the power was off and most doors were locked in a open position. Few lights were shining, so there still must have been some kind of emergency power supply. While most droids were deactivated, some were still busy moving through the tunnels and different levels of the vault. On a lower level Yperio found tanks, filled with some kind of liquid and bodies in them. He could not tell if they were dead or alive. Modified power droids seemed to do the maintainance. Yperio was able to get some information from on of the droids, but the files were broken. As Yperio was moving deeper into the vault, there was no trace of valuable artifacts yet.

I always wondered how a Jedi Temple could look as a Set. I really like you moc and the mix of scales between the outside and the interior and also the inclusion of details like the Jedi library. Well done!

LEGO Ideas Discussion
Yperio_Bricks replied to The Real Indiana Jones's topic in General LEGO Discussion
The set looks pretty good On the other hand, the minifigures just look like some standard city figs Any idea about the price of the set? -
That's a great vignette! I like the brickbuild carbonite block and story about it. The force is still there despite the Besalik is frozen in carbonite! Funnily i currently build something similar for the contest. No carbonite but a tank. There will be also some artifacts. I even have lines on the floor. Damn, have to see if i remove them or so

Pirates of the Caribbean is one of the world's most successful franchises and i am pretty sure that we will get a 6th movie or spin off sooner or later. But i guess 2025 at the earliest. I hope a new movie would bring us some nice Lego sets. Fingers crossed.

Impressive build all around! That's a formidable school building and minifig posing is amazing. I also like the vegetation and the renders with the background And Peter still carries his drawing with him, almost like it is a running gag already. Love it! -

That's a nice farm! I really like the barn. Especially the roof! It's nice to see all those animals in a peaceful scene. My favorite has to be the puddle of mud in the pig paddock -
I thought so too! It's a nice name after all

Thank you! I like masonry bricks too but i try to use not too many of them. I also use (and ran out of ) white 1x2 tiles, which i use to create some texture accompanying the masonry bricks. -

Unpopular Opinions about LEGO

Sure! There could be different boxes. Like one with the basic colors like red, light and dark green, blue, yellow, orange, white... One box for the "adult" colors like tan, dark tan, sand blue, sand green, dark red, lavender,... One for the "fun" colors like light and shades of pink and violet, coral, turquoise, neon green/yellow, bright green and blue,... There could even be a box with transparent bricks of all sorts of colors. There are many possibilities. I'd imagine a box of 10 colors with 150 pieces for each color. Just basic 1x and 2x bricks. That's how i would do it In an ideal world you would be able to buy even boxes of just one color with 500 pieces each. Just go to a shop and buy a box of basic bricks for a reasonable price. Once can still dream Classic box 11030 is a good start but the color selection could be better imo. -

Unpopular Opinions about LEGO
Yperio_Bricks replied to Lego David's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I am pretty sure Lego would never give us a big box of basic bricks in desirable colors that everybody could use for landscaping, city, castle, planets, pirates, Star Wars and pretty much every other theme. They either have to mix it up with tiny parts, parts that you most probably would not need many of or "neon fun" colors and stuff like that. Imagine a big box of 1xX and 2xX basic bricks in basic colors with a price per piece of 5 cent. People would buy these boxes in masses. But profit would be lower for Lego and so the most basic thing is impossible nowadays. -

Looking for MOC Pirates vs Soldiers/Imperial
Yperio_Bricks replied to Matthias83's topic in Pirate MOCs
Yep, pirates would often disembark in some distance of an city and then surprise attack from the landside. Like Veracruz 1683 or Panama Viejo 1671, were Henry Morgan and is men marched from the Caribbean coast to the coast of the Pacific Ocean.
