  1. Wow, very nice bucket I think it would be the perfect size for 8043.
  2. Of course i would. Actually I never play with any of my sets, I buy them only to display them and only if they look good. But if the set I like has some cool functions that is a very big plus. I think the perfect example is 8285, the tow truck does not have a lot of functions but in my opinion looks great - and for that fact is one of my favorite technic trucks.
  3. Always for the kit itself. I tend to have the 1 set / year rule, but I never stick to it
  4. Great model, it is just like a mini 8258, but better
  5. As soon as I saw this new pneumatic cylinders I thought of one thing: making 8043 fully pneumatic. Are the new cylinders the same dimension as the LAs ?
  6. Damn, that is a sexy misstress  . Very nice looking MOC, really nice curves and lines.
  7. Today I had some time and I took some pics of my two old Technic motorbikes. I am partially happy with the result. I used a Canon 350D with standard lens, a A3 white piece of paper as background ( ) and the spot lights from the ceiling. I am disappointed because the white of the background did not remain white. It has a blueish tint.
  8. The new Mercedes is indeed more complicated and raised the bar very high for any other Technic set out there. Welcome back Paul B.
  9. Thank you very much for the PDF, I shall print it in the next few days and post here the result. Again many many thanks !
  10. No problem, here is the link to the modified version, if you really want I can upload the scanned one too, but the colors are very off.
  11. Very nice video Sariel, I love the good quality of the image. The crane of this set reminds me of the Unimogs crane. Again, great work !
  12. Excellent review Jim, congrats ! Pics are gorgeous like always and content is perfect. This set is a must have for me, I have the money reserved for it, I just need the set to hit the shelves. I have a question, how does it look near 8258 or 8285 ? Is it the same scale ?
  13. Hmm, I am a little disappointing, I thought the crane would be much cooler, I can see it is big, but in my opinion it lacks on details. Being blue is nice, something different for sure. The plate is ok, but I am not a big fan of planes so I will skip that. I am waiting for the Mercedes review - and hopefully someone (hey there Jim ) did a written review of it. By the way, in August I have planned a trip in Vienna, do I have any change to find @ ToysrUs the Mercedes set ? Thank you for sharing those reviews.
  14. Well today I found a scanned sticker sheet for 8461 but the colors were off, so I played with Photoshop a bit and these are the results. If someone is more skilled at modifying pictures, I thing the results may be perfect. If you think the outcome is good, I can upload the modified sticker sheet too and post it here.
  15. I think the first batch of 42009 had 2 axles, I bought mine when it appeared and I got 2 axles.
  16. Ooooo, I think Jim is preparing us something very cool ! I sense a very interesting and special photo shoot
  17. Wow, the price is higher then I expected. I was thinking of buying as it hits the shelves, but at that price maybe I will wait for a discount.
  18. Nice pictures guys, the gray background is indeed very nice ! I do not have so much talent at taking cool pics. I think this is one of my best photos taken so far .
  19. This is a very interesting build ! I like it and it is a great alternative model
  20. Because on older models (Silver Champion, Williams F1) flex axles were used to make the body of the models, they were made from a soft rubbery plastic.
  21. Although I am a Technic fan, I must admin this set is pure awesome  . Must get it as soon as it gets the store shelves.
  22. This is odd, I have my 8258 on display for over 3 years and the stickers are in perfect shape. How come yours are cracked ?
  23. Damn, that looks so sexy . Can't wait to get this set.
